Xander85: The crop of politicians and leaders we had pre-war were the best we've ever had! They were pan-Igbo in outlook and visionary! What also helped then was regional/fiscal-federal structure we operated as a country in which each region managed its own resources and remitted 50% to the centre. I'm made to understand they had their own constitutions as well.
The one person i'd say let us down was Zik! He was too much of a 'one Nigerian' and this worked in the favour of his contemporaries who were more realistic about the long-term prospects of Nigeria as a nation!
Fast dowse to today, and Ndigbo have never had it so bad! What we have today masquerading as political elite are greedy, self-serving, unrefined, ill-educated charlatans, who are in some cases propped up by equally compromised god fathers! your first paragraph is essentially the truth |

Kokolet11: call it whatever you want.bubu will never hand over to igboman in 2023.ohanze ndiigbo, south east govs and 60% of igbos are useless.i thank God that our leaders in 1960 to 1969 are not useless like what we have now.Nigeria govt and nigerians dont take igbos and our useless ohaneze serious again, and that remind me please what is the outcome of the useless summit they did in awka?has nigerian govt done anything about it since then?you people are here dreaming how you want south east be like dubia,us and china or even other small african countries forgetting that this countries are not countries in country.nigeria govt is using every possible means to stop igbos growth and here we are crying like a baby.nigeria govt and nigerians we never treat igbos right, see how yroubas were happy that bubu remembred Abiola june 12 who is just one person but they were all over internets asking igbos not to remembre our people that died during the war,to them abiola who is just a person is better than those one million people that died to protect us.any country that is made of hate and envy we never progress even in the next 200yrs.ohaneze is shouting 2023 up and down but the truth is that bubu we never hand over to igboman.what have we gain from being nigeria?road we no get, railways we no get, river port we no get, power plants we get no get and they will soon close our airport.we can't use because of what we have outside igboland and die in nigeria and forgeting what we will gain after we leave.if we want to free ourself from nigeria, now is the best chance because time we come when 8 out of 10 every scurities agents you see we be hausaman. haha i said funny because what you wrote then was both harshly true and below the belt..however the difference btw the igbo leaders of 1960 to 1969 and the so called ones we have now is that those of the former where the most enlighthend igbo men as at then unlike now where chalartans took over.. |

mktinsight: The Igbos deserve the political marginalization that is on-going. I went to Enugu Airport last december to meet someone. Arriving from Abuja were a bunch of Senators including Andy Uba to spend their christmas. The window of AIIA was blown out. The floor was filthy. Most of the FAAN people in that airport are Igbo. Uba and his colleagues entered their convoys en-route to their mansions without a care. Obiano, Ugwuanyi or their representatives use the Enugu Airport at least once a month to attend FAAC meetings in Abuja. If they are not ashamed at this display then who should be? sounding like one those CNA described |

gbosaa: But you are not asha80. That was not what he meant. Dark art has nothing to do with what Matuidi and Ramos did to Onazi and Salah respectively. Ask asha80 to explain that was exactly what I meant.. dark arts is football is exactly what that guy is telling you.. I made that statement due to what Suarez did to Ghana.. I used albertini against Nigeria in USA 94.. or you don't know what he did to us? dark arts in football does not mean juju.. I though you were actually just trolling when you gave that plateau utd vs real Madrid e.g. |

Icon79: I think they did. But I might not be sure tho.
Well they should do that, if they haven't done it already because that's the worst form of unfair play especially if you consider that Ghana v Uruguay match. Because Uruguay didn't suffer any form of disadvantage in that particular game.
O pari they didn't change the rule and I hope they do not because it will bring up other complications and problems that would be difficult to handle.. for e.g. the Abel Xavier hand ball against France in Euro 2000 that led to zidane scoring golden goal penalty how will categorize that? deliberate handball? |

I mean, think about it, did Uruguay play even a single minute with 10 men in that match? It was totally unfair what happened to Ghana!!
O pari when did they change the rules? how sure are you? |

Joebie: PKs can be tricky. Even ir most trusted could still miss I know.. probably why Suarez took his chance.. he wasn't going to just allow the ball fly into the net at the point in time in the match without giving his team a fighting chance |

SlayerForever: I wasn't surprised by what Suarez did. South American football is not clean football. They believe that if you can cheat and get an advantage for the team,DO SO! It's their belief and I love it. I bet you, you'll still see that kind of play in this world cup. maybe we Africans ought to also know when to employ dark arts in football too. although south Americans are notorious for such but Europeans also do it.. e.g. albertini against us in USA 94 |

Icon79: Bros, that day I was so pissed off that I wanted to break my TV.
It's true that we tend to banter with Ghana but I threw my support 100% with them once Nigeria were eliminated at the World Cup. I wanted them to make it to the final because it was Africa's World Cup. Anyway, since that day, I parted ways with Luis Suarez and Uruguay team. I still don't like Suarez to this day, even though he plays for Barca
O pari but guy truthfully imagine this scenario.. 119mins in extra time France 0 Nigeria 0.. France has a corner.. lemar takes the corner.. giroud heads the ball. uzoho is clearly beaten and the ball is flying into the net.. Moses on the line cannot get it with the head and throws his hands up and parries the ball away.. ref gives Moses red card as expected.. griezmman goes to take the penalty (probably last kick of the encounter ).. griezmman balloons the ball to the crowd.. match enters penalty shout out and Nigeria wins.. how do you think Nigerians will view Moses and do yu think France will view griezmman? |

Icon79: Well, let's just say that Uruguay didn't impress me in their South American qualifiers. They only qualified in the second place because the Argies were disorganized and trying to self destruct plus FIFA decided to stick it to them with that ridiculous ban on Messi. But all in all, I might not be the most objective person to speak on Uruguay sha. My distaste for that team started the day Luis Suarez handball denied Ghana a semi final bet at South Africa 2010
O pari Brazil struggled to qualify for 2002 world cup while Argentina dusted everyone in that same qualifiers |

somehow: But latin has to do with classic roman language and i don't think French should be among the list, french is more to english/greek than to latin.
Though i understand where you're coming from looking at the context the commentator was speaking from (Footballing context) but Latin term is more complex than that.
Funny enough, Latin is more significantly used with Mexicans and smaller countries like Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Venzuelas etc but mostly on Mexicans.
It's more on the sounds and music and less on sports. i actually meant the language |

andrew444: Thank you,I am just trying to give him a small clue Rodrigo Bentacur of juventus we know what he can cause in the Midfield.
Nobody will tell you Uruguay cant make the semi, they will just watch and see,As far as am concerned Brazil dont have much quality players than Uruguay.
Some people call brazil world cup favorite but who is the striker there?
If we can call brazil world cup favorite then uruguay should also be called,As far as i am concerned luis suarez is the best striker in the WORLD.
As far as i am concerned Gabriel jesus is still an average player,is he because he plays for mancity and pep trust him alot? can we compare a gabriel jesus and a suarez or cavani? Aside neymar coutinho uruguay will match with brazil.
Thiago silva is not a better defender than Diego godin. Brazil edge them out in midfield but they edge brazil out in defence and attack. Jesus plays well for Brazil.. his goal per game ratio is good |
