Good day house, please who has been able to get the priority visa service refund from TLS. I emailed them couple of times, they did send me a rebate form to complete, I did as instructed. After a week I emailed them again and they told me they didn’t receive the rebate form I filled. I filled in another one and since then no response yet. Has anyone been successfully in getting priority refund back ?

My kid sis and her hubby got their passports delivered to them yesterday being 31st of Dec.
Timeline:
Hubby (principal applicant); Visa application date 27th Nov
Wife (Dependant); Visa application date 1st Dec
POF matured on the 10th of Dec (funds for both in hubby’s account)
Documents uploaded for both applications on the 11th of Dec.
Biometrics; 13th Dec TLS Abuja (paid for Priority, but ended up as Standard)
Application moved to DMC; 13th Dec
Received at DMC; 14th Dec
Decision made; 22nd Dec (got to know from the letter that came with the passport)
Transferred to VAC; 30th Dec
Received at VAC; 30th Dec
Collection mail; 30th Dec
Dispatched through DHL; 30th Dec
DHL delivered; 31st Dec
No NSF mail, Didn’t send paid email.
Documents submitted:
Main applicant; CAS, passport, TB test, POF, IELTS, Degree Cert, Marriage cert, Birth certificate.
Dependant; CAS, passport, marriage cert, affidavit of change of name, wedding pics, TB test.
School; University of Dundee

The question is why would I leave in the first place?
Simple answer is I was tired. Tired of the structure, staffing, poor opportunities, I felt stuck and just wanted more.
I wanted to see what's going on out there. I wanted to be part of a standard setting and reach for my dreams which seems impossible for me or would have taken so much time. This wasn't about money. It's about fulfilment.
So, my dream of working abroad started about 2 years after school of nursing. I was working but not happy, after going for post basic program, I still felt stuck somewhere even with a public service job. With all the experiences I don't want to bore is with, I finally made up my mind in October 2018.
Booked IELTS UKVI, in January and did the test March 1st. It came out well.
Then I searched for a potential employer, did the interview and was offered appointment.
So, paper work began.

Please for the IELTS UKVI is it the academic or general?

2. Do I put my spouse as “Accompanying” OR “Non-Accompanying” if he is going to apply and join me later after I must have gotten my visa?

University of Hertfordshire is pre registration and is 2years. Try university of Sunderland is 1year

Choose University of Sunderland as the programme is accredited by NMC. Your course is only one year as you have BNSc. They accept 2.2 also and you will be given 1000 pound automatic scholarship.

They require both WAEC/NECO English C6 and letter from university that your degree programme was in English.

MSC Nursing is for people with nursing background while pre registration nursing MSC is for people without nursing background so far you meet the school requirements. Mostly nursing is just 1year while pre reg is 2years

Thanks for your response, however, from my research University of Hertfordshire MSc is 2 yrs without pre-registration and so many of them too without pre registration are 2 yrs as well. You have an idea of the ones that are just for 1 yr?

Thanks man. I heard one can hardly use Accounting to get PR due to the point. Was advised to go for IT programs. Though Accounting is included on the list of programs eligible for PR. I'm kinda confused.

Please house I have a quick question. I have my first degree in Accounting, also work in the finance department in my company. I have been making research about these programs that I found; Masters in Applied Finance (investing), Masters in Applied Finance (financial services) and Masters in Information Technology Management all at University of Wollongong. My question now is, which of these courses can I use to get PR after my studies and also be able to get job easier.

I believe we have a laid down procedure through which NJC sanction corrupt judges. there is nothing hard in getting it, you can always get it from any [service canada] around your location with the required docs within a couple of minutes.

You don't need to provide solid answers to anything.. You can enter canada as soon as you get your TRV dsnt matter whether ure resuming soon or not as long as you can take care of your living expenses. What I'm not sure of is if one can work straight up before school resumes

Yes he can work straight up before school resumes once he collects his Security Insurance Number (SIN).

Pally, study permit extension is different from TRV.The below was copied from the cic.gc.ca website:
"A temporary resident visa (TRV) will be issued if you are from a designated country for which Canada requires a visa. The TRV will be in your passport. The expiry date on this visa indicates the date by which you must enter Canada. You must enter Canada before your TRV expires. The TRV will also indicate if you can enter Canada only once (a single-entry visa) or if you can enter Canada multiple times (a multiple-entry visa)".
You have to enter Canada before the TRV expires, he has not even gotten study permit so what is he extending? What you mentioned is for those who are studying in Canada and probably have extras which will take them beyond the initial study permit gotten.
Just saw Bobola's post, spot on, let's not paint unnecessary challenges, he will be ok.He gets study permit for the duration of his program, the day he enters and when he is expected to finish irrespective of the validity of his passport or TRV. Check yours too, i just did mine again just to be sure. cheers

I don't think you should teach me what i already know @ the difference btw study permit and TRV. My study permit expiry date has the same expiry date on my TRV so with all my friends. My program ends Aug.but the expiry date on my study permit is 1st quater of next year, like I said before cases differ what is applicable to me might not be applicable to you.

Ok. I won't argue with you. But I will point another thing out from what you said. Expiry date of your study permit can never be the expiry date of your TRV in some cases. It will be the expiry date of your TRV if your TRV is valid for the duration of your studies which is suppose to be UNLESS your TRV expiry date comes earlier which can be influenced by your passport expiry date. Let me explain with an example. My passport will expire next year March, I will have to renew it in Ottawa fine, my TRV expires next year March cos they can't issue your visa more than your passport expiry date.my study permit can NEVER expire next year March cos am not done with my program. So I will have to renew my TRV while in canada in other to be able to re-enter canada. Hope you understand my point and not complicate ur opinion.

Apparently, this is another issue altogether. To digress a bit from the subject matter, mine has the expiry date on my TRV and yours is not the same, i guess cases differ based on what is applicable to the individual. Back to the root cause, where am pointing at is those cic guys that issue the study permit at the airport, they can be friendly sometimes and strict sometimes esp.in cases like this. Anyways the person in question didn't elaborate on his case and I guess I have to stop here.

I think you don't understand Akanni's post too. If the person in question already deferred his or her admission, it won't be a problem has long as he or she has the new updated admission letter. Study permit extension is based on study permit. I.e 3 months before study permit expires. TRV is just to travel to enter Canada. Your TRV might expire while u r inside canada. You just need to renew if u r going out of canada and will want to re-enter. I stand to be corrected tho.

Guess u're contradicting issues here, renewing his study permit whilst he is within Canada is not a problem, as well as renewing his TRV. But crossing the cic @ airport is where am laying emphasis on. Your study permit contains the date issued (which is the day you entered Canada) and the expiry date (the date your TRV will expire,which is written boldly) the difference between the two as it is applicable to him is just 2 months. That is where the cic guys there will pin point. Am telling you out experience let him pray he does not meet a harsh cic staff...Success

Boss I don't think anyone here can answer you this question, because their cut off varies for each draw, it's only CIC that can give you an answer to this. From the little I know they will rank your score against others, if you merit it they will issue you invite to submit your documents for PR. Guess you should get your documents ready because the invite can come at anytime with limited deadline in submitting them.

His TRV is still valid till June so he is still ok though going earlier as suggested is better.He should make sure he has his current admission letter, evidence to prove he has the funds or has paid his fees.Then, he can buy a one-way ticket as desired, not compulsory to do a return since the course is more than a year.

Bro i don't think you understand his question well.I know his TRV is still valid, but remember CIC states you apply for extension of your study permit 3 months before the expiration of your visa, and he is entering Canada 2 months before the expiration of his visa,this is what will raise an eyebrow at where they issue the study permit at the airport and after that place he has no problem as other things can be sorted out freely. had it been its a 2 year program or visiting visa he wouldn't have much questions, mind you he can't get a one way ticket now with 2 months to the end of her study visa,like I advised him earlier he should leave b4 May, fast and pray inorder to find favor at the study permit Centre at the airport and as well be smart in answering questions when he gets there.I believe he will be fine.

I got my Canada study visa last year but couldn't travel due to some personal reasons. my visa expires by June 30, 2015 and I will be travelling for my study by May 1, 2015. my flight reservation officer is saying I have to book for round-trip, instead of one-way because the visa is no more valid for one year.

Hmm...you shouldn't have waited till the 11th hour. What you are about doing is dicey, don't know what your personal reasons are. Will advice you leave for Canada this month before May, where the problem lies is at YYZ airport where they will issue you Study permit, will advice you fast and pray hard and as well be smart when you get there, once they issue you the study permit, extension of your study permit can be only be done with the help of your school's international office...Goodluck.
