How can you make careless statement on an international platform “that INEC was paid to rig the election”.

Please read the first paragraph of the policyin the link you pasted. (The purpose)

The policy is for US govt employees or US citizen residing outside the US.

This is not for children born in the US either by temporary visitors or permanent visitors

Comprehension is very key!

I have a close friend who has just had her baby in the US ,right now she is really upset as she was told her child will not have US citizenship unless the child remains in the US for the next 3yrs,. I did not know this is already taking effect, I thought it was after October 29th

Also, my mums application has changed to administrative processing for over 10days now.

I have called the 2ce, feedback- "the pp is still with the consulate". they are yet to advice on the next steps. either 221g, a yes or a No

****fingers crossed****

I have a contrary opinion, except the process has now changed.

Last September 2018, within 24 hours my status changed to administrative processing, i checked https://cgifederal.secure.force.com i got a notification to schedule a 221g(this is was clearly written) and i was giving an option for different dates and time slots which i chose the closest and most convenient.

believe me, my passport was not sent till after a week i scheduled the 221g interview.

The 221g letter will come when your passport is ready for pick up. Wait a while. They will send you another message that your passport is ready for pick up. You can however go ahead and schedule the appointment. Don't get your hopes up, it's not a mistake. That is usually the thread. The ceac website will continue to say administrative processing until you've attended the interview and a final decision has been made
Does anyone have a way out please.............

asake85:
Good Evening All

I submitted my mum's app for renewal since 19th Dec. Last Friday, 25th Jan it changed to Administrative processing.

Till today, it is yet to change to either Issued or the other way(Refusal or 221g).

I have also checked the cgifederal.secure.force.com website, there is no notification for a 221g interview.

I have called the embassy and they have confirmed that the passport is still with them.

Has anyone experienced this length of delay?

Have you tracked on https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

That should show you the current status of your application, if issued, or on administrative processing

Good Morning all... I did my Dropbox in December 2018 and just got a text message this January 2019 that my passport is ready for pick up... also got an email confirming same. But before then I tracked it online and noticed it showed me on the dash board available appointment date. Please does this mean I am being invited for interview or what... I am yet to collect my passport. Did not receive any call or sms inviting me.

Can anyone advice on what to Do, as this is strange to me...

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by asake85(f):
Hello house, I have been looking forward to sharing this story as I have noticed everyone has been dull and panicking. My husband and I had our 221g interview this Saturday -10 Nov and we were granted our visas.

………… A bit of background.

In 2016, we got visas. In that interview, we stated our intention to birth our child. Fast forward 2018 we put in our passport for drop box in September but were invited for a 221g interview.

The first date we saw was in March 2019, then one fateful day, I checked the portal again and the closest date we got was Jan 21 which we selected immediately. Few days later we got a notification that the interview has been rescheduled to Jan 11 because Jan 21 was a public holiday in the US. Then again one faithful night we got another email that we had been rescheduled again to Nov 10 which was a shock as it fell on a Saturday.

On the date of the interview, my husband and I were both shocked to see the massive crowd at the embassy for our 8.30 appointment. The whole room was so crowded. When it was our turn a young lady probably in her early 20ties interviewed us.

VO: Hello good morning with a big smile, (she collects our passport and scans)
US: We are fine thank you!

VO: she responds after scanning our passports “so let’s see why you are asked to come for an interview- you had a baby in 2016, good thing you declared your intentions, so we just want to see your receipts to verify you made all your payments”

I already arranged all our receipts with zero balance receipt, I also got my hospital to give me a letter stating that I didn’t take any form of insurance or medic-aid.

I passed on the receipts to her.

VO: How much did you pay?
US: 10k for the birth and 130/per pre-natal visits, 241/sonogram

VO: do you have your itemized bill?

My husband and I were sceptical on taking the itemised bill along as we read here that some VO typically pick issues upon sighting itemised bill, but we still took it along.

DW: Yes! then I presented the itemised bill and she confirmed our zero balance on the itemised bill.

She then asked general questions on what we filled in our application as I have changed jobs since 2016 but still the same field.

VO: Will you be using medical serviced during your visit?
US: No! we will not be using medical services cos I am not pregnant at the moment (which is the truth)

(After she informed us that we’d be granted visa renewals, I wanted to ask, “what if I get pregnant before my visa expires, can I use this visa”. I just kept quiet before she will change her mind or start asking me for my great grandmother’s birth certificate……. LOL)

My observation:

All through our 1hr stay in the room;

1. A lot of people were refused, and a lot of people were granted
2. Majority of the people around me were for 221g interview or given birth or their spouse have given birth in the US.
3. At some point, I overheard one VO asking;
• “Do you have an idea how much it cost to birth in US?”, I guess the applicant stated a very low price that she paid.
• I also heard one VO stating that a particular Dr in Houston is on their investigation list for Medicare. He typically would go back to government for payments after charging patients low. The VO went ahead to request that the applicant should present her itemised bill.
(I MIGHT HAVE HEARD WRONGLY) smiley

Summarily, my advise to anyone intending to birth in America are
1. Be TRUTHFUL and pray for the grace of God and favour….
2. Be organised, arrange and label all your documents properly.
3. Stay away from cheap hospitals.
4. The VO while interviewing us checked a paper she pasted on her wall after I told her how much I paid. Then she nodded like that was a fair enough price.(MY OBSERVATION MIGHT BE WRONG)

I just received an email that my 221g appointment has been rescheduled to an earlier date.

First it was late Jan-2019 date, then it was moved backward to a date in 1st week in Jan-2019.

I have just received another email that it has been rescheduled to a Nov-2018 date. A date which falls on a Saturday.

Question is does the embassy open on Saturday? Who has ever visited on a Saturday?

I am confused

Hello House, i have just received the almighty 221G letter to schedule a follow up interview. Earliest date we have gotten is 3rd week in Jan 2019.
My husband and i declared our intention to birth our baby during our interview in 2016. We have paid all our bills(payment plan), and received zero balance from the hospital as well as the itemized bill.
We intend to go for holiday early next year, any tips on preparation before we proceed for our interview? I have read VO's might pick issues on low hospital bill and un-explainable discounts. ours was an all inclusive self pay-package of 10k USD(CS) to cover physician for both mother and child. But excludes prenatal and scan.
Well prior to my journey, I used Western Union and Moneygram to send cash to my friend here in Houston. Used Access Bank. I under U can only do a total of 1k in a quarter or N328k.I did one in my name and another in my hubby 's name. In total I was able to send about 1880 dollars at approx at the rate of 365.5 including charges. All you need to do is fill out the form and have someone to pick cash from the other side. [/quot
