hisgrace090: And still those who retail them in cities will never reduce even kobo.
A yam seller once narrates to me how the use of hand set is making yam costly in most places, that what they do now is to bring in some lorries of yam to the market and sell as it pleases them as they will use phone to ask their agent not to bring inn anymore yam until they're through with the one they have at hand thereby creating artificial scarcity all for profits purpose. And you believed that story, do you mean the agents and farmers who supply the agents don't need money? All an agent would do is to supply another in that same market or another close to it, most of these produce are perishable and can't be left for long because one trader wants to create an artificial scarcity |

#GodAirpus We have seaports in Nigeria, since the Benin republic government decided to look the other way as our economy is being ruined, Nigeria needs to react |

sammyranking: why won't we love foreign products does the government provide company to produce a durable products for us to consume? See our government is confused they don't know what they are doing, why would you close border when we don't have other means of getting imported items or have a means of getting it locally? At least before you close and barn foreign products you must have a local products which is equal or up to task. You're the one confused dear, you can still import through our ports but no smuggling from the borders |

If this case is about getting "Dévé"(Development levy) from the company as practiced in so many Niger Delta communities then those in Anambra should desist from it, those communities from Delta state had learnt it from their cousins in the creeks, ndi Anambra don't do Dévé because they love development of their domain without any silly bribes. I won't say much anyway because the company hasn't issued any statement yet. |

Afamed: You still have not answered my question You should know that most are as unstable as the pair of balls down below, they flow with the tide. I know many who would start talking about Nigeria if Kanu or IPOB says nothing but immediately they hear false hope news from either of the two, 180 degrees change back to Biafra. Didn't you observe that for some days now, there are hardly any pro Biafra threads again |

LZAA: When the ussr broke up a few of it's elite monopolized state properties and it's economy and few still do today Infact i think one even bought chelsea what's that his name...roman something U hailing dangote as a capitalist is like saying roman and his ilk are saviours Competition opens up the market Monopoly destroys it Now think about it sim cards used to cost thousands now networks dash them out Imagine no just imagine if it was only mtn still running telecom in Nigeria Yeah i thought so Is Russian economy better or worse today compared to its pre-USSR era despite the "so called" monopolized economy? Competition opens the market and encourages competition, fact but you should understand that every country on earth has a particular section of their economy that they protect, even the US has been slamming EU, Mexico, Canada, China, Japan etc with higher tariffs on imported products from those countries, the same US with a highly developed economy for that matter. Your question should be why are other billionaires not emulating Dangote? |

ud4u: Our local rice now is 20,000 per bag, my friend what are portraying. Is this an achievement Some people now are finding more difficult to eat Some of those countries bombarding us with cheap rice and stuff started off like that. It's actually an an achievement because farmers would be encouraged to produce more, others not yet into rice will be encouraged to start and with time, prices starts coming down. You are complaining about 20k per bag when I'm hoping it gets to 50k so that more people would go into farming, more employment too. If you can't afford it there are several sources of carbohydrate, it is not a MUST you should eat rice |

jayson87: Thought I was the only one who knows this dangote's monopolistic means of making billions. Just watch when his refinery comes on stream, he will influence the government to stop importation of petroleum products, which is invariably good for us, but he is only doing that to his own advantage, that is why most products with the label dangote are sub-standard, from cement to sugar to floor, to noodles to spaghetti I believe we have several billionaires from every region in this country, why haven't they deemed it fit to go into the refinery business, why didn't you tell them? For most of you, all you do is critic whatever the government does, even if Dangote prevails on the government to stop importation of petroleum products, it is still to our advantage because billions used in the importation would be saved and used for other things. |

Those armed with AK47 and killing thousands of Nigerians every year deserve Ruga settlement
Yes, nobody can doubt the intelligence of you Nigerians, very smart people.
Below is what the people 'who are not terrorists' do in your great country Nigeria
But as an intelligent person, you already know that what is important is those who are intimidating with sticks and stones Forget those pictures you love posting because we've seen them all. Leave the people with Ak47 and go get your Biafra, you Atikulated earlier but you want your Biafra now, LEAVE Nigerians alone and go get it. Good enough you now understand the meaning of terrorism which includes intimidation |

Enter farm and go grow your rice if e pepper you, man shall not live by rice alone and if you insist then pay the price. As per price sef, I pray it gets to 50-70k per bag so that Nigerians would stop creating jobs for Asian farmers, we need those Jobs more. |
