gypsey: I Agree!
I thought you d' be in support of the Noisy church, perhaps you are one of the sincere christians.
Oh! Instead of parking up and moving they are wasting church funds Fighting the Eviction i gathered. and they Appear to be hating on us the Residence. what ever happens to Love your neighbours and your Enemies as they now see us as enemies. they will have to move eventually the council bows to the Jews and muslims Always. I love diplomacy, I believe in a round table discussion and since they have refused to negotiate let them be locked out asap. What message are they passing if you ask me? If Jesus was in this situation I'm sure he'll draw a conclusion for peace to reign and that might even win some folks over not wasting church funds for nonsense. |

look! i am not complaining it's just few muslims and Jews who lives in my street who made the complain. And because we live in the same street were are been dragged into it, we have to be seen to be in solidarity with them.
i understand you may not have all the Answers. Man has chosen to become a colossal problem to both himself and everything around him, if they can't tune down the volume then let them leave there are other ways of spreading the message. I would love to see how this unfolds... |

gypsey: Good! Again why are churches fractioned into different congregations are they not supppsed to be running the same race or worshipping the same God? every one of them has their own way of doctrines and praying, especially the screaming , crying and wailing, i would assume that God isn't deaf i am sure he will still hear people without all that drama.
we are in the process of evicting one church in my area, seriously, because of their noise and public disturbance. Awon evictors? Osheey! The noise part has to do with our society again, you can't shout in the UK nah, so blame your govt. for allowing that, but have you guys tried diplomacy - talking to them to reduce the noise? The many doctrine question is above my pay grade. |

gypsey: i Appreciate your concerns but i am fine, thank you! i don't want to go to a none existence heaven, i had no choice, i was a kid believing in what i grew up been told every day About This fairytale heaven and hell with no prove to back it up. it's no different from believing that Santa clause or father christmas exits. you see? during my days of church going pastor or preachers did it vocationally the pastor in my church had an Occupation (truck driver) but these days pastoring have become an Occupation this is to Answer your questions on do i think pastors are supposed to be poor? No! i don't think so! are they supposed to live outrageously extravagant lifestyle No! especially if they are using thithes or donations to fund these Ludiclous lifestyles.
people have been told, bullied, forced and coerced some times even purnished by their African parents (including mine) and Nigerian society as children into believing all the crap about heaven, hell, Jesus and God. now that i am a adult i think i have the right to choose what to believe in. so i chose to believe that All that i was told about Religion be it christianity or otherwise is just fictions, fairytales to give people hope and make them feel better and feel like they belong to the Good side. Did the contradictory so called bible not say that it will be difficult for a wealthy man to enter the kingdom of so called heaven and asked the wealthy to give up their wealths? so why do the people of God need wealth?
Every so called christian appeasrs to know were heaven is located but can not tell were hell is located. what if in the end those who have believed this fairytales realises that it was all lies? but they will not consider that because they are in denial.
my believe is, i am not sure if heaven, hell, God Or jesus existed or exists until..... perhaps that day comes if it will ever come! i am sure a lot of christians would Agree with me, while some would be Afraid to even think like i do. there is no end to this earth as i was made to believe by churches. history have also told us that this world have been in existence for more 1 million years (not that i believe that too) and may carry on for Another 1 million years No one Knows! Now I understand your point, and I must say they are valid. When I was about 16 thereabout I stopped attending church for almost a year plus, I was asking questions nobody was answering, literally I hate the band wagon movement the nature of my person is to be inquisitive and ask questions. My mother preached and preached back then till she left me alone, it took me years to find the answer I seek and now I'm well informed. Personally this issue is deep, I've been a serving head usher for almost 4 years and bring in the front line of auditing and remitting church finances I tell you from my angle that the problem lies with the Regional HQ's, monies would be remitted monthly, yearly and its not that there's no accounting not auditing it's simply because there's no "feedback" to the people on how the cash was spent. Let me explain, there are full time pastors as in full time pastors who get paid by the church monthly, there are missionaries, there are operational costs (from the HQ down to every branch), then there's the big one that causes the fight which is the building projects, and the new problem - private Jet. These monies are spent on these things and nobody cares to provide a blueprint as to how these funds were spent, more like how the Nigerian society works in taxes, nobody feels answerable to the people who are actually contributing these monies and my friend this is the colossal problem. Aaron and his sons were priests in the Bible, full time workers for God more like full time pastors now and what he and his family ate was provided from the sacrifices offered to God, now again don't get me wrong. I am not in support of the way churches in Nigeria spend the tithes and offering, a new means of transparency has to be devised - but come to think of it is it not the same way our society is working on taxation and other fees paid to the government? Way forward - I believe the love of money is destroying the church and chasing people out of it, people wake up and do ridiculous things all in the name of God and that's why I keep saying that being a Christian excludes going to church and being good in the eyes of the society, we have so many people that don't even know why there are in church. The churches has to start giving public account to its members as to how the funds are being spent, who's buying the jets? funding the billion Naira project? paying the full time pastors? and other expenses? Let there be transparency, I believe this would restore some hope. Other than the finance part I think Nigerians don't have a problem with the church, so in my opinion in order to restore some dignity transparency on how these funds are spent to the kobo has to be published. |

gypsey: you can preach all you like, it wouldn't change my opinion About chuches and Religion, i used to sound like you! until i began use my common sense! Yes! the thithing and donations are booming because most church goers are so gullible, plus they have been sold false hopes and miracles! even the so called pastors are not sure of their fates.
Churches owns all these ventures you have mentioned? and you still haven't figured it out yet that churches are just business centres? i thought that church or Religion is supposed to be About salvation, why are chuches more interested in so much wealth Aquisitions? perhaps they do not believe in the so called heaven were their rewards are Afterall! After salvation, what's next? This is a message series I'm still believing God to complete. After salvation, is a Christian suppose to be poor and wretched? Why does God leave us here on earth after salvation, why don't he take us to heaven directly since that's the aim of salvation? My friend I can't pour everything out here, and to think you "were once like me me" makes me sad the more. I don't preach and I'm not preaching to you but from your analysis it's the tithe and offering that's your problem? I've been there too, did it occur to you to ask God to open you eyes on effective ways to pay your tithe that would benefit men since you have lost faith in the church? It's like you people think Christians are supposed to be poor and wretched, nah! A true Christian who knows his way is supposed to dominate the earth in all ramifications keeping his/her salvation in check all the way, we are not meant to be poor or loose our salvation in the process of enjoying the riches in this life. Let me tell you I know of a ma who pays his tithe to neighbours in forms of groceries, etc and he's still a Christian, but let me also point out that he didn't stumble on that decision he played about it and got direction from God. I'm not judging but your faith was shallow that's why you left Christ, if you knew the Christ you claimed to follow you would have asked questions and gotten answers and not depart. There was one day in workers meeting I asked my pastor what was being done with the tithe and contributions, this opened a discussion for months and I resolved by asking for directions from God on how to pay my title that it would benefit men and also bless me. See gist plenty, now your matter con dey pain me to know you were once in the fold. If you look at people you'll miss heaven and denounce Christ that's the truth, the scripture says "looking up to Christ who's the author and finisher of our faith." |

Perhaps in your own church you have upgraded, because the thithing and donations are booming, i guess.
Naa! there is no way i am moving from my own mansion just because of crooked pastors and their cheap loud speakers, if Anything we will be evitcting them from the area, Anyway it doesn't matter were i move to they are there! they have become an epidemic. I'll be honest oh the tithing and offerings have boomed Who do you wanna evict? The churches that own schools, streets, private jets, etc... we are rich man! On a more serious note, what you people should know is that church isn't a person nor a group of people, it's carrying the embodiment of Christ in you. Like any other set up, there must be people who would make you think the system is flawed but the beauty of Christianity is that there is direct access to God - where you can speak with God directly and achieve what true Christianity is all about. People are failing Christianity, I wouldn't deny that but it takes one who's rooted to discern who's who, but unfortunately non Christians take pleasure in bashing a process they don't understand and they have a leverage simply because the bad eggs have dragged the name of Christ through the mud. I can go on and on but I don't expect you to understand in a giffy. Happy Sunday jare, I hope that's not a sin in your books too? |

It's only Christianity you people attack, as far as you're not a Christian and don't believe in Christianity you have no right to judge or even talk about Christianity. I'm not an idol worshipper nor an atheist but when issues relating to these ideologies arise I stay afar off and try to learn from people's input, since Christianity is you people's problem continue breaking your heads.
After all its only talk you would talk and nothing would happen, I'll end this post with what I always tell people, "the beauty of TRUE Christianity is the ability to have a personal relationship with God, he speaks to you and you speak to him, your concerns about life would be settled with a word which later turns to results, this is the summary of the matter. On a normal day I would ignore you but your stupidity has to be addressed today and now. If you're the standard of Christianity I would gladly walk into hell, is this how Jesus would speak? But thank God you're not the standard for being called a child of God. Mr adult Christian, you can't argue with my spirit man, I don't have the time to go into details. In this age of deception, when I see it hear things I know which is which immediately, I don't need any further consultations. You people have turned God up some Hitler figure, go back to why Christ died on the cross so your self righteousness does not lead you to hell both here on earth and the real lake of fire. The same Paul apostle that persecuted Christians approached the people of corinthians telling them that he has wronged no man and asking them to accept him and what he has to offer. Jesus came to break all the useless laws of the old, make I stop here before I open Bible for your head. There's no condemnation in Christ, end of story. P.S Once saved isn't always saved, salvation could be lost, before you foolishly quote me again to say I'm encouraging sin. |
