Movies I am awaiting
1. The Irishman. This one makes me tremble with delight. Some of my all time favs + Scorsese. What more could I want. To be released on netflix in the 27th.
2. The call of the wild. I feel I will like this on a saturday morning
3. Cats. Ever since the greatest showman I've kept an eye out for possibly his musicals this might be one. The cast is stellar.
Will update later. |

This is laughable.
Your mother wants a made man for you? While the act itself is understandable a man not building a house doesn't make him a failure.
What if he isnt ready to build?
Anyway the only thing you should know is when you marry it's you and your husband. No mother no father. Your mum doesn't want you to leave so better do what you want.
You will never marry if you keep listening to her and end up miserable.
The joy is yours alone and not shared when you marry. Be joyful |

RayMcBlue: - Watchmen: A lot of individuals won't be able to appreciate the layers of profundity this show has, but I am loving it. Regina King and Buster Scruggs are impeccable.
- The Mandalorian: This is probably the most I've enjoyed a Star Wars property in a long time. The reveal at the cessation of the first episode was an immensely colossal surprise, and I can't wait to ascertain more.
- Limetown just completed the series and thought it was amazing. It has pretty good writing and direction, and is paced very well. I really liked this movie. |

AjayOfficial: Okay just recently my cousin got married, wedding ceremony was held in the east, Enugu state to be precise. A lot of people graced the occasion from far and near across states in Nigeria, but d attendants that got my attention was a family friend,a couple that flew in from Kenya. They are Nigerians but now based in Kenya. I took care of their travel arrangement and here is the breakdown; : Return ticket from Kenya to Lagos N290k ×2 = 580k : Return ticket Lagos to Owerri (because Enugu airport is closed) 46k × 2 = 92k : Land transportation Owerri to Enugu 25k (chartered car) : Hotel (5 nights) 75k : chartered cab to move around 40k Then feeding and other miscellaneous expenses which I cannot calculate, but those expenses listed above amounted to N712k. So my thought was why not stay put in Kenya and send the couple even 500k and do video call to congratulate them rather than spending that much to come down here to shake their hands, take photographs and give them 50k inside brown envelope (that is the amount my cousin said the man gave him).
So guys what do u think, I don't know if am making sense oh but that is my own opinion to the matter. This is the very definition of an ungrateful friend. Someone risks his life to journey down to ' physically' celebrate with you and you said he should have just dropped the bar and stayed back. There really is something wrong with many Nigerians. The fact that your brain could even reason in this direction shows who you are in reality. You are a bad person. Cc midnighter, Lol @ masam. That guy will be calculating your own money in his mind. Very dangerous person |

ZIMDRILL: women are very proud of their kitchens,
cultural where am from (zimbabwe) its sign of disrespect for daughter or mother in law to use utensils or take food with asking permission in their respective kitchens
unless the two have a good relationship, but still they both ask permission as a way to respecting one's property
this also applies to us men, i can not go grab whisky from the cabinet without asking permission
we just have to respect each others home irregardless that s/he is married to son/daughter Lol. Well me and my crew anytime we visit each other any liquor " in sight" is fair game. No stories asked. My guys girl brought out the remy/ henny he hid when we landed his crib based on she didnt want him drinking. Dude was offering beer..imagine!!! We guzzle that shit like it was going out of fashion and he had to guzzle up too cos he knows the rules. |

queenfav: The ego part is what's making me boil. This is a time where he should even look for ways to make his wife happy, not add to her problems. The shoe pinches who wears it. Jn one post I said that the problem as yoh put it is ego. Its logical in its illogicality. The wife has to understand the situation and manage it as such. This is a typical example of for better for worse. If she manages it well then they come out stronger ( hoping the man gets back on his feet). If she doesn't then Cyracus Nzekwe will report thier case. Now is the time to prove herself. Beyond reasonable doubt. Its akin to having a family member with a mental health issue. Is it his fault no!. But you have to manage it. |

oghale23: I know a couple who are friends of my family. The man is a business man, while the wife is a medical doctor.
They are in their late 50's and have three children. Currently they are separated because the wife said he cannot meet up with her financial needs.
She built a house in Lagos without informing her husband, while he was building one in Ogun state.
I was sad and disappointed. A marriage of like 2 decades, quenched because the wife felt she has more needs the husband cannot cater for.
Now the man will be left alone, no one to help him and meet his sexual needs. She wants out. Let her go. The man should pick himself up and move on. I expect the kids are grown. Ag his age he can always get another wife. Maybe another woman who feels her husband cant meet up but he can. As for the sex part, he should know how to go about that. Finally communication is key in any relationship. |
Family › Re: Married Men, Can You Tolerate This? And Married Ladies Are You All The Same? by armadeo(m): 6:15pm On Nov 21, 2019 |
Marriage is a partnership.
That's what many people fail to understand. These days it's just ceremony and divorce.
Many people arent really ready for marriage.
It's called a union 2become 1. Each part bringing thier strength and supporting each others weaknesses making the union a solid one.
OP to be frank the issue of your wife coming back to make food for you is ridiculous. You were seating at home, get the food to eat. No harm done after all she went out to hustle.
Anyway my advise is this..what is lacking in your marriage is proper communication. You guys need to talk.
Finally on the issue of cheating and power tool size. My honest opinion is that the deed is either in the oven or has been done. Deal with it as you deem fit. |
Family › Re: How Do I Understand/satisfy My Husband? by armadeo(m): 6:02pm On Nov 21, 2019 |
LewsTherin: Seeing as this thread has been well derailed by those bashing men and those bashing those bashing men, I'll modify my post.
Your husband has just lost the most important thing to any man - self worth. He is depressed, he is frustrated, he is lost. He may come out of it tomorrow, he may never recover. You can take the easy way out like many so-called feminists will say and kick his behind to the curb...
...or you can honour your vows of "for better or worse till death do us part" (I am assuming you said those words).
If you choose this route, my advice (which may not work by the way) is 1. Pray for him. Constantly. That he find his way back. 2. Keep the house going to the best of your ability. It is difficult, I know. But it is possible. 3.Talk to him like there is nothing different. Ask his opinion on anything and everything. Leas him into discussions that will make him say "if it was me, I will do such and such" or "the best option would have been to do this and that". Something that will help him begin to think again, to plan again. It may help him out of his hole. 4. Keep trying to get his mother/father, closest friend, pastor he trusts to talk to him. But do not under any circumstances involve any other people that it can be said "you went to spread my news round the world". And very definitely no one from your family.
I actually have first hand experience of this so I have an idea how he feels. God help you. Youre smart. @op your husband is depressed due to his lack of funds to cater for his family and now you're doing the job. In reality many women are in your shoes and many marriages have crashed due to this issue. Do as the above poster adviced, give him a semblance of authority something gto make him feel in charge again and you'll be surprised at the change. Its gonna be hard cos the problem.youre dealing with is mental and has its logic despite how illogical it appears. It's all in your hands now. Be strong for him and he'll surely remember when he gets back on his feet. All the best. Modified.. Take note of 24kmagic post. |
