I came across your response before the question. My response wasn't an attempt to 'come at you'!
I personally know more than 10 people who paid for slots. All are Northerners, sold by Northerners. Some succeeded, others failed.
If you ask me, it is easier to get a job through that means now unfortunately!
I've been to the last stages of many recruitments and in some cases people who didn't even participate in the whole process eventually get employed.
It is what it is. It is a necessary vice to buy slots. However, i will personally never refuse to apply for any opportunity i feel is better than my current one. I am neutral when it comes to buying or not buying.
Truth of the matter however is, job racketeering is very very ripe in the North just as it is in the South.

Well, truth of the matter is, I'm a northerner and I have never come across any norther politician who sells slots or a northerner who got a job via a politician by paying money. All the people I know in my state that got even A-list agencies' slots from northern politicians got it with no money exchanging hands.

The salary is consolidated.
Any other pay is not official. So i can't really say if they do or not

C'mon! Be happy for them for once. They're the least paid Federal Gov't staff. Even with this increment they still won't earn as much as other salary structures.

You are not submitting anything new, just go as you are, they already have your credentials from what you submitted on the testmi portal.

The first is a personality test, about 100 questions, no right or wrong answers, so do not worry much about that. The tension can be much from the wait, and you can feel intimidated entering the panel room but just keep your emotions in check, you will be fine as they’re all friendly and normal people who just want to hear what you have to share. They asked questions from what’s on your CV and about your experiences, they may ask you to talk to them about your work experience and afterwards they’ll ask questions and your answers may lead to more questions, just a typical kind of interview.

TLDR;
Prepare as you would for a normal interview, be ready to defend the skills and experiences on your CV.

Its a little more than that. 3-5k difference. They also have Hazard allowance of 30k that will soon be implemented

Why are you so stingy with information. The guy was kind enough to share what he knows. Rather than mentioning the organisation you're just beating around. Sharing the information will not take away the job from you if its meant for you and hiding it will not give it to you if its not meant to be.

Probably alot failed the first exercise so they are trying to fill up the slots. Cos I heard almost 500 went and the slot I heard reliably is just 70 or thereabout.

Up to 100 Agencies are ready for IPPIS capturing....There are lots of agencies. una just de fix eyes for NCC, FIRS and Co. At least if you don't get the A - Class, get B or C class....Just get a secured Jobs..

1. Those that applied with ssce are recruited as CORP ASSISTANT 2 or 3

2. For the corp assistant 2, his annual salary is 615,000 while that of corp assistant 3 is about 30,000 less than that of CA2 annual salary

3. Yes, immediately after his confirmation i.e 2-3 years into the service.

4. There are 3 categories of cadre in NSCDC. The CORP ASSISTANT CADRE for ssce personnel, the INSPECTORATE CADRE for NCE/DIPLOMA and the SUPERINTENDENT CADRE for HND/BSC. the superintendent cadre is for the commissioned officers while that of Corp assistant and inspectorate cadre are the non commissioned.

5. Yes. If he is allowed to further his studies. upon completion, he will be upgraded to a commissioned officer.
Noted: during their promotional exams, they may ask those that have additional certificate to submit it for consideration.

Hello guys, just got info of this thread a friend of mine, applied for civil defense then, I think he got connect for replacement. He has some worries I told him make I find out I'll give him feedback
Here are his worries

1. He applied via SSCE
2. How much is the salary of SSCE
3. Will he be able to further in his education?
4. He thinks civil defense is categorize into commissioned and non commissioned, what's the difference between the two.
5. If he falls into non commissioned, can he convert to commissioned?
