Buhari confiscated executive jets purchased by NNPC, NITEL, NEPA and NPA and commandeered them into the presidential fleet.
Prior to this the Presidential air fleet had only 3 aircrafts during the Sagari era.
Those jets were at the disposal of Buhari and Idiagbon only. Why do you people make up rubbish? |

You tend to lack the intellectual capacity to engage in arguments. That's why it is disgusting. Your Buhari is just average. We have had very highly intelligent military officers in this country. Buhari is never one of them. He is in no way a dunce. Nope. it will be most uncharitable to describe him as one. But he is not an intelligent officer. Not at the level of Abubakar Umar or even Lawan Gwadabe when it comes to intelligence. [/s] I've read enough of your garbage and it's getting more and more stale, shallow, ignorant and disgusting. |

I repeat, Buhari did not go to US War College because he was exceptional. Buhari went there because NA sent him there. And of course, even civillans go there. No big deal. He has never done any exceptional school. Chinua Achebe attended University of Ibadan. Many less than average students were also there. So, that these guys you mentioned were there does not in any way prove how exceptional Buhari was as a soldier. Buhari is on there website as a famous graduate because he was a Nigerian Head of State. Without that, he would not have been there as a famous graduate. Sani Abacha is also a famous graduate of Aldershot. [/s] I've read enough of your garbage and it's getting more and more stale, shallow, ignorant and disgusting. |

Sibabasibaba1: --------------- The best corps of Nigerian British and Nigerian soldiers in Buhari's time were trained in Sandhurst. When NA was NA, those trained in Sandhurst were the elites. They talked and walked with a unique swagger. Buhari was trained in Aldershot. Again, while I will not downplay the training he got at Aldershot, I do not see the reason for noise about going there because it was the second rate Nigerian soldiers that were sent there. On the US Army College, Buhari was sent there for leadership training which is the norm for people of his rank in the military--even if the person was the worst of olodo. It is not as if he was there because he was exceptional. he was there because he had to be there and Nigeria had to send him there. It is just like attending our own National Institute of Strategic Studies. Once you get to a certain rank in the civil service (I think Director) or Police (Commissioner of Police), you attend courses at NISS. It is done to prepare you for higher office. It doesn't mean you are exceptional, it only means you got what is due to you. Stop trying to convince me that Buhari graduating from the finest military institution where the finest military men in the world graduated from including US presidents and reputable generals like Powell, Patton, Norman Schwarzkopf, Ulysses Grant and Dwight Eisenhower graduated from was olodo school. ranker.com The pic below came from ranker.com and Buhari is 6th on the list of their famous US War College alumni with Colin Powell, Norman Schwarzkopf. Do you mind showing us similar olodo in your country recognized on the same website..? You need to keep your rubbish to yourself...

Sibabasibaba1: Jonathan's thesis is already in the public domain. Anybody desirous of seeing it should go to the department of zoology, UNIPORT. Only when the person goes there and does not see it can the person question the thesis.
When Jonathan left the academia, publishing articles online was not in vogue. Besides, you have to understand that his background in the academia emphasises teaching rather than research. if he started out as a university lecturer, I am sure he would have focused more on research. Having said that, someone posted sometime ago links to a couple of articles co-authored by Jonathan. The argument by the anti-Jonathans that day shifted to 'he was not the corresponding author' as if being a corresponding author is an indication that the person did the most work.
While I will not in any way downplay Buhari's military courses, they are no big deal about it. Every military officer attends those short service courses when they are due--unless they are being punished or victimised. Nigerian Army send their personnel to such courses always. They are no degree awarding institutions and Buhari never got any degree from those institutions. You don't need to be brilliant to be an army general, especially when merit and professionalism left the Nigerian Army in 1966. Any average person in terms of intellectual capacity can be an army major general. We have a system where attaining that position mostly comes via years of service and rarely via accomplishments.
But PhD in any shape or form, comes through a level of theoretically/intellectually rigorous research. Unfortunately for you and the illiterate PDP clown. The US Army war college is a prestigious military institution where they train the finest military men like Colin Powell, Norman Schwarzkopf, Ulysses Grant and Dwight Eisenhower and it is a big deal and honor to attend and graduate from. It's not where you send your rinky dinky army man for short training. It's more like a Masters graduate program for serious military men around the world. |

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national leadership, has reiterated the party`s commitment to issue-based campaign devoid of statements capable of inflaming passions and overheating the polity ahead of 2015 general elections.
It added that the 2015 general elections must therefore be based on performance, political ideology, manifestoes and agenda for national development not on propaganda and counter accusations that heat up the system

[s] Onyiridike: I am NOT a fan of GEJ. However, it baffles me tremendously that no party in Nigeria has come up with a better alternative. When APC come up with their usual chorus 'CHANGE!!!', I always ask them:
1. What sort of change and in what direction?
Falsehood is the greatest crime against humanity especially if such lies are meant for public consumption.
Obviously, some of our major challenges as a Nation-State are:
1. Unemployment
2. Epileptic power supply
3. Low standard education
4. Corruption
5. Insufficient motorable roads
6. Religion intolerance/nepotism/tribalism
So far, APC as the strongest opposition party is yet to come up with the modalities on how to tackle the above problems. The only thing Buhari is capable of doing (as promised) is 'fighting' corruption and again I ask, how?
I pray Buhari is NOT seeking this position so that he can have an opportunity to punish his perceived enemies?
Other important questions are:
1. If Buhari who earned huge salaries as a head of state between 1983-1985, military governor of N/E region, minister of petroleum resources, and chairman of PTDF now claims that he ONLY has one million naira in his account, is that not an indication that he is very poor in financial management? What happens to all the money he earns as a former head of state and as a rtd General? Do we need an expert in financial mismanagement as a Nigerian president in this 21st century?
2. Some GEJ critics complain of inadequate power supply. Did we have 24- hour power supply before him? If NOT, do you expect him to fix it in a space of 4 years when other presidents have failed to do so in a space of 50 years? GEJ is no Jesus Christ if you ask me.
3. What was the poverty rate in Nigeria during Buhari's regime? Could you compare it with what we have today?
4. If Buhari couldn't profer a lasting solution to Nigeria problems as president in 1985 when he is young, do you think he can do so now that he is 72 years and half of his brain cells are dead? Even Profs retire at the age of 70 years because they can no longer strain their brains to think and come up with new ideas.
5. If Buhari doesn't have a hidden agenda other than his love for Nigeria, why didn't he give other credible candidates in APC the opportunity to become president? Is Buhari the ONLY saint in APC? Must he be president again at all cost?
6. Is it NOT glaring that APC is just a means for the Northern muslims to re-claim power back since it is no longer possible in PDP?
7. Do you think Buhari would have remained in APC if Rochas or Atiku had emerged victorious in just concluded APC presidential primary election? If No, why?
Finally, Goodluck may not be the type of president we clamoured for but Buhari is NOT an alternative. I thought APC would have provided us a vibrant and better candidate who can brace up with the existing realities of this modern and complex world.
If they had done that, Nigerians will NOT need paint-him-black strategy of APC to vote GEJ (Not PDP) out in 2015. [/s] We vote people into office to take care of our problems, not to make excuses about the past or what past leaders do or didn't do. If I didn't do my job and gave my Oga the same excuse about other workers and what they do or didn't do, he'll sack me on the spot. It's called accountability. The opposition is not the problem, the current administration is the problem and the fact that you are sitting here making excuses for them instead of telling us what plans and solutions they have to better out lives means you and this incompetent administration are out of gas with nothing better to offer Nigerians. It's very unfortunate and insulting that with all the challenges facing Nigerians, all you have to sell is irrelevant argument about the APC's VP choice that's non of your business and also religious bigotry and division.. |
