Dear Nairalanders,

I know my visa is about to expire and I've accepted the fact that no help is coming and no one is coming to save me because everyone has their own battles to fight but I need someone to talk to as I'm depressed, I'm always sad and I can't remember the last time I smiled or even care about anything. I contacted MENTALLYAWARENG and had sessions with them but nothing seems to be working, I've never felt this way in my life. it's okay to feel depressed if things are not going according to one's plan but when it becomes a daily thing then that is the devil at work. I am not talking as a religious buff but depression is a spiritual problem and to overcome it you need a spiritual solution. so please try to create time to spend with God if you are a Christian read the Scriptures even if it's 1 chapter a day and also pray. As a depressed patient I know you are not praying now Infact it's the last thing that will cross your mind but try to do this even if it's for 5 minutes. always call on God to flood your life and heart with His love and peace. pray this when walking, meditating, talking and at all times. do this for 2 weeks and see the difference. most importantly make sure you try to relate with people show interest in them and they will reciprocate it is well with you

I am over 40 too, with 3 kids and by grace a pastor. your wife is 100% from a broken home or the one that the woman is the one wearing the trousers. she never was there with you but for the money and to be sincere pastors will always tell you to be patient and prayerful but the fact is that when will you have peace of mind. I won't tell you to jump into the hands of another woman but you need to simply try and delete her memory from your brain keep on doing whatever you are doing now and gradually come to terms with looking for another woman. Do not wait behind all these people advising you to invest in nigeria are only deceiving you. I'm one of those who believe in better naija and overlooked opportunities to exit and now after 3 kids I am desperate of leaving if not for myself but for my daughters
