ok explain to me why I need a middle man at this age of development if the insurance companies do what they ought.

Just like stock brokers or forex brokers, insurance brokers are here to provide advisory (and other roles) to its clients which includes the insured, the cedant and the reinsurer.

We are abreast with the market and we know who is who regarding certain policies, we know who would provide our clients the best rate and who provide the best claims payment. We arrive at this conclusion with series of data gathered overview years.

Technically after accepting to provide you with an insurance cover, depending on the nature of the risk involved the insurance company which we call the cedant writes to we the brokers seeking a second market to share part of the accepted risk with who we call the reinsurer.

Let me not bore you, long and short is most insurance companies are in the habit of eating their cakes and having it back and if not for NAICOM we would have been singing a different sad song.

You want effectiveness on your policy and claims go through the brokers, even if you don't the business still come back to us but before your policy holder would write us about your claim it usually comes in weeks or months after date of loss and while we speeding process for payment tops 48 hours and write back to your policy holder you're there waiting and getting vexed.

So you see why we make things easier and are highly recommended.

That's the problem some of those companies have. I actually have a reservation about IGI as a company but I don't want to share it here so it won't seem as demarketing them. Obviously one of the staff did not register your policy in their books immediately they received payment and now they are making you suffer that burden.

This is one if the reasons it's advisable to procure insurance policies through brokers, they dare not try this delay tactics on a business placed with them by a broker. They definitely won't do that.

As I've said earlier, when next you are sending them mail let them know if you don't get your settlement offer within 3days you are writing a formal complaint letter expressing your disatisfaction and you will be sending it straight to NAICOM.

Some people need to learn the hard way before they appreciate the role of brokers. I hear bankers complain about their work hours and I laugh, with less than 5 months bring an insurance broker the diff is clear like 7 up.

How wouldn't we be swift when NAICOM would not allow person to sleep with two eyes closed.

Bros, check your calculations again.
That #900k is per year not per quarter grin
A quarter will be #225k

Yeah, I made a mistake jare I've ststed that with the other guys. But technically it's 182 days to to a min if 10% so that's 2 rollover in a year. My general point was to make him take a chill pill and plan this thing through, 8/10 times I've seen people in his situation get it wrong and it makes me wonder.

Oga, this your calculation get K+Y leg. Re-check because this isnt true

I miscalculated the days in each quarter jare, my bad. But my point is the OP needs to put that funds somewhere now and go have a deep rethink before embarking on any further journey. The Canada option would have been juicy if he didn't have that much in Nigeria to operate with, not taking 9m that can do wonders here to Canada only to start from the basics again.

Stop given wrong advise and people clicking like for you.

Who told you that if 91 days NTB is 10%, and he decides to purchase with #9m he will earn #900k quarterly?

My friend, you got it wrong. It will be #900,000/4 = #225,000 quarterly.

Mind you, TB isn't investment. It is an avenue to keep idle money afloat with inflationary pressure rather than keeping it in savings account, which will amount to losing value.

At times of confusion like this the best thing to do is to sink that money somewhere and have a clear plan in order to avoid mistakes. Even my dog knows TB isn't a business venture but history has shown that people in this position get it wrong 8/10 times. If you noticed I wasn't in support of his pure water biz cuz it'll fail (don't ask me how), going to Canada isn't bad but let him make that choice with his own guts and not coerced to, I can't have 9m in Nigeria and travel to Canada to start all over again but let him decide on his own.

As for the TB analysis, it's technically flawed I miscalculated the days in each quarter. I've been juiced over the week, preparing series if quarterly account statements. But hope you get the point? All he needs to do now is to think and plan and be prepared to live with the outcome.

Mr OP, your 9million divided into 4 quarters of FG treasury bills with a min if 10% interest rate would fetch you about 900k * 4 yearly while you keep strolling to your contract job knowing you're functioning on full cylinders.

What you're feeling now is all in your head, don't squander that 9mill only to regret tomorrow oooo. For someone like me that loves risk, I'll multiply that 9mill by 3 given 1 year tops.

Study the pure water biz intoto but I believe there are more lucrative venture to multiply that cash.

The day I knew Nigerians were really hungry was when I witnessed an accident involving an okada and a mini bus, the woman was injured lying on the floor with about 10 sympathisers around her - not up to 12 mins we learnt her phone was missing and it remained missing till I left the place.

So you want to buy the phone with a weaker battery because it charges 1 hour faster.

Lol, it doesn't work like that overall the T5 is better buy when considering purchase price the redmi becomes preferred. About the battery size that of the T5 is still considerable. Currently the battery size of my phone is 2850mah, I charge twice daily and can go 12 hours with normal songs before the battery gets drained.

Your last statement says it all.....

NB : The Note 8 is a very impressive device and would simply keep giving.......

That note 8 na fool ooo, as a note fan it's just the size from the conventional note 4 that's the issue since I'm not mobile for now. I love the note series.

Same pic with the OnePlus 5T this time. Notice the better pic quality.

Obviously better. but I have an issue with the redmi not having the much needed fast charging feat. Aside being in the office with guaranteed power supply and at home by night I barely get good power supply elsewhere so that means if I have a 2% on Saturday morning outdoors on my redmi it's kaboom till night fall. I'll rather stick with the one plus, my opinion though.
