philip0906: Complete bullocks!
You people think it is everybody in Nigeria that is poor. Some of us can pay for quality healthcare, some of us have comprehensive healthcare packages from our work place...but you know what, we'll pass on that.
As I said if you aren't paying for the absconded patients then you've got no complaints to make. You're also free to pass those who need it will take it.
The news is littered daily with gross incompetence from Nigerian doctors who have either misdiagnosed or applied wrong treatment regimen in patients leading to deaths and all. Thousands of Nigerians loose their lives yearly to doctors gross incompetence.
They arent God. Yes they misdiagnosed and make mistakes so also the oyibo doctors you want to run to. Only there they dont announce it to the entire planet like Nigerians are prone to do.
Also wontnit be strange it the doctors start announcing every right diagnosis. You tend to forget that a 1% error means he got 99 right.
The Nigerian doctor is an empty nut head who is more interested in the prestige his Dr tittle accords him/her than getting the job done the right way.
Now this is pure hatred for whatever reason. Your business.
You think your president, lawmakers and wealthy Nigerians who go outside the country for proper healthcare are silly? I won't even go near Nigerian doctors for a simple diagnosis... Incompetent lots
No they arent. Firstly to many it's a status thing, I can afford it not that they are smart. |

KoiceReloaded: What's not to like? The cinematography, the music, the direction, the acting, the editing, the funny OTT action scenes, the dialogue, et al were spot on. It was a very engrossing experience. Tarantino told his story through the eyes of the main cast, and wasn't afraid to meander from the narration occasionally.
You should know it's an alternate history movie. At first watch, I didn't know this. Didn't know what to make of film, even though I enjoyed most of it. I thought it happened exactly like that, then I did a research, and realized that it was an irony... classic QT. Basically, it's QT's way of rewriting history. I've rewatched it since, and enjoyed it much more than I did on first watch.
Read up on Tate–LaBianca murders, and watch the film again. I guarantee it will make more sense to you. Watch it as an alternate history movie. I understood it as an alternate history story but still I think the meandering was too much. It was a fair movie but not spectacular. I couldnt really pin down the point |

Romance › Re: Can My Disrespectful & Unsubmissive Girlfriend Change After Marriage? by armadeo(m): 5:58pm On Nov 27, 2019 |
burggerx: One thing that scares the hell out of me about my girlfriend is her attitude. When you talk about a disrespectful and unsubmissive lady, my girlfriend is the headquarters of all the disrespectful and unsubmissive ladies I've ever met. Even if she does something good, I don't tend to notice it because her bad attitude has already overshadowed the good side of her
Even if she acts respectful to me, it's so obvious she's only forcing it since it's a trait she lacks. Just when a little brawl ensues, curses and abusive words are usually not far-fetched from her mouth. She has even insulted my family before during a heated argument. The only thing my girlfriend is yet to do is to beat me up
I believe they say respect is earned but I've done everything a man should do to earn respect from his lady yet this lady talks to me like a kid. No sign of humility at all
My girlfriend is not only dominating but toxic and does not accept correction. She makes it look like giving authority as a man is slavery and she questions my authority every time. The annoying part is that she argues a lot and always wants to be right at all times. Feminism is written all over her to the extent that even in movies, my girlfriend will have the back of a woman who is unsubmissive and disrespectful to an innocent husband.
Although she acts like a respectful girlfriend in the presence of my family but my mom in question is smart enough to know that she's only faking it despite trying all my best to portray my girlfriend as someone that gives me joy in the face of my mom
Before my mom traveled to the UK in September, she sat me down up to three times and advised me to let go of this girl if I really want to spend the rest of life with peace of mind and that if I insist on marrying her, she doesn't have a choice than to respect my decision but she will remind me of her advice which I didn't yield to if I eventually end up as a frustrated man in the future
I've tried to terminate the relationship but she cries and makes the whole thing look like I don't love her and that if I do, I should be able to cope with her flaws. There was even a time she told me she doesn't have a choice than to respect me if I marry her and I was like WTF!
I have decided to call the relationship a quit once and for all since I'm not in for any future drama. I don't want to end up with a woman that will be rude and disrespect me in the face of my own children.
But there's one question I want to ask is that, can a ride girlfriend ever change after marriage? Is it worth taking the risk that she will change with time? Oga. Sorry to say you dont have sense. Dats all. |

If you do you shall continue the cycle of aiding and abetting your cousin, my advise go to that child, that in the university, have a sit down explain thing to him and let him know you shall pay the school fee directly into the school account and if he need anything in future he should contact you directly. Stop depositing money into your cousin account. I am shocked seeing people suggest he should throw his money into the pit for one last time. Jesus. This is why we never learn in this country. OP. Ishilove: Congrats. Your 5th child has been born. Get ready to train your child up to university level.
This kind of heart is partly why most of my life savings is gone. People are so exploitative and manipulative, are ready to milk you dry till you wither away, and are even ready to use the husk of your withered state as toothpick. When you carry the whole world on your shoulders, like Colossus, you better be very strong. Your cousin has developed this entitlement mentality because she has your mumu button. Who in God's name is still having up to 5 children in this Buhari era?? Even wealthy folks don't have that many, not to talk of people who are just managing to meet ends meet? If they didn't have Brother J to fall back on wouldn't they find a way to manage their affairs??
Yes, you love their kids very much, but they are not orphans, the Good Lord be praised. You are stuck in a Sisyphean cycle of your own making and it will take strong mind and wisdom to break out. The first thing is stepping back and looking objectively at your cousin and her husband. If you drop dead today by virtue of your profession, won't they find a way to provide for their kids and be more careful with their choices? When you get money on a platter of ease you tend to be careless with it, which is why after an almost 10 million investment in their business there is no head or tail. If they had sweated and busted their balls to get the funds they will be more creative, careful and thoughtful in their business choices.
She even got duped of money meant to pursue the job?? How? What happened to due diligence??
Brother J to the rescue when they fvck up, as usual.
Their kids are not yours. Don't allow sentiments cloud good judgement and common sense. Since your main concern is the children, stop making yourself so available for taxation. Find a way to pay the fees of the first one (you're likely going to pay the fees of the remaining four at this rate) by keeping the academic calendar. It's not hard. The boy can get it or even Nairalanders can provide it if he can't. When the fees are due you fire it to his mum and leave at that.
Stop making yourself available. If you can't then stop complaining because you started it by becoming Father Christmas, but then again even Saint Nick comes once a year. Lol. I read this and thought what a beautiful write up. I was going to suggest to you to try your hand at writing, scrolled up to see the moniker and almost choked laughing. . That being said bros J. You are in a cycle with vicious parasites. Yoh have no idea how entitled they feel to your funds till you cut it off. In my opinion cut them all off for a year. No need for excuses just say I don't have. When they survive the year ( I assure you they will), you will realise you've just been pampering them.
Tou can now give aid as tou deem fit and always 1/4 to 1/2 of the required amount. Never all. Modified I just read lewstherin's post and put in bold a similar point. |

Okoroawusa: Maybe the boy is an only son...
They should have waited for the boy to mature more... some of these marriages hit the rock later when the boy becomes a man.
Let's stop this tradition. My friend from Ukpor, it's in Nnewi South LGA in Anambra, his grandfather is also his father. It happened that the a man married an older girl for his very small only son. The man then fathered some children on behalf of his son. However when the boy became of age he was told that the kids he had been running away with all his childhood were actually his children. He told them that they r mad n proceeded to get a woman his age as a wife. He was just making noise because the community sees the first woman as his wife even though she was order than him n the children as his if he likes let him go n marry twenty other wives n give birth to a battalion. The children are recognized as his children.
Now there is big wahala in that family... grandfather is dead, the woman married for him is dead but he has refused to accept those children (my friend is one of them). If he dies now who is his first son? Wow. Is this some made up stuff or is this for real. See wahala for kids that didnt plan it. Now the grandpa was the guilty one here. Why didnt he just marry the wife for himself. Selfish guy who has now left problem for his children. |
