The law stipulates that you must get 25% of the total votes cast in two-thirds of the states plus FCT.

Now, let me break it down for you.

Two-thirds of the thirty-six states we have in Nigeria is 24.

Plus FCT making it 25.

So the winner must:

1. Have the highest number of votes cast over all.

2. Have 25% of the total votes cast in at least 25 states in the country.
