bestviewer: This is a landslide for APGA in November..you cannot be too sure about that....hear ifeanyi ubah is broke now and that is why his campaign has mellowed down in recent times, ngige still has support that cannot be waved off. |
Yeske!:other candidates have also promised...promise is easy. |
kmariko: I was made to understand that the schools in the rural areas are the responsiblity of the LGAs not the state . The reason why some of the LGA chairmen were dropped in the november election.ok...then that is the reason i do not get bothered about whether there is lga election or not. |
cashkid is back: yea,i quite agree wit u bt at least,d govt shud renovate sum of it in each of d senatorial zonesall money is needed to make enugu city look good. |
Afam4eva: Enugu doesn't have much money and this is why governors always choose an area where they want to focus on. During Chimaroke's tenure, it was about the schools and hospitals.so i guess the next governor should concetrate on nsukka and its environs and leave other places since nsukka with its increasing population desperately needs it?first self a master plan for nsukka needs to be developed...moreover i keep harping on that the rural areas should not be neglected...most igbos that migrate to other places largely do so from their rural abode. |
cashkid is back: chime has reali tried for enugu infrastructure changin enugu into one of d most liveable cities in nig.kudos to him bt he has nt done much work in educational sector..sum of d public skuls ar ntin to write home abt especially in d rural areas.ignoring the rural areas and schools therein is the opportunity cost of making enugu city good. |
Afam4eva: I think this man raised a point about Awka in comparison to Enugu. For some reason, some Nigerians have this mind set that commercialization and development goes hand in hand. How in God's name is Awka that's supposed to be similar to Enugu in look and feel now becoming like Onitsha. Where then is someone going to rest in Anambra? Onitsha and Nnewi caters for commerce in the state. Let the state government allow Awka to remain tranquil and liveable.lagos is both commercial and residential..enugu tends to want to be like abuja...owerri used to be like that but in recent times i am hearing that it is tending towards commercial...kano is both commercial and residential...unless you want anambra state government to stop commercial activities in awka which to me is almost impossible...what is needed in awka is structural masterplan. |
question here is there a way one can put the relevant infrastructure in awka, nnewi and onitsha without neglecting the rural areas or neglecting any other sector?if there is way then it should be done as i do not believe in having a 'developed capital' and an 'underdeveloped' rural areas. |
Chino_Is_Back: ^your man has to start selling himself to market associations, women, artisans, farmers, civil servants and students....those are the people that actually vote. |
when is geometric power plant going to be commissioned? |
heard that 26 market associations in anambra have endorsed ngige....it is on elombah.com. |
pokur: Btw,there is no mention of industrialization drive, revenue generation n employment creation.maybe he is not interested in industrialization....people are different you know. |
Kingsley1000: As in eh! IGBOS ARE THE MOST FOLISH TRIBE IN NIGERIA...ESP,WE ANAMBRARIANS,DATS Y PETERADA LAVISHED AND CONVEYED OUR DOSH TO HIS FIDELITY BANK,BUILDING CASTLES IN D AIR AND WE'RE STILL YELLING*APGA*IBO PARTY MA FOOTafter calling them foolish with emotional fits on cyberspace you still want them to vote your candidate? |
shine eye: Breaking News ...................................source? |
Kingsley1000: Wow,just stormed d city last week from benin.was astonished by what i saw.i wish an economist like prof soludo would govern d city..what did you see? |
INNO18: maybe you mean NNobi, believe me, if u were to drive from Nnewi to Nnobi you wouldnt know when you'd drive out of Nnewi, they seem to be interwoven, nothing seperates the two. The only thing that angers me is the single lane road. I was stuck in traffic for close to 15 minutes @ the Teaching Hospital Road. Duualising Roads in Nnewi will be one heck of a hectic Job cos i just can Imagine any gov't in power willing to compensate anybody for the 3 and 4 storey's they'd have to knock down to make way for such a a dev't. Unless offcourse the 'fashola strategy' will be used, where the structures will be demolished for lack of 'C of O'. Anyway it has to be done, Nnewi just needs dual carriage ways.i actually meant ozubulu not nnobi...i have not heard of nnobi's case...well dualizing enteries into nnewi has to be done whether people cry foul or not..problem is the affected would always use it against gov. That would do it. |
jbaur24: Ozubulu is the next door neighbor to Nnewi, development is fast spilling over into Ozubulu. Remember that Beverly Hills Hotel is almost at the boundary between Ozubulu and Nnewi. And both towns are all monied region.meaning nnewi is beginning to have an effect on surrounding towns like that onitsha has affected obosi, nkpor, nkwelle ezunaka and the rest. |
i recently heard that neighbouring ozubulu is turning into an industrial town...how true is that? |
NnamdiN: lol I knew someone would bring this up. If I can't vote from uyo, I can mobilise voters from uyo. On behalf of iruebene people in Ojoto, idemili South LG, we hereby deliver our undiluted support to the one and only Onwa na etili ora. Thank youyawn...emotional outburst is different from reality. |
pls no one should join chino and abagworo....let them immerse themselves witheir usual mudslinging idiocy..ndi agadi abuo na eche echiche ka umu aka. |
Abagworo: You are right that a lot needs to be done. There are 27 LGAs in Imo State and work is going on one way or the other in all but I must however say that I wasn't impressed with the rural roads as they lack walkways and most of those that luckily have drainage, the drainages are open. However the works I've seen in Owerri and Orlu are impressive to me. A change in the right direction is good and we must free ourselves from tribalism, jealousy and partisanship to appreciate good things. Another reason I'm impressed is that expensive company like Julius Berger is not the one handling the projects but mostly indigenous Nigerian engineers and few foreigners. That will help develop our local construction industry, employ and empower our people. They may make mistakes at 1st but will perfect in future.errmmm...walkways in rural roads?knowing the scattered settlement pattern in the south east you think it is possible? |
NnamdiN: nne, ten container loads ka mbu abata Anambrai hope u are going to vote for him from uyo. |
bestviewer: What can you deduce so far from WMO?judging from his profile it is obvious he is an astute administrator...to work for texaco worldwide up to the level of chief internal auditor(also as i read somewhere the first black to do so) no be bean as it is not a post for a dullard....i think he would even be 4 times a better adminitrator than obi is....however i have a feeling that he is not much of a public speaker which can be a minus in nigerian politics....i also do not like a ceryain kind of aloofness vibes from him...he should know that despite being the candidate of the ruling party,he is the lesser known of the top four....he should start rigorous campaign in earnest. |
well he has to start his campaign fast in the state. |
achi4u: Yea,they are working based on their capacity.there was an abandoned large rice mill that was handed over to anambra state gov in 2011 or so in omor...that is the one i am talking about...you can use google to know the one i am talking about...not other smaller mills around. |
achi4u: Omor area are not playing with rice farming but their farm is still small to compare Ebonyi areable farm land.i know but i want to find out is if the mill itself is working. |
achi4u: Mba! CHOCOLATE rice.guy type ebony rice on google and tell me what you see....u wey dey ebonyi never hear am before?...u think i am being sarcastic? |
anambra is supposed to be processing rice through omor rice mill....don't know if that place is functioning though. |
achi4u: It is not a hear say.I have witness it here in Abakaliki rice mill where one oyibo man was busy buying this our local rice in large quantity and instantly pouring a red oil on to of the heap...before y know it, it wil turn to foreign rice with higher price.you mean EBONY rice? |
taharqa:what are you suprised about?or dont you know eastern electrics has taken bpe to court over controversial sale of enugu disco to interstate? |
