Are you sure that the Ibibios from the arochukwu community enslaved the said Igbos? I am interested in the group who did the enslavement - that group must be quite tough and strong to be able to subdue and enslave the tough Igbo.

Errr, Arochukwu is a clan in modern day Abia.

i heard there were alot of ibo slaves in america, who soled them?

I hear tens of thousands of poor homeless Hausa/Fulani beggars get shipped to Enugu on a daily basis. Who chased them from their homes?
Or were they naturally unemployed and homeless like the 90 percent of northerners we've come to know?

This story reinforces my faith in my fearless Igbo tribe. Even in the face of overwhelming hardship and danger, we surrender to no-one, bow to no-one and maintain our soul. Cuz as an old Igbo saying goes "O nweghi onye nwe anyi", translated as "Nobody owns us", and that is the real way any upright member of the human race should reason: for all men were created equal, so we shall fight for our right to the death.
Too bad we can't say the same for the idlers and worthless cattle rearers up north, who, after realizing the hopeless direction of their hollow unproductive lives, take to pointless killings of innocent people (who are more important to the society than they could ever dream of), all in the name of a 'moon god' brought to them by a dirty, scruffy, pedophiliac, uncircumcized sand-nigggah, all the way from an aryan cesspit.

look at the response to your thread so far, one person posts that he is looking for a busty girl.

I've seen the cars in their stable, and I have to say, these Innoson guys are really good. It's a pity the Federal Government is so short-sighted as not to know the potentials these guys have. Instead of encouraging home-made products by patronizing them, they foolishly go for foreign products. Let Nigeria keep fooling herself. The rest of the progressive countries in Africa (SA, Botswana, Gabon, Mauritius) are advancing while we're still acting like cavemen.
If we no patronize our products, who else go do am for us? Now wey China be World's number 2, how do they think they got there? Abi dem no sabi say na these little little things great nations dey start from?
Oh well. Issorait.

Ajo Mmuo:

Interesting!!! Based on this aggregate revenue index, SE is the poorest region in Nigeria. On the one hand, that is understandable. Lots of small and medium scale private firms meaning less government. On the other hand, the region gets the least from FAAC with two oil producing states in the region-Imo and Abia. Oh well good politics is never good economics,

There are other indices that could be used to measure the economic well being of a region this is just one of them and the revelation is an eye opener for me,

Nope. Actually, that's far from it, because poverty and wealth are actually measured using the PPP - which considers the GDP and the population density. For example, Nigeria has a much higher GDP than Botswana ($377bn to $36bn), the standard of living in Botswana is higher with a PPP of $14,000 while Nigeria has a poor $2,500 - ultimately meaning Botswana is actually richer than Nigeria, because their little population makes wealth circulation much easier.
Now, coming down to Kano, even with their population over 6 times that of Imo, the number produced by this northern state is unfortunately nothing to write home about, ultimately signifying that the standard of living in Imo is quite possibly far better than Kano.

Also checking out the other northern states like Jigawa, Niger, you'd see there's no basis for comparison on this one.
The SE with its 5 states (as opposed to the 6 apiece in the cases of the NE and NW), still comes neck in neck against those states. Mehn, there's no basis for comparison. Any economist would tell you this.

Now, the question is, should these 'Google Nigerians' even be taken seriously?
Well, looks like it's an emphatic NO on this one. Ah well.

Politics / Re: America Is Working To Destroy Nigeria by Areosapien(f): 6:26am On Nov 08, 2011
Nigerians are definitely among the most useless delusional people still roaming the earth. Instead of addressing the rot in your home, you go around to blame it on some other factor. Well, if you don't know, this only goes to underscore your pathological laziness and irresponsible minds.
Tafa Balogun, Theodore Orji, Bode George, Oyinlola, Ibrahim Idris, James Ibori, Ikedi Ohakim, Adedibu, Obasanjo, Uduaghan, Mbadinuju, Babangida, Alams, Chris Uba, Sylva, Bankole, Alao-Akala, Fayose, etc are/were are Americans?
Maybe it was America that suggested the illegal adoption of Sharia in our secular system?
Typical. Keep blaming someone else for your mess, you hear. USA is busy looking for ways to buoy her economy from getting mercilessly owned by the fast-emerging superpower China, and you mooorons are on the internet making up useless conspiracy theories instead of looking for ways to eliminate the kleptomaniacs you foolishly elected as leaders.
Sometimes I shudder at the fact that under the same umbrella with you glorified illiterates.

@Moderators:

Edicolove's profile has been hacked by a spambot, and now he's spammming the whole place with his 'Naijapedia' posts!
Over the last 24 hours, I've come to notice a potentially dangerous trend amongst the profiles that have been here. I've noticed that even real profiles (with about 300 posts and above) spam these days. This could signal the possibility of the presence of a bug in the system. Profiles are getting hijacked!

www.nairaland.com/nigeria?action=profile;u=217020;sa=showPosts

From Edicolove's posts (to which I've provided a link above), you'd notice his last real post was on November 5. Today, he's spamming the boards, with his posts appearing at a 30(+/-10)second interval.
I think you should investigate this.
Politics / Re: Using Plastic Bottles To Solve The North's Housing Problem (Pictures) by Areosapien(f): 2:53am On Nov 07, 2011
Hahaaa! Too creative! These remind me of the many interlocking fences found in many middleclass South African houses. My fear, shaa, should one bottle fall off from the middle ehn? Oh boy, kasala go SCATTER-BURST! Still, as an Engineer (who still studied structure), I say the possibilities are quite minimal, as the longitudinally cohesive forces exerted by the other strategically placed bottles cancel out any chances of independent motion within any of the bottles in the lattice.

Oh, hurt? That is a fact and nothing but the truth. Useless malu's like you should focus on your dying region which is about to implode in a seismic blast of stupiidity, instead of coming to lay empty criticisms on people who are FAR more intellectually upright than you. You come here acting like you care about the wellbeing of the good people of Imo? Who do you think you're fooling, you idle, low-life, gutter-slurping pig? ndu_chucks:

The OP may be absolutely correct in his/her assertion that Rochas "sells Adapalm to himself". Indeed the Roche Group is a well known company with its tentacles in several countries in Africa including Uganda. The problem is, Roche Group is an Irish company that operates in many sectors from construction and property investment, hospitality and retail, health and fitness to motor sport and related activities. This company has never undertaken any agricultural project.

On its face, this deal is very suspicious. Rochas owes the people of Imo an explanation as to what is prudent about not selling Adapalm to a well establisted agricultural company. I smell a rat!
ndu_chucks:

@mcjive01, can't Rochas and his handlers find a company whose core competency is Agriculture rather than construction? I still smell a rat.

grin Maybe you smell the rat because it is right there in your rotten home, the North. If this isn't the lamest and most idiotic attempt at sounding like a political critic, then I don't know what. Who isn't aware of this Fulani Ndu-Chuks' agenda? Who isn't aware of the mooooron's earlier comments that Ohakim is the best solution for Imo? (And he made this dumb statement a day before the gubernatorial elections).
My dear Aboki, let me just inform you that we Imolites know how we roll; WE voted him; WE put him there; and the money belongs to US; so whatever outcome is OUR concern, and not yours. You should rather spend your time working on ways to pull the North from the rotten cesspit it has become (I hear a deputy governor died to one of the portholes he failed to fix), and stop worrying about the affairs of people who wouldn't give a shiiiit if you dropped and died.
You're welcome.

So, when did the Irish Roche Group become ROCHAS? The OP either started with the headline to attract some traffic to this thread, or because he's a total dunce.
