Take a(Izuchukwu or New Tarzan) bus from Lagos to Kano, then take another bus( Salisu Adamu transport) from Kano to Agadez, Niger Republic, then take the third night journey bus to Fezzan, Southern Libya.
From Fezzan, ask for Nigerians quarters, tell them you want to get to Tripoli.
The Arab traffickers will link you up on how to join a company of migrants that will cross the Mediterranean Sea to Italy.

Thank me later.

OOU and they don't offer mls pharmacy is like medicine to is too competitive so is microbiology a no??
I thought they offer pharmacy.
Anyways,MCB is still good but there is no clear cut career path.
You can accept MCB and sit fr JAMB again or you reject it and try again next year.

Surprisingly, lot of prospective students had to choose between nursing and Mls before settling for Mls at most cases. Why is that?
Choice.
Most times too,Nurses don't usually tell Aspiring students what the Nursing profession is all about. What to expect in school and after school.what is obtainable with B.NSc/RN certificate.
But MLS has it all over this platform.

Haaa, did I said otherwisehuh So wen is prof agbonlahor coming to teach me med student a medical clinical approach as regards laboratory practice between me and my patient for proper care??

Prof agbo has equipment as a full based lab man, I expect him to have a full equipment, so in case of ELISA which is uncommon in institutions and some teaching hospital, people make use of it for their research, thus , base on u now, he has more clinical knowledge than my physician.. Na true cheesy cheesy
First off, which is not actually a big deal anyways, learn to address people by their proper title.it doesn't strip you off your manhood grin
Bro if they should privatize the health sector,i am sure that doctors can never be Health Minister or whatever name they would comeup with.Except they are qualified which would not be because they have MBBS..Every professional would head their juniors.Nobody will head the other with impunity.
Tell me the input of a Pathologist in normal laboratory practice. Of course you will give the excuse of they can run some advance test bla bla bla.
Oh you think because you did/still doing pathology that is where it ends grin
Don't let your Superiors decieve you.
Keep shouting privatization.

Your unnecessary hatred for other healthcare professionals would not let you reason properly now until you foolishly support privatization of hospitals in this country. That is when you'll realize that this is Nigeria!

Imagine a scenario where a whole hospital has only a qualified physician (mostly likely a general practitioner) in it's employ with many other healthcare professionals so as to save cost. That is what would start happening in the event that hospitals are privatized in this country!

In fact, many of you would have to go abroad for your residency training because no private manager would be willing to commit money into your training!
Leave the guy i just don't want to reply him.
When he hears people calling for privatization even someone in 4th yr would be shouting privatization like he knows the effect.

you are not a nurse so please argue with sense.

The question was, why should/why are male nurses preferred to female nurses. That's my answer to that.
Secondly, male nurses can handle more stress than the females.
Alright.

Those laboratory guys are real lunatics. They should scrap that course at undergraduate level, turn into a post-graduate certificate.

So that these crazy people making noise would have to study a science degree like microbiology, biochemistry etc before going to the labs. That way, they would have to get busy and stop shouting up and down cool
MLS has come to stay, there is Nothing you can do about it.
You think MLS are not buzy then you are a joker.

bro. Public and private hospitals cannot afford too many B.sc nursing rather they go for RN or learned nurses who start very low and are as good or even better than the RN/B.sc nursing.

Note as a b.sc nurse, you have RN (registered nurse qualified to practise) and normal b.sc(which means you are fit to teach.)

B.sc nursing starting salary in public hospitals is 120k(least) compared to learned nurse and RN of 10k or 20k and 40-60k respectively in NIGERIA not abroad.

And if you are a male Nurse, ask them any where, you are regarded as a doctor. Especially here Nigeria and get more job offers in EU or Us than the female.
Your First Line of thought is wrong.
RN are not better than B.NSc. RN might get job easily due to Low bargaining power but when it comes to Nursing practice B.NSc trumps RN anytime.

[s]And if you are a male Nurse, ask them any where, you are regarded as a doctor[/s]

Is there any Advantage attached to it?
This is one reason why Doctors feel Everyother Health Professional is a Doctor Reject.

Probably you don't get it do you? The ratio of female to male nurses is very low hence the demand. Simple economics concept should teach you this. You wouldn't understand because you program your mind to one area

Any Higher Institution wants qualified personnels. What Higher Institution needs is a Nurse with B.NSc,MSc and PhD irrespective of Gender.

Nurses are more needed globally and Nigeria isn't an exception. With your degree in nurse the above benefits are at your beck and call. Do you know that many Nigerian universities are in need of male nurses as lecturers?
Why?

They might be in need of Nurses not necessarily a Male Nurse.
I haven't not seen that anywhere

If you're choosing microbiology, prepare your mind on time to return to school after first degree to pursue your MSc and PhD. Else, reject the admission, write JAMB again and choose a course with a clear career path.

As far as I'm concerned, it is better to learn a trade or skilled work instead of studying microbiology, biochemistry and the likes and stopping only at BSc level. Those guys end up constituting a nuisance to other people's professions by trying to do works they were never trained for eg fake pharmaceutical Reps with zero knowledge of drugs being USED by fake pharmaceutical companies. I know because I was there!

When we want to study any course, different things come to our Mind which serve as reasons to pursue a particular course.
OP, What is your aim?
Is it to make Money,to be independent,To save Life, you want to travel out e.t.c.
Its all up to you.

Nursing is a good profession.Well recognized,They start in CONHESS 8,You can be independent (Depending on what you mean by
independence),The profession is also promising outside.Since you are a Guy, Nursing won't be that better option in Nigeria.

MLS is a good profession.well organized, recognized, Start from CONHESS 9,,You can be independent, Promising outside the Country.
The profession is a good profession for a Guy.

Just look well, research about both profession and Make your choice.
All the best.

Hello everyone. Is it possible to carry out the student Indexing at any MLSC zonal centres. I didn't carry out the indexing with my set as I postponed my admission for 2 years and the Indexing for my set was carried out while I was away. I also hear it is now being done online. How do I go about this?
I think you should contact your department.they should tell you what step to take.

Just research about both courses.i am tempted to tell you to choose MLS but just make your choice.
About gaining admission,i think those in UNIBEN would help you with that.

Why are we like this

So you think science laboratory technology will be created to function as medical laboratory science?

I know there's joblessness in the country
But I am wondering how someone will go to school for 4yrs and curriculum don't have clinical laboratory training but after school
The person wants to work in a clinical laboratory to test patient samples for disease when their training didn't involve testing human samples for medical diagnostic purposes

A profession has it names spelt out as science laboratory technology
And we all know what is science laboratory
And medical laboratory or Biomedical lab
Please remember a medical laboratory scientist is not just a tester, he is a medical practitioner who is a specialist in Biomedical Sciences with special license to work as a medical diagnostician

But a science lab tech is a professional who training is technically based to improve science laboratory research and processes

And please note
Medical science is not the same as the science you saw in science laboratory technology

It is physical science involving physics, chemistry and biology

Medical science means human science
Please you know how
You are trained, in a science department

A medical laboratory scientist is trained in medical school

Please let's stop this unnecessary issues
The samples you saw in health science don't means human samples
It's food, water etc
Not human samples

Only medical professionals are allowed to work with human samples

I am begging us
Let's develop our country
Stop quackery

Build our individual professions to represent it purpose not admiring another to let our gullibility encourage quackery

It's one of the reasons Nigeria is backward
Will they Listen.

Well, when that time comes you will know if it is one policy that would help you or the Law that established your profession.
