Sermwell: You are stark mad!! So you will advice any kind of procession in a place like kaduna that is volatile at the moment? Do you people think through your anus or what? People like you are the reason why I still clamour for human sacrifice! Yeye dey smell!
1. Is it against the law to have peaceful procession in Nigeria?

2. Was there any ban on any kind of peaceful procession in Kaduna by the Nigerian government or the military?

I know you are not dumb and unintelligent enough to answer YES.

Btw, in case of any kind of security concern or emergency, sensible and responsible governments alerts and notifies the public and if possible ban public processions so since no such order was in place, it was a lawful and peaceful procession and they shouldn't be slaughtered like animals or subjected to extra judicial killings.

These are basics that we don't have to drill into your heads, but you people have been so bastardized and exposed to so much lawlessness and abuse that your own fundamental rights means nothing to you..

You think they kill other Muslims because they hate Islam and Muslims too? Terror and sadistic acts has nothing to do with religion. They don't even care who their bombs or bullet kill.

And how people dress is now against the laws of the federal republic of Nigeria? Don't you people have better things to worry about than how people dress?

You cannot get 60 bullets until you pay a bribe. How in the world can you fight someone who attacks you with thousands of bullets while you have only 30?” a frustrated Nigerian soldier told the Voice of America.

The Nigerian Army has become too, ‘domesticated’, ethnicised, politicised and undisciplined to function as one spartan fighting force in defence of our nation’s territorial integrity. Over the years, the military has majorly been used by governments in power as a force of repression and an army of occupation. Patriotism is lacking in the present force as it appears soldiers lack the morale to confront our common enemy. The military top brass has become too ‘civilianised’ and sloppy to the detriment of their primary goal of defending the nation.

The military may also not win this war because it has also failed to gain the trust of the locals and international community. For example, the United States is wary to fully assist the Nigerian military because of its blighted history of human rights violations through extrajudicial killings of civilians which the Nigerian government has consistently failed to investigate. According to a report in the Huffington Post, influential congressmen in the Foreign Affairs Committees of both Houses of Congress had introduced an amendment advocating for more aggressive US security and intelligence support for the Nigerian military in the field–both to help the #BringBackOurGirls and to better prevent Boko Haram from conducting similar abductions and raids in future. But these initiatives are hampered by stiff legal roadblocks preventing the Obama administration from sending more military assistance or equipment.

Unfortunately, our security forces are not exactly the most reliable in taking human rights obligations seriously during operations. Our military has been condemned by human rights organisations for the use of torture, extrajudicial killings, summary executions and wrongful arrests often during and after offensives against Boko Haram militants.

Only recently too, Lauren Blanchard, a Specialist at the African Affairs Congressional Research Service, told the US House Foreign Affairs Sub-committee on Africa that our military has not been yielding to American suggestions on the war against terror. Rather than continue to waste more money on corruption, President Jonathan must find the courage to demand accountability from the military. To win this war, the military must also put its house in order before terrorism consumes us all. A stitch in time saves nine.

Many in the Nigerian military are worse than Boko Haram...

Yet can despite the deep desire by many in the United States to do more for the victims, there are stiff legal roadblocks that may be preventing the Obama administration from sending more military assistance or equipment. Section 620M of the Foreign Assistance Act, commonly referred to as the "Leahy Law," prohibits the U.S. from providing any military assistance "to any unit of the security forces of a foreign country if the Secretary of State has credible information that such unit has committed a gross violation of human rights

Nigerian Army Abuse Is Making It Difficult to #BringBackOurGirls

Days later, the survivors' faces tensed at the memory of the grim evening: soldiers dousing thatched-roof homes with gasoline, setting them on fire and shooting residents when they tried to flee. As the village went up in smoke, one said, a soldier threw a child back into the flames.

Even by the scorched-earth standards of the Nigerian military's campaign against Islamist insurgents stalking the nation's north, what happened on the muddy shores of Lake Chad this month appears exceptional.

The village, Baga, found itself in the cross hairs of Nigerian soldiers enraged by the killing of one of their own, said survivors who fled here to the capital of Borno State, 100 miles south. Their home had paid a heavy price: as many as 200 civilians, maybe more, were killed during the military's rampage, according to refugees, senior relief workers, civilian officials and human rights organizations.

I never said protests are illegal in Nigeria neither am I against people protesting for a course which might be unfair. There are more important things affecting us directly to protest about than stupid videos on YouTube, some junkie calling Allah names, war in the middle-east.
For you to compare our military with those misguided Islamic retardeens bas.ta.rds only goes to show your level of ignorance because you lack the details of what transpired on that day cause you are shielded by religious sentiments... Well mark twian once said Never argue with ignorant people cause they will bring you to their level and beat you with experience
Again, initial claim was wrong and you are still wrong.

You said I call this protests highly misplaced and organised to incite violence against innocent people living around. With the high security tension in the region the shriek/scholar didn't see that BokoHaram misfit will use this protest as a cover to perpetrate attack against harmless civilians.

1. Tell me how what they do peacefully every year, what's not a criminal activity or against any law, what's protected under the Nigerian constitution all of a sudden was done to incite?

2. Boko Haram doesn't mean as a citizen of Nigeria you've lost your fundamental rights and the Nigerian military is free to slaughter you needlessly.

3. This sect rages against Boko Haram and fundamentalism more than you lazy jokers siting on NL or you mind telling us how a group of people known for their strong stance against violence and Boko Haram all of a sudden are inciting violence.

And I'll ignore your ignorant religious bigotry crap because this is you finally exposing the reason for your ignorant and bigoted comments...

How soldiers killed my three sons, 32 followers, by El-Zakzaky
Posted by: Yusuf Alli, Managing Editor Northern Operation, Abuja/Abdulgafar Alabelewe, Zaria in Featured, News 15 hours ago

• Presidency embarrassed by soldiers’ action

The three sons of the popular Zaria Islamic preacher, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who were shot to death by soldiers in Zaria, Kaduna State on Friday were undergraduates studying abroad, their father said yesterday.
A fourth son was shot in the leg and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

Thirty-two other persons, all of them followers of the Shiite leader, were also killed during the sect’s annual street procession in the city.
Another three followers were allegedly shot dead yesterday by soldiers as they were passing by in front of Hussainiya, headquarters of the movement.
The Presidency is distancing itself from the conduct of the brains behind the shooting incident while the Army claimed its men acted in self defence.
But it also said it was investigating the matter.

El-Zakzaky told reporters that 16 bodies of the victims were in the custody of the soldiers and the remaining nine at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital mortuary.

He named his sons killed as Mahmud of Al-Mustapha University, Beirut; Ahmad, a chemical engineering student at Shenyang University, China; and Hamid, an aeronautical engineering student at Xian University, China.

The fourth son, Ali was shot in the leg but is alive.
He said Mahmud was shot in the abdomen and started bleeding.
“We tried to rush him to the hospital but the soldiers blocked everywhere along the way. He bled to death,” he said.
He alleged that his two other sons and many of the followers were simply arrested by the soldiers and thereafter killed in cold blood.

He said: “When we demanded for the release of our people, the Army refused. They said they would take them to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) for medication not knowing that the two were killed.

“The soldiers also arrested some people including three of my sons. They were taken alive and later killed two of them. I want to assure you that these two children were cold bloodedly murdered because they were taken alive.”
He said the Police were assisting in locating arrested members of his sect at Basawa Barracks.

Zaria was relatively calm yesterday after the tension that engulfed the city in the aftermath of the killings.
El-Zakzaky’s followers were on their annual procession when soldiers reportedly opened fire on them.
Friday’s procession was also in solidarity with Palestinians following massive attack from Israel.

The Presidency is said to be distancing itself from the conduct of the soldiers who opened fire on the protesters.
Aso Rock, according to sources, is utterly embarrassed by the development and has ordered a probe by the security agencies into the incident during which supporters of the man considered as an influential voice against Boko Haram were killed.

The investigation is to identify the soldiers who pulled the trigger at the peaceful procession and the allegation.
President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria, Comrade Shehu Sani yesterday said President Goodluck Jonathan must take charge of the security situation in the country.

The Nation gathered yesterday that the Presidency saw the Zaria procession of El-Zakzaky followers as peaceful.
It holds the fiery Islamic preacher in high esteem in view of his stance against the activities and pronouncements of Boko Haram.

We are talking about a yearly peaceful procession so you mean they stage this every year to incite and if so, how many people died last year and years before from their so called yearly peaceful procession?

You people need to educate yourself about the issues before commenting because you come off very ignorant..

Peaceful procession in Nigeria is not a criminal activity at least so far according to the Nigerian constitution. These thoughtless and irresponsible actions and activities by the Nigerian military creates more problems. This is how people rise up against injustice just like BH emanated viciously after the extra judicial killing of their leader.

Killing Nigerians indiscriminately and callously all over the place means you are not any different from BH..

There is military presence in most of the major towns in Borno but residents said they often said they have not received instruction from their superiors when alerted to Boko Haram attacks in nearby communities. “We found this very awkward because it looks like an excuse not to act and that is why Boko Haram often attack people and communities for hours without resistance from any troops. It happened at Dille in Askira Uba at Chibok Local Government Area and lately in Damboa,” he stressed.
This is what the president and his military mean when they say they are on top of the situation.... It means they are doing nothing while BH runs in, kill, slaughter and burn for hours unchallenged..

You’ve just proven that you are just like them, a bigot who thinks, by virtue of being born in a wealthy country, somehow makes you more enlightened than others.

Goodluck Jonathan has absolutely nothing to do with the terrorism in the North-Eastern Region of Nigeria and to say or insinuate that he does, just shows how ignorant you are.

Religious fanaticism in Northern Nigeria goes back decades, even centuries; President Jonathan merely inherited the garbage along with the North-Eastern governors, which is where most of the attention should be focused, since it’s their job to alleviate poverty in their states, not Goodluck Jonathan.

When people were being kidnapped in Igboland, I didn’t see or read a single article blaming the President.

However, he is taking the criticism of the Nigerian presidency to a level of scorn. I am looking forward to the day he will comment on the positive side of any action of the government, as no doubt there are some. For one thing, it was extreme humility and commitment to the rescue and welfare of Chibok girls that made Jonathan rise to meet with parents and the escaped girls who were already at Abuja. As Gen T.Y. Danjuma RTD. said yesterday, and I quote a in paraphrase "when the president gave me the invitation three days ago, my first impression was to say no, but I remembered two things: one,the person speaking is the president of Nigeria;two, the issue in question is an emergency, and I said yes". This is how statesmen think, talk and act. My good friend does not see anything wrong in a group of Nigerians who visited the federal capital, walking out on the Nigerian president; turning down an invitation to see the president that they claim they desperately needed his attention. Don't forget these same escaped children, its said, to have repeatedly rebuffed the federal government emissaries; always preferring to see or talk to anybody after briefing and packaging their stories by Bornu government and elders.Civilized world don't play politics with terrorism. The APC spokesman should heed the pledge of General Mohammed Buhari rtd that we all remove any desire to score political point on the issues of our collective fight against terrorism; a typical of which is the abducted children. As soon as this is done,he will regain the admiration and respect we have for his opinions and choice of words.
Wrong Wrong Wrong...

The mean and callous man we call president refused to visit them where the tragedy occurred and also refused to meet with them in ABUJA, he agreed to meet with selected few because the visiting little 17 year old girl froM Pakistan begged the heartless man to and instead of rising up to the occasion in a genuine manner, the crooked man turned the whole thing over to his taxpayers funded image laundering contractors in America to stage manage the whole thing for photo ops with press coverage. ..but as usual, his evil scheme backfired and embarrassed him.

The meeting was all about his image and never about the girls and their parents.. The man is evil..
