SportsHistory On Repeat: How Osimhen Scored A Hat-trick To Save Nigeria In 2019 by argob44(op): 12:04pm On Oct 15, 2025
In 2019, Victor Osimhen received his first senior national team call-up and joined the Super Eagles camp. At that time, Nigeria’s U-23 team was on the verge of missing out on Olympic qualification.

Osimhen was released from the Super Eagles camp to help the U-23s in their crucial match against Libya — and he didn’t disappoint. He scored a hat-trick, single-handedly rescuing Nigeria and booking their spot at the Olympics.

Fast forward to yesterday, Osimhen once again answered the nation’s call, scoring another hat-trick to revive the Super Eagles’ hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Some players wear the jersey — but Osimhen bleeds for it. 💚🇳🇬

SportsAaron Wan-bissaka Debuts For DR Congo At 27 After England Snub by argob44(op): 10:50am On Sep 06, 2025
After years of being overlooked by England, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has finally found his international home — and it couldn’t have started better. The West Ham United right-back made his long-awaited debut for the Democratic Republic of Congo on Thursday, helping the Leopards to a convincing 4–1 victory over South Sudan in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Wan-Bissaka, 27, switched his international allegiance from England to DR Congo after FIFA approved his one-time change in August 2025. Born in London to Congolese parents, he had previously represented England at youth level but was consistently ignored by Gareth Southgate and his predecessors for the senior squad, despite being one of the Premier League’s most reliable defenders.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka Finally Gets International Breakthrough with DR Congo After England Snub

Thursday’s game marked the end of a long wait. Wearing DR Congo’s colours, Wan-Bissaka slotted seamlessly into Sébastien Desabre’s backline, showcasing his trademark tackling ability and composure on the ball. His debut added both quality and experience to a Leopards side determined to secure their first World Cup appearance since 1974.

For years, Wan-Bissaka’s absence from the England team sparked debate among fans and pundits, with many questioning why one of the league’s best one-on-one defenders was repeatedly overlooked. That door is now firmly closed — but DR Congo’s gain may prove England’s loss.

The Congolese Football Federation and fans welcomed him with open arms, with many hailing his decision as a boost to the team’s chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Wan-Bissaka joins a growing list of European-born players with African heritage who have chosen to represent their ancestral nations after being snubbed by their country of birth, strengthening Africa’s presence on the global stage.

As DR Congo celebrates a key qualifying win, Wan-Bissaka’s debut feels like the beginning of a new and exciting chapter — one that could finally see the Leopards roar on the world’s biggest stage.

owobokiri:
Not sure if this is a good trend.
In my view, this has seriously effected the Super Eagles pattern and style of play.
Our football has become more 'robotic' and rigid. The peculiar entertaining flair that used to characterise Nigerias football in the past has pratically disappeared.

Nigerias was voted the "Second Most Entertaining Team" at The USA 94 World Cup. That kind of recognition can never come the way of The Super Eagles these days, and I suspect that the "Kick and Follow" mentality of The English League is majorly responsible for 'watering down' this exciting part of the Super Eagles displays..

Who among the current Super Eagles squad would you love to watch in the Premier League?

SportsSuper Eagles: Cyriel Dessers Snubbed Again by argob44(op): 11:39am On Oct 06, 2024
Super Eagles Belgium-born striker Cyriel Dessers has once again been omitted from the Nigerian national team squad, despite a solid start to the season with Scottish club Rangers.

The Super Eagles forward, who has earned six caps and netted two goals for the national team, was left out of the latest squad released on Saturday by interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen. The team is set to face Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Dessers, who has been performing consistently for his club this season, continues to be overlooked in favour of other forwards, raising questions about selection criteria. Among the players invited for the forward positions are Bayern Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface, who despite having eight caps for the Super Eagles, has yet to score a goal for the national side.

Boniface’s inclusion, many argue, may be influenced by his form for his club side and the strength of the German Bundesliga compared to the Scottish Premier League, where Dessers plies his trade. While Boniface has enjoyed a strong season with Leverkusen, scoring four goals in six league games and one goal in two Champions League appearances, the decision to omit Dessers still baffles many, considering his performance at Rangers.

Super Eagles Invited Forwards vs Libya:

Samuel Chukwueze (AC Milan, Italy)

Chidera Ejuke (Sevilla FC, Spain)

Ademola Lookman (Atalanta FC, Italy)

Kelechi Iheanacho (Sevilla FC, Spain)

Victor Boniface (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany)

Moses Simon (FC Nantes, France)

Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest, England)

A closer look at the players’ performances this season raises questions about the exclusion of Dessers. The Rangers striker has scored three goals and provided one assist in six league appearances, while also contributing in the Europa League. By comparison, Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi and Sevilla’s Kelechi Iheanacho, both included in the squad, have yet to find the back of the net this season.

Season Stats Comparison:

Cyriel Dessers (Rangers)
League: 6 games, 3 goals, 1 assist
Europa League: 2 games, 0 goals, 0 assists

Taiwo Awoniyi (Nottingham Forest)
League: 4 games, 0 goals, 0 assists
EFL Cup: 1 game, 0 goals, 0 assists

Kelechi Iheanacho (Sevilla)
League: 5 games, 0 goals, 0 assists

Victor Boniface (Bayer Leverkusen)
League: 6 games, 4 goals, 1 assist
Champions League: 2 games, 1 goal, 0 assists

Despite Awoniyi and Iheanacho struggling for form, they retain their places in the squad, while Dessers, with more impressive statistics, remains sidelined. This selection should probably sparked debate among fans and analysts alike.

I argue that Dessers deserves a spot in the squad, especially given his recent performances at the club level. And I question whether local coaches, like Eguavoen, tend to favour familiar faces over players who are in better form but playing in less prominent leagues. But Taminu playing in the English League 1 was invited to the squad to face Libya.

For now, Dessers must wait for another opportunity to don the Super Eagles jersey, but his omission will continue to raise eyebrows, especially as Nigeria prepares for a crucial AFCON qualifying campaign.

If you’re here because you’ve encountered a rejected error while trying to load a recharge token onto your PHED prepaid meter, you’re not alone. Many individuals are facing this issue currently, and I am here to help you resolve it step by step. In this blog post, I will walk you through the process of fixing the error and getting your meter up and running in no time.

Step 1: Access the PHED Token Self-Service Portal

The first step in resolving the rejected error on your PHED prepaid meter is to access the PHED Token Self-Service Portal. To do this, follow these instructions:

Visit the PHED Token Self-Service Portal by going to https://tid.phed.com.ng/.

Once on the portal, you will be prompted to enter your meter number in the designated field.

After entering your meter number, click on the ‘Search’ option to generate a TID Activation Token for your meter.

A TID Activation Token will be generated specifically for your meter, which is an essential component in resolving the error.

Step 2: Enter the Activation Tokens

Now that you have your TID Activation Token, you can proceed with entering them to rectify the rejected error. Follow these steps carefully:

Begin by entering the first activation token you received into the appropriate field.

Once you’ve entered the first activation token, press the ‘Enter’ key or the relevant button.

Next, enter the second activation token that was generated for your meter.

Press the ‘Enter’ key or the relevant button again.

As you complete these steps, you should notice a ‘Accepted’ notification appearing on the screen. This signifies that your activation tokens have been successfully entered and validated by the system.

Step 3: Load Your Recharge Token

With the ‘accepted’ notification displayed on your screen, you can now proceed to load your recharge token onto your PHED prepaid meter. This step is straightforward, and here’s how to do it:

Enter your recharge token in the provided space, typically a long sequence of alphanumeric characters.

Confirm the token you’ve entered to ensure it matches the one you received.

Finally, press ‘Enter’ or the designated button to load the recharge token onto your meter.

Congratulations, you’ve successfully resolved the rejected error on your PHED prepaid meter! By following these steps, you can quickly get your meter up and running, ensuring you have access to electricity without any further interruptions.

Remember that PHED may update its procedures and portal, so it’s essential to double-check the official website or contact their customer service for the most up-to-date information and support. I hope this post has been helpful in getting your electricity supply back on track.

PoliticsMinister of Transportation Organises Thanksgiving in Rivers to Mock the Dead by argob44(op):
PRESS RELEASE BY A COALITION OF PAST AND PRESENT STUDENTS’ UNION LEADERS (NANS, NURSS & SUGs) ETC, IN RIVERS STATE, ON THE ABUJA-KADUNA TRAIN ATTACK.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

WE, the coalition of Past and Present Students’ Union Leaders from different wings of the Aluta struggle, cutting across the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), National Union of Rivers State Students (NURSS), Student Union Governments (SUGs) of both federal and state-owned tertiary institutions in Rivers State, on behalf of the teeming demographics of Students’ community across the state and Nigeria at large, make this press release today being Thursday 7th April 2022, on the Abuja-Kaduna train attack, which happened on Monday, 28th March 2022.

First of all, we pay solidarity to the victims and families of the March 28th incident, hereto we make this press release.

We have observed a minute silence for the eight (cool persons confirmed dead as a result of the attack on these innocent Nigerians whose only crime was patronizing a national transport system (train), which was built with taxpayers’ money. Foremost, is our dear Dr Chinelo Nwando who was a University of Port Harcourt-trained dental surgeon. We have also offered prayers for the over 168 persons declared missing by the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), even though undisputed news has it that over 970 persons boarded the train.

Saddened by this “avoidable” national disaster, we express strong disappointment in the incautious and unpatriotic disposition of the Minister of Transportation on this matter;

Recall that the Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi had admitted that he knew this train attack would happen. whilst he glaringly pushed the blame to the National Executive Council, facts emanated so far, calls for his investigation and sack! we refer the public therefore to the leaked memo from the National Executive Council and the memos from the Kaduna State Government, warning about the unsafe state of that route, especially on night journeys.

On these wise, we are forced to agree with Mr Femi Falana (SAN) that the Minister of Transportation is Viciously liable for the tragic incident.

As concerned Nigerians, we are even more deeply shocked that in the face of this disheartening national tragedy, the Minister, Rotimi Amaechi and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are organizing a political jamboree in Rivers State, where over a billion naira is being deployed, less than two weeks after the incident where lives are lost and hundreds of persons including students, still missing. This shows how inhumane the Minister truly is.

Our thoughts are provoked to probe the rationale behind having a jamboree of such magnitude at this time when the nation is in sorrow; Families of the deceased are still mourning, captives in the den of the bandits are uncertain of coming back alive, those who escaped kidnapping are still experiencing the trauma of their lives!

Is the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (CON) organizing such a heavily funded spree that:

1. Nigerians (including Students) were killed and many kidnapped on the train under his watch as the serving Minister of Transportation?

OR

2. His ‘Monkey business’ Security surveillance Contract has been finally approved on account of this avoidable calamity to which he is liable?

It would have been noble that the Minister displays statesmanship in the similitude to his fellow Party man, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who called off his annual birthday celebration in honour of all those who suffered the attack, even though it has been long fixed before this mishap.

As Past and Present Students’ Leaders, we thus consider it infamous that a man who rose to power via the Students’ Union Struggle, has badly represented what the Aluta struggle stands for (Injury to one is an injury to all).

We cannot justify the expediency of such a wasteful jamboree scheduled for Saturday 9th April, by the Minister of Transportation and the APC, Rather than seek ways to succour and alleviate the Families in grief.

It is widely publicized that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Adamu Abdullahi is a special guest for this inordinate celebration at this moment of our national grief. We the students’ Community are watching keenly, the disposition of the National Secretariat of the APC on this, knowing fully that members of the APC are also victims of that attack.

We are aware that Our Students across the State and South-South, are being sent text messages to be at the said APC event in Rivers State, on Saturday 9th April 2022, for a paltry amount of Two thousand Naira (#2,000) per student. We are further exasperated that our Constituency (the Students’ community) of particular concern is dragged into this sham.

We, therefore, admonish all Students under our watch, to dissociate themselves from such illicit gatherings as it offends our humanity and bond as unionists.

We insist that in good conscience and respect to the victims of our dear country on the train attack, that reason prevails, and steps retraced immediately.

PoliticsGroup In Rivers State Petitions IGP, NSA Over Action By NAOC And Felix Obuah by argob44(op):
A group in Rivers State has petitioned the Inspector General of Police over "action by the Nigerian AGIP Oil Company (NAOC) and Felix Obuah" which they said is likely to breach the peace in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.

A letter sent to the Inspector General of Police, at Louis Edet House, Maitama District, Abuja, obtained by ASB News read below:

Sir,

ACTION BY THE NIGERIAN AGIP OIL COMPANY (NAOC) AND MR. FELIX AMAECHI OBUAH LIKELY TO CAUSE INSECURITY, BREACH OF THE PEACE AND BREAKDOWN OF LAW AND ORDER IN OGBA/EGBEMA/NDONI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA (ONELGA) OF RIVERS STATE

We write on behalf of ourselves and other peace-loving indigenes of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area hereinafter referred to as “ONELGA” of Rivers State to draw your attention to evolving issues which are clearly capable of and are indeed tending towards replication of the politically motivated killings and violence which took place in the Local Government Area between 28ᵗʰ November 2014 and 1ˢt January 2017.

May we, in furtherance of this case, present you with the following background:

a. That NAOC had been engaged in Oil and Gas prospecting am producing activities in the Local Government Area since 1962.

b. That in the course of its industrial activities, local contractors particularly in the area of surveillance had been working for the company.

C. That most of the contractors were usually nominated by oil and gas wellheads Landlord Families.

d. That there had been sustained peaceful and cordial relationship between NAOC and its host communities in the Local Government Area for the past decades until one M r. Felix Amaechi Obuah started his contractual relationship with the company.

e. That in pursuit of his personal political and economic interests, Mr Felix Amaechi Obuah, in connivance with some key managerial staff of NAOC, decided to hijack and aggregate most of the contract jobs to himself through his companies. Prominent among these key managerial staff is one M r. Dennis Masi (former Security Manager).

f. That the Said action of Mr. Felix Amaechi Obuah and sums managerial the staff of NAOC led to a series of protests in Omoku Communities in particular and ONELGA in general.

g. That in order to maintain his grip on NAOC and intimidate his opponents, Mr. Felix Amaechi Obuah, raised a group of cultists and terrorists headed by the late Mr. Ejike Ejima Igwedibia (then known as DON WANI).

h. That in the bid to protect the political and economic interests of Mr. Felix Amaechi Obuah, the late DON WANI and his gang unleashed unprecedented terror by outright killings (most of his victims were beheaded) and destruction of properties.

That the murderous activities of the late DON WANI and his gang continued until January 2017 when, upon engaging the Nigerian Security Forces, he was finally eliminated.

0.3 PRESENT ACTIVITIES OF MR. FELIX AMAECHI OBUAH AND NAOC OF ONELGA

May we also report as follows:
a. That Mr. Felix Amaechi Obuah, in anticipation of contesting for a political office in 2023, has yet again entered into an unholy alliance with NAOC in order to accumulate the needed financial resources that will aid him to achieve his political objectives.

b. That presently the Nigerian Agip Oil Company in connivance with Mr Felix Amaechi Obuah made an unprecedented policy summersault by deciding to appoint TRACE GUARD SECURITY COMPANY which belongs to the said Mr. Felix Amaechi Obuah as its sole surveillance contractor thereby subjecting the rest of NAOC surveillance contractors to the whims and caprices of the said company.

C. That he is working in concert with the Security Manager of NAOC, Mr. Standley Umukoro.

d. That this anti-people policy change of NAOC is presently causing serious disenchantment amongst surveillance Contractors, Oil and Gas Wellheads Landlord Families and the youths of Ornoku communities in particular and ONELGA in general.

e. That in order to ensure sustenance of this policy of NAOC, Mr. Felix Amaechi Obuah is planning to use the same approach as he did between 2014 and 2017 in anticipation that this will once again subject his political and economic rivals to a state of fear and terror thereby enhancing his interests as we approach 2023.

f. That the only possible way to avert this looming catastrophe is for the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) to out rightly cancel this obnoxious contract award to TRACE GUARD SECURITY COMPANY and immediately revert to the old order where all the sacked former contractors in ONELGA should be engaged by NAOC.

We are therefore raising this alarm with a deep sense of patriotism in the hope that Political and Security Authorities will undertake a thorough investigation into this matter in order to save the people of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, the people of Rivers State and indeed the Nigerian Nation from the catastrophe that is bound to be repeated if the right decisions and actions are not immediately taken in this regard.

Sir, please note that we have taken all due diligence and care in order not to endanger our lives and those of our families in the cause of this struggle and do hope that you will understand and co-operate accordingly.

We remain yours faithfully,
For and on behalf of other patriotic indigenes of ONELGA:

PoliticsNo Keyamo: Self Immolation Is Not The Option For APC - Magnus Abe by argob44(op): 9:29pm On Jul 29, 2021
I was taken aback when my attention was drawn to a statement making the rounds on social media credited to my learned friend Festus Keyamo SAN, the Hon Minister of State for Labour, demanding that our party the All Progressives Congress must immediately halt all preparations for the forthcoming congresses and disband the Governor Mai Mala Buni - led National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).

Mr. Keyamo’s argument is premised on his interpretation of the judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in Jegede Vs Akeredolu.

Most members of the APC accepted the reality of the CECPC as a decision of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the APC with Mr President as leader of the party in attendance.

Party leaders who had reservations about the constitution of the CECPC were informed that the decision to establish the committee was reached only after extensive legal examination of the issues confronting the APC at that time by a body of eminent lawyers in leadership positions in the APC . Barrister Festus Keyamo I am given to understand, was one of those legal luminaries whose stand swayed the President in support of the CECPC option as the only means to save our party from imminent self-destruction. That is why I was taken aback by the quick and sudden volte face of Mr. Keyamo in the face Of Jegede vs Akeredolu.

There is a popular saying that sometimes “where you stand on an issue is determined by where you sit”.

The Buni- led caretaker committee in the determined effort to reposition the party and carry out its difficult assignment, has adjusted the seating arrangements in a lot of states and this may explain the stand that some party leaders will take on this issue. But it is important that we deal with facts and the law.

The Supreme Court ( according to keyamo’s write-up) held that Buni was not a party to the case and so his status was not determined in the case of Jegede Vs Akeredolu.

It is therefore shocking that any legal practitioner will on the basis of that judgement reach the conclusion that the Supreme Court has already decided that chairmanship of a committee constituted by the National Executive Committee of a political party constitutes paid employment or an executive position as stated in section 183 of the constitution.

Almost every convention committee or caretaker committee of every political party in this country that is privileged to have a governor in its fold has been chaired by a Governor, almost every primary that produced our governorship candidates has been chaired by a Governor.

A decision by the Supreme Court that chairmanship of a committee constituted by NEC for a particular purpose can constitute an executive position or paid employment as envisaged by the constitution of Nigeria must be a matter of evidence, and it will have grave consequences not only for the APC but the entire polity.

The convention planning committee is a committee of NEC. Buni was not appointed as executive chairman of the APC, he is our convention committee chairman but because the working committee of the party was dissolved by NEC the caretaker members are to take care of the affairs of the party on behalf of NEC until an executive chairman is elected by convention.

This was carefully spelt out in the NEC resolutions that gave birth to CECPC.

These documents and and others pertaining to Buni, and his lack of remuneration and activities will be evidence before any judicial proceedings to determine the status of the Buni-led caretaker committee.

Any member of the party who is emboldened by Barrister Keyamo’s interpretation of Jegede Vs Akeredolu to challenge the legality of the caretaker arrangement of our party on that basis may do so, but the litigant will of course bear the burden of proof, and the party should be ready to defend its own position based on the evidence.

With all due respect to my learned friend Festus Keyamo SAN, he was merely second guessing the Supreme Court when he gave the impression or suggested, based on his understanding and interpretation of the said judgement, that any legal challenge against Buni, must succeed, no matter the circumstances of the challenge, insisting that mere joining Governor Buni will be enough for any litigation against the APC to succeed.

This is simply incorrect.
No two cases are the same.
The Supreme Court itself wisely declined to make a pronouncement against Buni on the ground that he was not joined and not heard.

To now conclude that whatever he would say when heard would not amount to anything as judgement must be passed against him is to overlook the age-long admonition of the same Supreme Court itself in the 1987 case of Lawrence V Nnaife that “justice and fairness demand that the ratio of any case should not be pulled by the hair of the head and made Willy- nilly to apply where the surrounding circumstances are different".

Since the surrounding circumstances have not been made known to the Supreme Court for which it rightly declined to condemn Buni unheard, it's preposterous to second- guess the Supreme Court on that.

Let's tread carefully, cautiously. Instead of throwing away the baby with the bathwater, and causing a stampede, let's all support the Caretaker to the point that it births a proper executive council to prepare us for the future, especially the 2023 elections.

In the meantime we must consider our position carefully. We are less than two years away from the 2023 general elections, we have dissolved all our party structures across the states, we are less than a week away from the beginning of congresses to usher in our new working committee.

It has taken us almost a year to get to this point, there is no gurrantee that an attempt to start a new experiment at this point will not result in a political or legal quagmire that will lead to an implosion in the APC.

There is no perfect arrangement in politics.
The best course open to the APC is for our leaders to give full support and cooperation to the CECPC to conclude its assignment and usher in a new elected executive for the party.

Let me add for the record that there are issues in the party. Even the registration and revalidation exercise promised by the party in Rivers state has not been carried out and once again members of the APC in Rivers state are being denied forms for participation in our congresses, but problems within the party need to be dealt with.

To throw out the CECPC at this point may amount to self immolation from which we may not recover as a political party.

We must be steadfast and stay the course, there is nothing in the Supreme Court Judgement in Jegede Vs Akeredolu that implies that a Governor cannot serve as chairman of any committee in a political party of which he is a member.
The APC CECPC remains on firm ground.

PoliticsA Biography Of Duplicity: The Story Of Dae Steven Deegbara by argob44(op): 12:12am On Jul 22, 2021
I actually had no intention to join issues with Dae Stephen Deegbara over the gibberish he wrote yesterday on Facebook and shared on WhatsApp against Distinguished Senator Magnus Abe in the name of a phony, non-existent group (Ogoni Young Progressives Leaders Forum), but being from the same place with him, somehow, the name of OGONI is being dragged into the mud and by ethnic connection, perhaps, the mud is splattered on me. My plan is still not to join issues with Deegbara, though, but just to tell the world who he is. In so doing, I promise to be fact-based, and to maintain fidelity with truth. Any reader who spots any untruth in what I will write hereunder should come forward and controvert me. To everyone who is able to do that, I pledge to give the sum of N10,000 only, payable via a cheque which I have already brought out. This pledge should not be construed that I am Obi Cubana, no, far from it, it is only made to nail me to my unflattering commitment to truth. Here comes the biography of Stephen Deegbara.

The first “boss” that Steven had in politics was Mr Martins Bie, a very well behaved gentlemen from Gwara, his community in Khana LGA. In 2015, Steven was a staunch supporter of Dr. Dakuku Peterside, and was all over on Facebook dishing insults against Senator Abe. By 2017, effectively, Steven was not only vehemently opposed to Dr Peterside, he also unabashedly abused the hell out of him on same Facebook. If Steven will deny this, I will bring a plethora of screenshots as evidence of my assertion.

Within the same period, Steven moved away, in political mentorship at least, from Mr Martins Bie to Celestine Akpobari, whom he used to lie down to greet as “my father, my father”. Before the end of 2018, sadly, Steven had started both covert and overt insults and abuses on Comrade Celestine Akpobari openly on Facebook. Like a fowl scrapping for pasture only at the front, he had forgotten the food and the money and everything Celestine did for him previously. If Comr. Celestine Akpobari will come here to deny this, I have screenshots evidence to show.

Done with Comr. Celestine, in 2018, Steven now moved to Chief Austin Nwako of blessed memory (may God bless his soul). Steven would so genuflect before Chief Nwako that you would think that he would never leave him. In fact, Steven did promise that wherever Nwako would go, there he would be also. It happened that when Chief Nwako made arrangements to move to the PDP, Steven Deegbara was clearly in the picture and participated in all the preliminaries. However, once Steven saw that it was another young man that Chief Nwako put forward in his negotiations with the PDP, he broke political ties with the man and pulled out of the deal from which he had already drawn benefits.

After that, Steven said he was veering into activism and adopted Chief Gani U. Topba as his master. He started working with Chief Gani and his group "The Conscience of Ogoni". Chief Gani sheltered and provided provided for him to the best of his ability. Not long after, Steven Deegbara was everywhere abusing Gani and telling people how horrible a person Gani was. If Chief Gani would deny this, I have evidence to show.

Done with Chief Gani, Steven now joined HYPREP Media team headed by Baridam Ben, and started praising then HYPREP Coordinator, Dr Marvin Dekil as the best thing that happened to Ogoniland. HYPREP under Marvin was maintaining the social media team with N10,000 to each member. Somehow, always wanting to be the leader, Steven fell out with the Ben Baridam-led team, and before long, was screen grabbing discussions from the media platform and sending to Facebook, to discredit both the team and Dr Marvin Dekil. There was nothing too horrible that Steven did not write against Dr Marvin Dekil, the same man he had said was the best thing that happened to Ogoni. Baridam too was not spared, as Steven posted on Facebook that Baridam’s condition is such that he would be used for sacrifice.

Looking for a platform to fight Dr Marvin, Steven and some young men formed the “Ogoni Environment Watch”. Not long after, when the platform started bringing in money, issues of accountability scattered the group. Steven was accused of personalizing funds that came in for the group. There is currently a leadership tussle as to who owns the platform between Steven and Effort Ndeesor. If Marvin, Ben Baridam and Effort Ndeesor will come forward to deny this, I will tender evidence in my possession.

When Steven left the Abe political family, one of the persons he went to meet was Barr. Kingsley Wenenda Wali in his house. Once Engr. Dr Chukwudi Dimkpa appeared in the horizon of Steven and he felt that he could get more money from him, off he went. Once it “appeared” that there was an issue between Dimkpa and Wenenda months ago, I have an interception in my possession, where Stephen sent a material to an Ikwerre social media person on how Kingsley Wenenda Wali could be better insulted.

There was this other lady, Dame Ibifuro Thompson Tatua, to whom Steven was an acquaintance, Dae Steven Deegbara, in abusing the woman, said she was a loosed woman with HIV AIDS (he posted that on Facebook). Today, Steven is on Facebook almost ass-licking same woman. If Steven or Ibifuro will deny this, I will bring a screenshot in my possession as evidence.

Today, I have it on good authority that Engr. Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa and Chief Hon Victor Giadom are the enablers of Steven Deegbara in this round of madness he has embarked on. Let me kindly serve them notice that as they unleash and enable Steven to abuse and insult our leaders, we will also put a torchlight on their own matters on Facebook, henceforth.

But let me also tell them that the current position they are with Steven Deegbara, all the people I have mentioned above have been there. I wish to be remembered for my prophetic exactitude, not long from now, they will be at the receiving end of insults and insolence from same Steven Deegbara. This is his character and I want people to write this down.

As I write this, all the people Steven has abused before, he has gone back to bow down and pledge “loyalty” again. True pride eludes one who does not grasp the true meaning of shame.

Steven Deegbara is a restless young man, whose appetite for money is insatiable, and cursed with acute busybody, he is always on a highway to nowhere.

With this sincere, factual and irrefutable brief on the derailing youngman, you can best agree he is not doing anything new. The purported group only exist in the figment do his imagination, serving the purpose of his current pay masters. Consequently, it makes his fictions unworthy of any response.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the man called "Dae Steven Deegbara". You can visit his account on Facebook and discover for yourself how rascally and uncultured he has and continues to be.

Best of Regards!

RIVERS APC LEGAL TUSSLE: APPEAL COURT READY TO GIVE AMAECHI JUDGEMENT AND OVERRULE SUPREME COURT - By Chibuike Ephraim Briggs
Rotimi Amaechi

The leadership crisis in the All Progressives Congress APC Rivers state chapter and the consequent litigations trailing it has reached a crescendo. What started as an Open Letter by Rt. Hon. Igo Aguma the current Acting/Caretaker Committee Chairman of APC in Rivers state, published on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, on The Nation Newspaper, titled APC CRISIS IN RIVERS STATE: SAVE OUR SOULS!! seeking for an internal resolution of the deputations via intervention by the National Leadership of the Party,  later found vent in the Courtrooms.

This resulted in Judgments and Appeals up to the Supreme Court aside from the curious overnight movement of Appeal Case files from the Port Harcourt Division of the Court of Appeal to Abuja allegedly influenced by the Transportation Minister through the President of the Court of Appeal which concerns were a hotspot subject of Media War and Petitions to the National Judicial Council NJC.

The history of the crisis dates back to 2018 when the Transportation Minister undeniably and reportedly vowed to destroy the APC in Rivers state should Senator Magnus Abe run for the governorship seat haven warned him in the presence of his (Magnus Abe) wife never to dare it because he the Transportation Minister had a favourite candidate against the wishes of stakeholders and the Party Constitution.

This resulted in the crisis that characterised the Congresses and Primaries which believedly was censored by the Minister who denied all those who paid for forms from participating in the Ward, LGA etc Congresses occasioning the legal battles that led to the APC not being on the ballot during the 2019 general elections in Rivers state.

This is courtesy of the dictates and "impositionism" of the Minister who will never obey Court orders up to the Supreme Court in the celebrated locus classicus in Ibrahim Umar and Dele Moses cases respectively.

In a bid to rescue the Party from its death-end, Igo Aguma came to do the yeoman's job of seeking for cohesion and conciliation in line with the Party's Constitution since the National Leadership seemed to be avoiding anything "Amaechi" to avoid maybe offending him.

A list of Caretaker Committee members was surreptitiously and singlehandedly donated to the National leadership of the APC for inauguration as Caretaker for Rivers state chapter of the Party without consultation with stakeholders. This led to the Couse of Action cum litigation where Igo Aguma a statutory member of the party approached the Court as of right and prayed that he be declared the bonafide Caretaker Committee Chairman of APC Rivers state given that the Constitution of the APC does not allow for the dissolution of Statutory members of the party even if the tenure of the state working Committee elapses or the formation or the composition of a Caretaker Committee for the state chapter without first the inclusion of Statutory members of the party in line with the party constitution.

He also sought for the dissolution of the illegal and now-defunct Caretaker Committee led by Isaac Ogbobula who is not a statutory member of the party. The Court in its wisdom granted almost the prayers by Igo Aguma and declared Rt. Hon. Igo Aguma as Caretaker Committee Chairman of APC Rivers state and dissolved the Isaac Ogbobula led illegal structure loyal to Rotimi Amaechi with a further directive to work towards reconciliation.

The substantive judgment in Suit No: PHC/4355/2019 which is still in force is also a subject of Appeals up to the Supreme Court and the judgment was both declaratory and executory fully enforced and consummated.

In what is absolutely in Law dead on arrival, the Court of Appeal in Abuja led by His Lordship Justice Stephen Adah on 17th July  2020, ordered a Stay of Execution of the fully enforced judgement in what can be linked to looking for the child in the womb when it had already been aborted.

The Court was verily put on notice that the matter before it was now a subject of a pending appeal before the Supreme Court following some rulings it gave. The desperation exhibited by the Appeal Panel was so much that even the laymen in the Courtroom were murmuring and raising eyebrows over the strange order.

First is that upon being put on notice, the Appeal Court immediately announced that it was disqualified from the matter,  pending the determination by the Supreme Court. Yet, it still went on after doing the needful to make a pronouncement of a purported Stay of Execution on the matter before the Supreme Court knowing that firstly it hadost and so lacked powers to make further orders on the matter for want of jurisdiction which it ab initio admitted as the matter was now before the Supreme Court.

Secondly,  the stay was dead on arrival and of no consequence because the judgement which was both declaratory and executory had been fully enforced and the Court knows better that in Law, a Declaratory and Executory judgement already executed cannot be Stayed. Little wonder the Organisation that petitioned the NJC and the President of the Court of Appeal alleged that the panel was already compromised to favour a political end at all costs.

Obviously,  this misdeed and misconduct by the panel led by Justice Stephen Adah who openly in Court showed manifest interest must have compelled the Judicial Authorities to step the lead Justice of the Panel Aside as he no longer joins or leads the panel.

Please See:

1. Appeal No: SC/CV/377/2020 between Rt. Hon.  Igo Aguma v. Mr. Isaac Ogbobula & 2 Ors.

2. Appeal No: SC/CV/489/2020 between Rt. Hon. Igo Aguma v. Mr. Isaac Ogbobula & 2 Ors.

3. Appeal No: CA/PH/226/2020 between Victor Giadom V. Dele Moses and 5 Ors.

4. Appeal No: CA/PH/215/2020 between All Progressives Congress V. Rt. Hon. Igo Aguma & 2 Ors

5. Appeal No: CA/PH/190/2020 between
Isaac Ogbobula v. Igo Aguma APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

What then is the deal? During a hearing of the matter sometimes in October 2020, the Appeal Court emphasised that it did not restrain Rt. Hon. Igo Aguma from functioning as Caretaker Committee Chairman of APC Rivers state.

However, the Supreme Court in Ibrahim Umar's case made it abundantly clear in its judgement that those who paid for forms to contest for Congresses in River State APC in 2019 can not be excluded and that it was "self immolation" for the party to disobey judgement or seek to exclude them at all. In Dele Moses,  the  Supreme Court reinforced its earlier position that only those who paid for forms will contest at the APC congresses in Rivers State.

For the records, these cases are Pre-Election cases and the Amaechi interest does not want to allow this judicial reality because it does not favour his dictates and ultimate desires. Hence this magic must be performed at all costs through the Court of Appeal.

Surprisingly, the Court of Appeal may have resolved to overrule and set aside the judgement of the Supreme Court to favour the Transportation Minister using another wand. In APC v. Igo Aguma, Isaac Ogbobula v. Igo Aguma respectively all touching on the judgement of the Court which is a subject of Appeal before the Supreme Court,  the Appeal Court has undermined, disregarded jettisoned the needful to stay proceedings on these subjects which hearing at the Supreme Court is slated for January 16, 2020. The Court of Appeal is still going ahead to preempt as well as circumvent curiously the Supreme Court in a bid to seat on Appeal over the Supreme Court and give judgement on December 29, 2020, so hurriedly, to Rotimi Amaechi whose bidding they appear to be doing.

What could if at all be the interest of the learned Justices or the Court of Appeal or the judiciary in not adjudicating within the Law and known rules of Court in this or these matters of political concerns? At what point did the Courts begin to pretend about following precedents in allowing superior Courts to determine appeals before giving judgement on substantive suits if not for purposes of compromising the cases?

This concern is legitimate because it brings fundamental questions on the sanctity of the Bench albeit substantially with a measure of vested interest with the boldness that NOTHING WILL HAPPEN!

PoliticsJustice Omereji’s Judgement: Tony Okocha Reacts To Eze Chukwuemeka’s Claim by argob44(op): 8:26am On Jul 08, 2020
Former Chief of Staff to Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Tony Okocha has reacted to a statement made by Eze Chukwuemeka claiming that Chief Tony had predicted Court’s judgement of the contempt charges against those who purportedly suspended Igochukwu Aguma as the acting chairman of the Rivers APC.

Igo Aguma was declared recently as the acting chairman of the party in the state by Justice George Omereji.

Eze claimed that Chief Tony Okocha’s prediction about the high court judgement has exposed all the “courts in Rivers state as compromised”. Find Tony Okocha’s reaction, below;

Re: YOUR PREDICTION OF JUSTICE OMEREJI’S JUDGEMENT HAS EXPOSED RIVERS COURTS AS COMPROMISED, EZE TELLS OKOCHA

_A Perspicacious Riposte To Eze Chukwuemeka
By Hon. Chief Tony Okocha.
July 7, 2020.

I read your jejune spew on the above subject with rapt attention. I vacillated between two opinions: whether or not to let it slide but was swayed by the weight in offering a brief response, especially as I needed to put on record, how thoroughly I beat myself for overrating you hitherto.

I am not surprised that you came for my jugular after you have exhausted all in your arsenal, denigrating Distinguished Senator Magnus Abe with unprintable comments, and turning to demonize Rt. Honourable Igo Aguma, the Court declared Chairman of CTC, APC RIVERS, for approaching the Court to redress an infraction and got judgment to his side.

Why do you a hero-worship another who through the court, summoned the temerity to convene a NEC meeting of the APC, which Mr. President recognised and attended?.

Are you saying that Igo AGUMA’s case is the first piercing Court declarations known to you? Why all these monotonous cacophonies of negative influences around a leader?

It beats me hollow to note that of your long sojourn in journalism and stint in the use of words, you don’t know what a Rhetorical Question is, and how and what it is used for.

Reading through the write-up that elicited your non-sequitious conclusion, particularly the area you copiously quoted:

“Imagine that on the 7th of July, 2020,(few days ahead), the high court in RIVERS STATE, in defence of its orders, makes pronouncements that may seem unpalatable? Are we ignorant of that fact? Or do we approach it with our usual indifferent embroidery? I find no correlation with the prediction of judgement and the likelihood of a compromise of the judiciary in Rivers State,” as you hurriedly quipped.

Should I educate you on the use of rhetoric questions in a line of literature? Well take this for free:

A Rhetorical Question is a question that does not expect an answer but “triggers an internal response for the reader such as an empathy”. If you substitute the phrase ‘imagine that’ as used, with ‘How would you feel’? Would you find a different meaning?

Your problem was also that of reading with a jaundiced mind. Otherwise, you would have been able to deduce the central theme of that narrative. Take for free again; that the central idea was to demolish or perish the degenerate and leadership-indicting offering of Dr. Sokonte Davies, to the fact that the APC RIVERS under the watch of Your master, the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (who you now claim that as his Chief of Staff, I rebel against), was MORIBUND.

I Swear that if you understood this theme, your gauntlet would have been against Dr. Sokonte and not Tony Okocha. Another flip flop.

For your information, a friend of mine felt it was a complete waste of time to respond to a man whose only CV as flaunted by him, is Former Publicity Secretary of a defunct pressure group dubbed nPDP.

He wondered if it was worth the trouble dignifying a hireling who has no value-added to what he craves.

What else is your reason for those oblique claptraps and obsessions on Rivers APC and not that of Ebonyi State? Don’t you think that writing either as a Spokesperson to a principal or a public affairs analyst or political commentator, would have made more meanings to your fans and cheerleaders?

In which case, you would be dispassionate in critical analysis of issues instead of those asinine and biasedly skewed tripes that you relish in.

However, I wondered why you chose now to swing your attack-dog posturing and ignoble enterprise to me.

Why have you been mute on me in all your shibboleths all this while? I thought that you owe me the courtesy of mention for commendations for the roles I played from the periods of the travails and ordeals of the Amaechi’s Government in Rivers State, where I loyally served as Chief of Staff.

If for nothing else, that as Governor Amaechi’s guest in one of our facilities in Rivers State Government House, I was nice to you in all ramifications all through your long stay.

Did I not play any role leading to the successes of that administration as known to you?. From the CP Mbu days to the nPDP, to the crisis in the Rivers State Assembly among many.

Assuming you chose to turn a blind eye to these facts, couldn’t you have inquired from our mutual friend Obiaruko Ndukwe who was pro-bono Editor-in-Chief of a magazine Called (THE CHANGE AGENT), whose major concern was to project our Principal before Nigerians, wherein, you sparsely made contributions, who the Publisher and sponsor was.

I am sure that you remember that that quality material, was printed in quantities upward of 3000 copies every week and distributed in major Cities and Towns in Nigeria, free-of-charge.

Your prediction of Justice Omereji's judgement has exposed ... Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze tells Tony Okocha

I recall flipping through one of those unwarranted/unnecessary write-ups where you announced your 60 years or so, sojourn on earth and over two decades, invested in the journalism profession.

I thought that you would have been age enough to quit your accustomed crisis merchandising. Why sink deeper even at this late afternoon? What was my offense really?. That I rejected the use of the extreme word ‘MORIBUND’ to refer to a Party led by Amaechi and drew the attention of my Kinsmen to the possible dangers associated with disobedience to Court judgements?

How did you forget that it was for crass/ flagrant disobedience to Court judgements that legally repelled the ambulant Rivers APC with a large clientele, from featuring Candidates for 2019 Elections?.

I ask, how have you used your swiveling lyrics to support the need for APC RIVERS to produce a single Councillor in the 319 wards in Rivers State?. Instead, you consider it germane to sow seeds of discord and fan the embers of mischief among folks.

Enough of this superfluous grandstanding laced with wiles. Must you write to malign to impress for a meal ticket?

You have known me back in the days as Chief of Staff. Sure you remember that I am not given to inanities and flip flops?. Please note that nothing has changed from my avowed disposition to relevancies.

What do you call rebellion Please? Is difference in political world-view the same as rebellion? Isn’t politics in our clime, played according to the mantra of “No Permanent Friend, No Permanent Enemy but Permanent interest”?

Kindly note that there was nothing, absolutely nothing in that rhetorical question that I posited that suggested a compromise of the Judiciary in Rivers State. As you know, I am neither the plaintiff nor the defendant in that matter. I however wished that you were the one being proceeded with as a contemnor, in which case, if proven, your integrity/dignity would be further dented.

I thought that you would have in your discussion on disrespect to the Order of Mr. President for all matters in courts to be discontinued, dropped a line to show aversion why the Appeal against Igo AGUMA’s high court judgement subsists in the Appeal Court in Abuja.

Shouldn’t you have condemned the smuggling of the case file from Court of Appeal Port Harcourt division, to Abuja division, when no case of bias against the justices of the higher bench here in Port Harcourt was raised? Or to your knowledge, did their Lordships here in Port Harcourt recuse themselves from the case?

Was there a threat to the safety and protection of their Lordships in the Port Harcourt division?

How about the two appeals aggressively pursued by Chief Victor Giadom (a recent beneficiary of Court order and convener and attendee of the NEC Meeting wherein the President issued the warning)?

Let me enjoin you to refrain from seeming idiotic acts that may portend you uniquely moronic.

Finally sir, Please strive to become a registered voter in Rivers State so that your moral imperative to a critique of the system will be activated. (This is not being a Statist but commonsense).

Note that your attempt to pitch me against your readers, Judiciary and my benefactor, was wishy-washy. It failed spectacularly.

We need suggestions for Peace and reconciliation in APC RIVERS. The hatchet men should take the back seat.
