What the op posted there is called a "monkey bridge" and it's common all over Bayelsa state because of the massive sand filling necessary between roads and peoples houses due to the swampy/marshy nature of the terrain. It's always constructed by private individuals along the route to their houses and so I don't know what the sad op has to gain by lying that it's Gej who constructed this particular one or any other one for that matter. The refinery is different, dangote may chose not to depend on Nigeria's oil and import oil to refine, he'll need the Lagos ports for that and if he wants to export his refined products, he also need the Lagos ports. Thats why its in Lagos and not because Lagos is peaceful.

So ideally, raw materials for refineries are more abundant in the SS, but he chose not to locate it there.

You seem to also forget that there are Ports in the SS which can be used for moving products in and our of the country. Why can't they be depended upon?

No. Lagos has always been the number one market in Nigeria even before the restiveness in the Niger Delta started. Lagos is not the most stable and peaceful state in the country.

And when I mean market I am not just saying commercial. I am also talking of labour and financial.

If that is the case, why didn't Dangote build his cement company on Lagos but chose Obajana?

Part of the reasons that make it the biggest market in W Africa is the relative peace and stability.

There Logic is that the refinery was sited in Lagos because Lagos is "peaceful", and the refinery would have been sited in the ND region if not for the activities of militants. Thats bullshit!

What other reason does Dangote have to choose Lagos over the SS/SE?
