helpee: I said it that APC will soon become the nemesis of the people. APC is becoming anti democratic. So because fayose did not support buhari then he must be removed by all means. If GEJ had laid siege on rivers state simply because amaechi didn't support him amaechi won't be running mouth. They won in osun no problem but ekiti must be destroyed just because they lost and they are not even in power yet. APC will start destroying itself from ekiti. By the time they do this in about three states and lay siege on newspaper and media houses that criticise buhari then we will start thinking about the change. When fayose was impeached with 7 members of the house by obasanjo was it democratic. APC want to make the state ungovernable for him the way they did to jonathan but ekiti and fayose are stubborn people. You have no right to determine who will rule us. Obasanjo succeeded cos they were in the same party but with APC trying to steal power through the back door, they will start their disgrace from ekiti. PDP fans are never realistic. Someone ousted the speaker of the house using 7 lawmakers against 19 when the law clearly stated only 2/3 of the house can impeach anyone and you are there spewing rubbish. Some of you simply do not have conscience and unreasonable. |

dealslip: Can this undiscerning law makers leave this impeachment plans till after the gubernatorial elections. This is not good for APC in other states especially Lagos. This confirms that APC is a troublesome party and are power drunk at the moment. The victory at the last election is still intoxicating them and think they can get power easily from a confirmed thug like Fayose. Would you rather 7 is seen as greater than 19? Fayose called for this when he influenced the ouster of the APC speaker of the house? Fayose aside the fact that he has behaved as a thug ( thuggery is in his family, Femi is elder brother who lives/used to live in Akute Lagos is a 419, thug and a chronic liar, I know him personally), the tape released a while ago is enough to have him impeached. I just hope APC knows the importance of having the majority in the house on Saturday still if not, if Fayose succeeds in his delay tactics, and PDP wins the house of rep elections this weekend, the whole impeachment thing would have been defeated. |

PDP should be used as an example when people are teaching the need to be humble when in power.
They did everything to frustrate APC not knowing that they will end this way.
I just hope and pray that for the betterment of our beloved country, PDP will be a worthy opposition party. We can't do with a one party system. We now more than ever before need APC. |

He should not. Who cares about his support? Whether he does or he does not, one thing is certain, he cannot be relevant in Nigeria's political affairs any more and that is music to my ears. |

ExcessKJ: Thank You. Nobody said they shouldn't come to exercise their duty. Bro, this matter on ground is due to the selfish interest of APC goons especially Omirin to become Acting governor at 'any' cost. Since Fayose has been sworn in, the lawmakers never dance to his beat. He sent political appointee names which APC members rejected, approval of budget, they said no. Though, am aware of how the mighty 7 impeach Omirin as speaker which he later proceed to court to challenge his removal, the case is still pending in court till this evening. All of a sudden because APC won Presidential election they re-surface and start planning impeachment moves heavily. I want you to know that if Buhari emergence as President as now become a threat to his non-party faithful governor, am sorry then there is a breach of Democracy. Please, am not a PDP member at all but LET'S LEAVE THIS MAN ALONE. We voted for him massively in Ekiti, he is the one we want not any By force by fire CHANGE. (pls am subject to objection) Thanks if you blame Olurin, it means 7 is greater than 19? |

Ilekeh: Wouldn't surprise me. PDP always use Igbos' tribal sentiments as a divisive tool.
During the presidential election, PDP posted the "Buhari jailed Ojukwu" ad in newspapers, even tho Buhari and Ojukwu became friends before Ojukwuw's death....but guess who fell for it.
Who falls for tribal politics in Nigeria? we know them and once it backfires as it always does, they then turn back and play victim when they themselves are their own enemies. Let them continue in their victim mentality. We will see how far that will go. |

phrankphum: @Op, what a report! Y don't u desist from false news. No one was shot dead pls. I'm resident in Ekiti. It has only been protests and road barricades at all entrances leading to the state. The op was so unfair to have even mentioned the name of the honourable member representing Efon as the one who fired the gun. More so, common sense shd tell you dat dat guy couldn't have been killed today and wool would be immediately put on his nostrils and mouth. Next time u are reporting news, don't report news dat will cause God's wrath on you pls and mind the way you confuse ppl especially those who do not have means of confirming if ur rumour is true or not. I am very likely to be banned for this. All in the name of a supposed rule 20. The moderators didd it before, my surprise would be if they do not do it this time around. Little is the blame of the OP here. I blame Seun and his moderators who pushed this to the front page. In things like this, you would expect Seun and his moderators to be careful about what is on the front page but otherwise is the case here. Anyone objective knows who the cause of the Ekiti problem is. Expecting my 1 week or 1 month or forever ban. I will say the truth regardless. |

Obvioulsy he wasn't willing to play ball on certain issues. So he had to go. With huge propaganda and behind-the-scence coercion they've been able to achieve this.
Now I wonder what they hope to do in Nigeria now that the stumbling block is gone. Are you saying America and the UK and not Nigerians voted against the jerk of a president? |

PDP fans/SE/SS will be happy to read this but what they forget is that America and the UK allowed the citizenry to decide their own fate with their votes.
This technically means the powerhouse duo already knew GEJ's can't win in a free and fair election. They only ensured they put him in a tight corner so as to ensure he does not rig. |

Frankmishael: I was left in tears when i read President Goodluck congratulatory message to Gen. Buhari I was not crying because i felt like crying, i was not crying cause i supported him and he lost, but i cried cause his words arrested my emotions. He wished his opponent a good administration ahead, he congratulated him and accepted defeat. I could remember by this time in 2011, Buhari never accepted that he lost, he promised Jonathan that he will make his administration ungovernable for him and he later fulfilled his promise. His supporters took to the streets and slaughtered innocent Nigerians but he never stopped the killings. But today, he has won that same man that defeated.him in 2011 but got a congratulatory message instead of threats. He has wished him success and not promising him an ungovernable tenure. Few weeks to the election, the people we call our leaders were busy sending threats to themselves and leaving the poor masses gripped with fear. Some people left the country with fear of the aftermath of the election. But today you'v restored peace by accepting defeat peacefuly..Oh! Jonathan, you've shown us that you'r a good man. You'v shown African leaders the true definition of democracy. You wished not to influence the elections with your powers, you wished not to cancel the election when you can do it and nothing will happen. Posterity will never forget you where ever you go. I am still your fan for life. You'r a good and gentleman but surrounded by ingrates and fools that care for their pockets alone. Oh Jona! You lost the election but won my heart.... Crying can never cease in your life. You deserve as much hurt cry as possible. A liar like yourself should cry endlessly and be in constant emotional and physical pain. All the time. Pathetic liar. When did GMB say he will make the jerk's administrator ungovernorable? I wonder how you people feel comfortable lying this much. May your crying continue, endlessly and not cry of joy but that of pain and anguish. Oloriburuku aki danidani brother ode. |

Why is Fayose hiring people to lay siege on the assembly? I thought he said the law makers are jokers? Why is he now all of a sudden afraid?
I can't wait for his impeachment and the APC law makers better be fast about it. They only have from now till June or thereabout ( or do they also go on May 29 )? to impeach the idiota.
However, APC should not forget the importance of actually getting the majority in the assembly elections this weekend. Failure to do so, Fayose would have technically defeated them. It is obvious that his delay tactics boils down to that. |
