DTaj: I wrote, here, a few weeks ago, that how Chelsea, an illustrious British club, hired Graham Potter, a mediocre manager, who had NEVER WON ANYTHING (NOT EVEN A SPOON!!!) in his career, was surprising; but so many Chelsea fans insulted me to no end...
How could you hire Graham Potter, a mid-to-lower-table Manager, whose best career height was manager of lowly Brighton, and expect wonderful results?
Would equally big clubs, such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City hire managers in the mold of Sam Alardyce, Sean Dyche, Tony Pulis, Alan Pardew, Steve Cooper, etc, etc, and win anything or play beautiful football? These managers you mentioned have more experience than arteta, is he not playing beautiful football and a FA cup trophy to boot? |

Dweebs like him are always quick to compare us with other countries( even when their indices are better than ours)... If egg is scarce in UK then what, how about their minimum wage and standard of living, healthcare, security? They won't see those ones, Wicked cretinous vile demons posing as humans |

lhordspy: These days everyone feels like they are something worthy of an opinion. Like they truly have a voice. Celebrities that are worthl*ss just as their opinion.
France and UK battling inflation. Egg is scarce in UK, shortage of baby-food in US, Argentina inflation rate is nearing 100% , Germany, Columbia, Venezuela, Ecuador are fighting pre-covid survival due to high cost of living. Libya is in turmoil, Ukrainians don't even have a country to call theirs.
Yet our Bunch of irrelevant political tools disguising as yeyebrities are using the country's situation to invoke cheap attention.
But they are never at fault. People like the OP that gives credence and attach importance to what clowns like this failed comedian Mr macaroni or forgotten musicians like Psquare brothers says, is the culprit here. People who lacks basic knowledge on how to run even the commonest POS business will always want to chase-clout by criticising those running one of the biggest country in Africa.
Nonsense and ingredient. You sef rambling are a nonentity Prepare to cry more on 25th |

pocohantas: It is common sense that the bride price is presented physically. I am sure you saw the money change hands, probably from him, to his father, to the eldest man in her family and to her own father. Everyone would see it live and agree it was paid. These are rituals that a transfer doesn’t help.
The father might keep it somewhere safely, because some of them DO NOT spend it. Any day yawa starts, he would bring it out from his old box.
What is N2000 that a serious minded man who knew he would be getting married since 2018 couldn’t get? Among his ENTOURAGE, no single person had N2000? Collectively they also couldn’t raise N2000? What a set… Honestly I'm surprised How can they not hold cash while going for trad? |

Sonnobax15: Today, a friend of mine invited me to the traditional marriage ceremony of his brother in-law......
After travelling for over 2hours via my keke, so we finally got to our destination. After exchanging pleasantries, kola nuts and other traditional rites were done, then it was left for the main dowry which was #2000. It was then the bigger problem came because the groom's family didn't come with cash. They insisted on doing transfer but the bride's family insisted on it, saying it must be paid with cash.
Omoh, the whole thing became funny . The bride's elder brother kept insisting on it until a POS attendant was invited into the situation. The dowry's money was later withdrawn and paid in cash.
Now, my question is, is it right to pay Bride price via transfer considering the new currency policy that's affecting everyone at this moment? Or the groom's family could have withdrawn the money and kept it until the D-day while it was crystal clear it could have expired due to the deadline of the naira swap?
Mods abeg make una shift this thread to the permanent site so that make other enlightened nairaladers for torchlight the matter small. It's expedient to do it the right way which is cash presentation |
