Rice importers seeing a rise in tariff decided to go through Benin.
Nowhere in your link was it reported that the FG banned rice and it cannot be imported through our ports

The situation on ground means Benin Republic �� should import/Produce Products their can consume in their country.
Not the case of them a country of less than 2.5 million importing rice for 200 million people.

Benin rep can even export their home grown rice into Nigeria but should not allow importers to use their ports and the goods find its way into Nigeria

You guys just don't want to understand anything, nothing was banned and you can still import rice through our ports and pay the normal tariffs to the government but you cannot smuggle it in after paying the tariffs to the Benin rep government and moreover the FG wants Nigeria to be self sufficient in rice production
