The USA 94 Brazilian team was less flair and more organization. The added organization was what ended their barren run.
I know but for some reason a lot of Brazilians reckon with 2002 squad than 1994 squad

Brazilian samba drums? Omo, you didn't even talk about the trumpets and songs of the Nigerian supporters club na Brazil you go remember?
lol no mind me.. Na nostalgia.. no wonder we were saddled with fans clapping some funny looking pads or something like that in 2014

Glad you totally understood my point. I will look for that movie.
If the Brazilian squad of 82 had won the WC, perhaps the complexion of world football would have been different from what it is now.

Imagine Brazil were in USA 94 yet we were crowned most entertaining team. And ranked 5th in the world shortly afterwards. There's really need for an African style coupled with the best of the European style.
on your second paragraph most Brazilians will tell you that that USA 94 squad was actually a boring team.... I think it wasn't the 82 defeat that killed the jogo Bonito.. yes that defeat hurt them but it was the defeat to France in 86 that hit the final death nail to it

Sorry I came late to the Party, but I think you've got far better Responses. Mickael2 really hits the Nail where it Matters...... honestly I share his View and has little or non to add.

Africa Football is the Answer. We ain't as tactical as the Europeans to be candid. I was watching Germany vs S. Arabia Game, and I was like..... are the Germans really Machines?! They knew where to be, when to make Runs, and where/When Passes should be made.

This ain't our Ways. We didn't win the Gold Medals at Atlanta 96 playing the foreign Ways. We played our Game, our style and we wowed the World, same thing at USA 94.

Siasia wasn't given enough time with the Eagles. I believe in his Philosophy and Mentality. Unlike many of our previous (local Coaches), Siasia has a Philosophy. His Team has identity and he's certainly prepared to make a Mark at the Senior Level, but wasn't given enough Chance.

We can't ever be or play like them (Europeans) tactically, hence we should play our own STYLE. Let's sell African Football to the World once again!
reminds me of a commentary of Nigeria vs Argentina in Atlanta 96.. at a point in the second half at 2-2 Nigeria was launching lots of attacks against Argentina and the commentator who from his voice was obviously a foreigner (commenting in English though ) said ' the Nigerians look like the Latins of old'

i think after the WC in 2010 FIFA banned the use of musical instruments.
stupid of fifa to do that.. I guess it was the vuvuzelas that caused it.. now we will no longer hear the Brazilian samba drums playing at the background when they play

they have never jettison it they have just learnt when and how to bring it out of their locker
sebastio lazaroni actually deployed conservative football in Italia 90 and was criticized heavily for it.. same for Carlos perrerra for USA 94.. the only difference was in USA 94 the had romario (and his combination with bebeto).. a lot of Brazilian fans will tell you that the USA 94 team wa boring to them.. they rate the 98 and 2002 teams better

brazilian coaches have learnt to apply some aspects of the european style without jettison the core samba but african coaches still haven't caught on they are still employing the ''oya enter pitch and show yasef'' reasoning in their coaching. whenever have you heard a nigerian or even african coach wow you with their tactical knowledge?
Brazil actually jettisoned the samba in 90 and 94 world cups.. it only made a cameo appearance in 98 and 2002

All na grammar, what do you think made Chelsea to become an elite club in the EPL after so many years in the woods, whether its physicality or athleticism you call it, you have to come with your own style to overcome the present masters of the game, even the Europeans had to come out with a system to counter the samba style of the Brazilians when they were becoming too difficult to beat
which the Europeans effectively ended in Mexico 86

With or without the coach, Spain wouldn't have done much anyway. They are back to the bland Spain that flattered to deceive in the early 90s/2000s.

Lol.... Are the Spanish FA even thinking at all? If your reports are true, then those in the Spanish FA must be drunk... Who will they bring in now? Or they will tell one of the assistants to lead the team just days/several hours to their first game?? cheesy

Hahahahahaha... Na wa ooo

But I knew this Lopetegui announcement by Madrid will be a distraction for the media now to feed off as regards the Spanish team and thus world cup. Just watch out for the headlines JUST IN CASE Spain fails to go as far as expected by their fans...

"Madrid ruin Spanish ambitions" grin

"Silly Perez destroyed our WC chances before it even kicked off"

seems Spanish fa wants to sack their coach Lopetegui just before the world cup starts because of this issue of agreeing to coach for Madrid after the world cup..the coach some weeks ago agreed to extend his Spanish contract to two more years..however reports have that senior players ramos, iniesta have waded in insisting the coach stays for the world cup..

Am I the only one who thinks Morocco will win Portugal?

I don't trust Senegal, their group may be easy, but we have seen stronger contenders crash out of weaker groups. So, I personally think they will not make it out their group

Egypt is heavily reliant on Salah, their biggest issue will be scoring without Salah

Tunisia, those ones blow hot and cold. They won't make it out last last sha

Nigeria, similar to Tunisia, dem no get direction. I am undecided where they stand, Might crash out or top the group
I don't know why I don't trust north African sides no matter how good against an European opposition

Ronaldo has won euros so at least he has won something with the senior national team unlike messi

I just wish we can try En imitate Brazil for a generation of nexuses.

Marcelo developed himself and no coach or manager can bench him save injury. Coz he changed the LB position till date, he and Alves. That's why I like the idea of Idowu getting to be a dribbler. Elderson may be a minus actually. But I expect he does play to instructions. This is his last and I expect he bows out well also. same for Mikel and Onazi wey dey claim 26years of age.
