Dear Christian Leaders,
While obj writes to Mr. president, I choose to write you because Christianity is my constituency as far as religious divide is concerned in Nigeria.

It beats my imagination the rate at which a section of our prominent Christian leaders are keeping mute over the rising insecurity in the country. Apart from CAN, Catholic bishops conference(and individual bishops) and some modicum of Anglican bishops and one pastor Suleman, It seems other 'prominent' Christian leaders among you are shying sway from the scourge bedevilling our country today. Some of you will choose to talk only when a member ,a prominent citizen is a victim or perhaps, when you are forced to talk by the masses and pressmen. All these are part of indices that the sanctity of human life is eroding our society.

Recently, I saw a 'one million march' threat from RCCG leader during the time of Jonathan administration over the spate of kidnappings in the country and we which was very commendable then. Honestly, when one looks around today and juxtapose the security situations when this threat was made and that of today, one will continue imagine the objectivity of certain public criticisms that had surfaced in the past.
That a particular Christian denomination or bloc has a prominent member in a particular government is not enough for one to remain silent when innocent lives are wasted almost daily to senseless and unscrupulous killings in the land. Whenever there is rising insecurity in Nigeria intrinsically, Government is to be held responsible because it is well enshrined in the law book of the land about the primary responsibility of government .
Let you, our prominent Christian leaders continue to engage the government of the day consistently until a certain stability is gained in our security fabrics. Let those who talked before continue to talk or else the whole thing becomes hypocrisy and inconsistency so long as human lives are involved.

Yours sincerely,
Archangel1

psychlogically ,when you attain a certain age, certain things should change. Apart from sexual temptation as many may be insinuating, you need a little detachment from your dad unless you don't want to marry quick or feel for another man to form your own marital home.
PoliticsRe: Defend Nigeria With Your Lives, Osinbajo Tells Military by archangel1(m): 8:45am On Jul 11, 2019
chidima2019:
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo wednesday charged military officers and men to be ready always to defend Nigeria with their lives.

Osinbajo, who served as the reviewing officer at the passing out parade of the Direct Short Service Course 28 of 2019 comprising 187 new officers, held at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base in Kaduna, described military career, which is to defend the territorial integrity of the country, as the most civic service.

According to him, beyond earning salary and getting a chance to wear a coveted uniform, the military should put their lives on the line for the safety and welfare of Nigerians.

He, however, told the new military officers that Nigeria was still grappling with insurgency in the North-east, and kidnapping and banditry in other parts of the country.

The vice president said given the security challenges confronting the nation, the new officers would soon be busy by fulfilling their responsibilities to the military and the country.

He said: “As you already know, this profession you have chosen requires absolute discipline, loyalty and hard work. It is much more than just securing a job, or earning a salary; and more than just getting the chance to wear a coveted uniform or wield coveted weapons. This is the ultimate form of civic service to defend the territorial integrity of your country and to put your life on the line for the safety and welfare of millions of your countrymen and women. There is no nobler occupation than this one you have chosen.

“You are passing out at a time when our nation is grappling with an insurgency in the North-east, and the challenges of kidnapping and banditry in other parts of the country. You will, therefore, have come to terms with the fact that the days and weeks and months ahead of you will be extremely busy, as you fulfil your responsibilities to the military and the nation.

“While the armed forces have effectively contained the territorial ambitions of the Boko Haram terrorists by substantially degrading their capacity to attack and wreak havoc, they remain intent on shedding blood and sowing fear. There is also the threat of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) in the Lake Chad Islands and part of Southern Borno.

“Also, more often these days, these insurgents are focusing on soft targets, opportunistic attacks on isolated military units, as well as an increasingly sophisticated propaganda aimed at making them out to be more organised and lethal than they really are.

“This ever-increasing reliance on propaganda is a reminder that this is not only a ‘battleground’ war; it is just as much an information-and-narrative war. Winning hearts and minds has always been important in military warfare; it is even more so in a century defined by information and communication technologies.

“As 21st-century military officers, how you project your strength and confidence to your enemies and the world, especially using social and digital media tools, is as important as the sophistication of the conventional arms and ammunition that you wield.

“But to do so effectively also means that you must take the time and trouble to fully understand the nature of the threats that confront us, the narratives and philosophies that underlie those threats,” the vice president stated.

Osinbajo told the officers that President Muhammadu Buhari, in collaboration with governors, has been reviewing the security architecture of the country, which involved not just the armed forces but also the police, who have recently announced their community policing strategy.

He said: “This initiative involves the recruitment and training of policemen in each local government and ensuring that such new policemen remain in their local governments working with local and traditional authorities to maintain peace and security.

“As the President has said, security is a 24-hour occupation involving continuous investments in strategy and innovation. We will continue to take all necessary measures to tackle all forms of criminality across the country and to safeguard lives and property of all Nigerians.

“The Nigerian Air Force will, as part of the Armed Forces, continued to be at the forefront of our national security interventions. I note in particular the extremely successful digitally accurate bombings of terrorist hideouts in April that led to the destruction of Boko Haram mechanic workshop in Borno
“In May, there were airstrikes on Tumbun Hamma on the fringes of Lake Chad, inflicting heavy casualties on ISWAP forces under Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole; while in June, airstrikes on Sambisa Forest further eliminated insurgents
“It is particularly commendable that you are adopting measures to ensure that the resources available to you are used judiciously; in a manner that delivers optimal results and maximum value for money.

“This nation is great and can only become greater. We are Africa’s largest economy by GDP – states of Nigeria have larger economies than many African states. We have become the last frontier for major economic growth.

“We are the world’s largest growers of cassava and yams, we are top five in the world in sorghum, millet; we are approaching self-sufficiency in paddy rice production. Our potential in technology and entertainment has been attracting huge attention.

“First is the market, at 174 million GSM phones, we are top 10 telephone users in the world, and we have the highest percentage of people who use internet on their phones in the world. We are also number two in mobile internet banking in the world; 17 million Nigerians are on Facebook.

“Microsoft has announced that it will establish a 100 million dollar African Develop Centre in Nigeria. We are already building our own drones. But not only are we building drones, we are also making spare parts for our aircraft. We are also manufacturing armoured personnel carriers and all sorts of different military platforms.

“All of these are things that Nigerians are doing in this country. Just last week, we saw, at the Army Day, sophisticated mine sweepers that are manufactured in this country. In a few short years, this country will be, by far, the greatest military force in Africa and certainly the most developed economy in Africa.

“All of these have been built on the sacrifices of many in blood and sweat, especially men and women of the armed forces. What will undermine our efforts now and in the future is disunity. All of those who are preaching narratives of divisions along ethnic and religious lines. We must resist all who try to destroy our present gains and in particular our future.

“The future of our country is bright; all we need to do is to keep focus not to allow any to preach any division amongst us. If we remain stable and united, everything that we desire for our great country will be ours.”

FELLOW NIGERIANS,WHAT DO YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN IF THE NORTHERNERS SHOULD TREAT THE IGBOS THE SAME WAY THEY ARE TREATING THE NORTHERNERS?
THE AGONY OF A PROUD NORTHERNER AND A HAUSA-FULANI!!!

I am one who has shown you love while you pay me back with so much hate, pains and disgust

I am one who has accommodated you for years in my land and you have refused to accommodate me in yours

I am that HAUSA-FULANI who has allowed you to establish yourself and your businesses in my land for years without stigmatising you

I am one whom you have refused to give a space to build a house nor a shop and treated like an outcast in your lands

I am that person who has been blamed for every crime committed even when most are not even committed by me

I am your step-sister/brother who has been quiet over the years that our father has been spending billions of naira in the name of amnesty just for peace to reign.

I am the one who kept quiet when our father spent more than $20 billion a year on subsidies for farm businesses. About 39 percent of the nation's 2.1 million farms receive subsidies, with the lion's share of the handouts going to the largest producers of corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and rice.

I am the one that is still quiet when our father plans to give N200bn intervention funds to boost the production of palm oil, cocoa, sesame seed, shea and cashew, through the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Now that our father tries to extend same gesture towards me and you complain and call me names?

You've been accusing me of killing your people, destroying your farm lands and kidnapping in your lands even when from the arrest so far,it has shown on the contrary and our father decided to provide solution to end the clashes between us by firstly coming up with the issue of ranches which you vehemently kicked against, he then came up with cattle colony yet, you said no,he talked about providing radio station to educate me and my family on the need for peaceful co-existence yet,you kicked against it.

I fear the Northerners might come up with their own rejections of the igbos in there land soon.

God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Patient Sarrki presents an exciting and fascinating insight in clinical studies of Ilorin Syndrome.

Like 99.9% of all recorded cases of Afonjatitis, Patient Sarrki also suffers from acute Buharism and chronic self hate and displays great displeasure for anything, group or individual that is not in tandem with his political views.

Sarrki, as a case study also presented delusions of being part of a group destined to usher in a revamped Sokoto Caliphate encompassing all of his native SW Nigeria under the exclusive administration of a Fulani prince with Sharia law.

Notable figures who suffer similar conditions of Ilorin Syndrome are Oba Akanbi of Iwo town in Osun who now wants his subjects to address him as an Emir and who now adorns traditional Islamic garb. Ishaq Akintola of MURIC also suffers f a forom Ilorin Syndrome.

There is no gainsaiying the fact that the two major issues rumbling across the breadth of Nigeria's social media are the move by F.G to establish Fulani settlements in many States of Nigeria and perhaps, the gross and scandalous allegation leveled against the well known senior pastor of COZA.

Having scrutinized the weight of the unfolding developments, I foresee these two issues raising a protracted dust of high magnitude if not well managed. Am visualising avalanche of rape allegations and counter allegations flowing profusely in sequence. Watch out, many celebrities and prominent Citizens are in for serious trouble. A trouble that will traverse the social media to series of litigations and unrelenting controversies in Nigeria.

On the other hand, the Ruga settlements issue is beginning to take a new dimension. Many States and individual stakeholders have raised ambivalent views as it regards this very issue The clandestine approach given to this project by F.G ab initio was quit telling and suspicious. Remember, series of denials that trailed this issue when it was first raised by OBJ; the former president.
Currently, we heard that the vice president who was named by the Fulani Group as the coordinator of the said project blatantly denied any involvement in the controversial Ruga settlement project.

I pray earnestly that the unfolding controversies will not go out of hand. May God diffuse my premonition.

Flimsy, weak, lean and irresponsible response.

I hope the leadership of CAN can rightly define the meaning of an association and by-laws governing a legal body in Nigeria.

It's most unfortunate to say Nigeria is almost buried.

I won't be surprise, those who make up the so called association,

A bling bling Pastor whose jet was used as a weapon carriage & a short man evil advocate who claimed the kidnapping rate in Nigeria is over exergerated

I hope and pray Mrs Timi gets a fair judgement.

You are too sentimental. For the matter fact, you are not the only one that loathes the rape issue of any human. CAN has stated the limit of their powers but you are still blowing hot as if you have any special grudge against them. At this moment, we should all be waiting for necessary clue and evidence to substantiate this gross allegation since the accused has already responded.

This is a historical fact. If there is any other like it let us know.
CultureIgbos Of Nigeria Invented The World Best Cultural Dance Of All Time by archangel1(op): 7:20pm On Jun 21, 2019
The Nkpokiti cultural dance group was instituted in 1959 at Umunze, Anambra State, Nigeria, by Chief Festus Okoli (AKA Ojimgba) of the blessed memory (1927-2009).

This unique cultural group has continued to mesmerize their audience with their outlandish and unique dance steps cum stunts. Suffice it to say that they were and are still a joy to watch in and out of season. They rightfully conquered their local adversaries in dance competitions with their incredible stunts, acrobatic and electrifying dance steps, which have remained their trademark.

When the states of the federation converged in Lagos in 1970, at Lagos to celebrate the end of the civil war, the Nkpokiti group, seized the opportunity to take their exploits to another level by clinching the first position and by extension, the 3,000 pounds and a gold gong set aside for the winners of the exhibition. They went on to repeat that feat for an umpteenth time in subsequent editions.

Thereafter, the state government (Anambra) adopted the dance group as the state's representatives in cultural dance competitions.

Owing to their incessant triumphs in national competitions, the Nigerian government decided to make them the countries ambassadors at world level. In the year 1978, courtesy of The Satin Sheen Company, in the time of Franca Afebua, Nkpokiti competed at Wembley, England, where they successfully beat off competitions from other cultural dance groups of the globe and returned to Nigeria with the ''world cup''.That feat established them as the as the greatest cultural dance group in the universe.

But for Australia, the Nkpokiti cultural dance group has been to all parts of the world. Notably, the back view of the 5 naira note, used in Nigeria is graced by a picture of the Nkpokiti dance group. The group is simply amazing! If you are yet to watch them perform, you are on a long thing!
