merry christmas to this my new e-family. guys una too much for this forum. im seeing lots of mistakes i made in my last application. i wanna hopefully re-apply february 2015 against june resumption date, so i dey try arrange and tidy all my documents very well. abeg i need una help concerning my SOP. is it compulsory its included among the documents to submit?

Bro you have to include it since Canadian embassy do not call for interviews,so your SOP(Letter of Explanation) will stand for you in place of interview,so it's necessary...pm me for the SOP.

It's better you keep your application devoid of any complicity(in terms of putting old picture claiming to be your step brother)...so that your documents won't lack credibility...add an affidavit of sponsorship and Letter of sponsorship in that view instead,then pray hard...you will come out with success...Many people have used someone not related to them as sponsors and they got their visas..

They don't issue visa beyond the passport's expiring date...its even started there on the passport request letter...

@ Brickfield1.... Yeah u need to add your employment details which includes,employment letter,pay slips and leave letter...but in absence of ur pay slips,u can substitute it with ur SOA provided it reflects your salary.

Make ur SOP concise and clear maximum of 2 pages..

Since ur sponsor's statement of account do fall short to 500k b4 the end of the month,that means he has many dependants,will advice u get a co-sponsor,(Travel history,length of proposed stay and purpose of visit)...These can be tackled in ur SOP...Hope ur intended course of study is related to ur work experience?..(Your Employment situation,Personal asset and Financial status)...Add ur employment details which entails your employment letter,payslips and leave letter,also ur landed properties cert. in ur next application...Finally in addition to ur uncle's CSCS online statement,add his statement of stock transaction and letter of introduction from his stock broker...

There is no fixed amount of time to wait before reapplying again...once you have been able to rectify the reasons given for the delay by restructuring and repackaging ur documents u are good to go...

This is why I asked yesterday if they can or will issue trv 8months before the program starts, I'm already looking in that direction, no need to give myself false hope. After I get the med call, I'll wait for an approval msg, after that another dispatch msg before picking up. That takes a couple of weeks.

Calm down sis...and remain optimistic ...don't be surprise that u can get ur trv within a week after ur medical request drops! Believe in the 11th hour miracle ok!

Your uncle should act as a co-sponsor to your SOA(3.5m + USD 9k)...you should use the same documents you used in your previous applications,they are ok, (what i mean here is not using the same previous docs u used b4 with their old dates/stamps u gats renew/get new ones BUT same list of docs u used b4) ...But u need to work seriously on ur SOP,will help u out on it wen u re ready,also add academic leave letter and landed properties in ur next application...u will be fine...one more thing curtail the number of employment letter s from (4) as u did b4 to (1) i.e current employment letter,make ur application concise nd establish clarity as well...

Peeps don't serve and get their trv, without work experience, that there is the point I'm trying to make. Nysc or not there should bebways to tackle the issue of employment sir

Yeah peeps get their trvs without including their NYSC certs...i'm not disputing that,but the subject matter here is in reference to opsynusy's case, as a fresh graduate that is abt to round-off her NYSC,she dosn't have any other work experience apart from her NYSC PPA experience and she is not into any other business,so how then would she compose her SOP without relating it to her NYSC? And as well providing her NYSC cert. as a proof...mind u NYSC cert is among the docs listed under educational qualification in the Study permit-application checklist for Nigeria...for those that are working,basically they have work experience,so NYSC cert/experience won't be a vital document in their applications and as well forming basis of their SOP's,applications are treated on individual cases,what worked for A might not work for B...for a working class person he/she can alwaz tackle the issue of current employment situation and financial status with his/her employment details...and so does not apply to a fresh graduate that's is not working yet,as his/her sure bet of tackling the above issue is by writing a sound SOP which must cut across his/her NYSC cert/experience.

What if her CDs or ppa isn't related to her intended course of study? Won't it further complicate matters for her, there should be other ways to tackle it asides uaing nysc. I agree with her adding sponsors landed properties.. BTW opsynusy, you didn't list the documents you submitted alongside

if it isn't related to her proposed course of study she should forget adding it...read my sentence in b/w lines I stated it there "IF"it's a bit a related..."and mind u there is no other way she can tackle the issue of employment situation if she dosn't include her NYSC details...even if she gets upfront letter of employment offer,she still needs to add her NYSC experience,cos so far that's the only work experience she has for now.

@opsynusy...sorry abt the delay...will advice u defer ur admission to sept,so u can be able to finish ur NYSC...it will help u a lot in ur next application since u r a fresher,u don't need much in tackling the issue of current employment situation,ur SOP can do justice to that by relating it to the experience gotten during ur NYSC,include where u did ur PPA,job responsibilities,if ur CDS is a bit related to ur intended course of study write it there and even put ur CDS cert.join sef,ur reasons for choosing canada,as well the institution u r going to,how u intend implementing the knowledge gained when u come bk to Nigeria,ur mission and vision...(just tips in writing ur next SOP)or either ways if u can get recommendation for offer letter fine...as for personal asset add ur sponsor's landed properties...u will be fine.
