Social network giant, Facebook has added a new feature which allows users to raise funds on the platform.

Nigeria noticed this today while trying to write a Facebook post. According to Facebook, "this makes it easier for you and your community to raise money on Facebook."


"We've built tools to help you collect donations and enable supporters to fundraise for your nonprofit." They wrote on their community page.

Nigerians have been warned to stop making mockery of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “lest they pay a heavy price”.

A news service from the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK) issued the warning on its Twitter handle @DPRK_News.

It said: “Impudent peoples of Nigeria are warned against mockery of Supreme Leader Kim Jong-Un, lest they pay a heavy price.”

It is not clear if the Twitter handle is official but it does not bear the verification icon of the social media platform.

Below is a conversation between a suspected fraudster, who goes by the name Segun Dare on Facebook, with his target, a fast rising artist, Emmanuel Limjay.

In the Facebook messenger chat the artist sent to Nigeria, revealed a new format fraudsters use in getting money from their targets. Segun Dare Olagbiyan told him he is the next target that him and his gang have been paid to murder him.

According to Dare, his boss has been paid a sum of money to assassinate Limjay but he could help him if he can pay half of the money the person paid them to kill him.

According to Limjay, he knew it was one of those fraudsters and decided to play along to see where it would lead to. Read their conversation below:

Manchester United have re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a one-year contract.

The 35-year-old former Sweden striker made 46 appearances and scored 28 goals for United last season.

Ibrahimovic was released by the club in June after his season was ended prematurely by a knee injury, but he is expected to be fit again in December.

"After his contribution last season he deserves our trust and we will be patient waiting for him to return," said manager Jose Mourinho.

Ibrahimovic, who initially joined the Red Devils on free transfer in July 2016, had been recuperating at United's training ground after knee surgery.

Mourinho added:

"I have no doubt that he will be important in the second part of the season."

Two Los Angeles-based Major League Soccer clubs, LA Galaxy and Los Angeles FC, were both interested in signing the striker this summer.

He added:
"I cannot wait to get back out on that Old Trafford pitch, but I also know that I have to take my time to make sure that I am ready.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday urged Christians to be prepared for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ because the end of the world is near.

Speaking during the 2017 Camp Meeting Concert by Apostolic Faith Church Choir and Orchestral at the Camp Ground in Igbesa, Ogun State, Obasanjo said he would like to make heaven so as to sing with the angels.

“You have to be fully prepared for the second coming of our Lord, there is no compromise.

“I have a friend who will always say that when we get to heaven that we will be exhausted praising God and it will be like a prison and will be very boring.

“But what I have seen this afternoon by the choir, I will want to go to heaven and join the hosts to sing.

“If this is an example of what praising God in heaven will be, then I want to be part of it. If what I have seen here is an indication of how heaven will be, I will like to go to heaven.

“Jesus Christ came to the world to show us the way to salvation and eternal life. We have a good heritage and we have everything to be proud of,” he said.

Obasanjo said that God could not fix Nigeria except Nigerians invite God into their lives collectively and individually.

“We have a lot of things wrong with this country, if all Nigerians are sincere.

“Nigeria can be fixed by God but we have to invite Him into our lives. What we have to do about this country is in our hands.

“Gods grace abounds when we do not abuse it,” he said.
