Smh. But streets, roads, and monuments have been named after prominent igbos in other regions so what is the big deal? Why are they being so petty about it? *hiss* 20 Likes 2 Shares |
Politics / Re: Amosun And The Burden Of Non Indigenes In Ogun State - By Dr Chris Orie by AshiwajuFoward: 3:07pm On Dec 26, 2017 |
MrMaestro: Na their way. When BAT was putting down structures and machinery in place to increase Lagos IGR, they were deaf and dumb. Only to later start claiming credit when his efforts started yielding fruits. Now they have started claiming credit for Amosun's ingenuity in dramatically increasing the IGR of the state. The million dollar question no one is asking is, why is it that it is only in other people's land their supposed high IGR impact is being felt? Abi dem swear for their states not to also record high IGR from their traders? Or all their state governors are just too incompetent? Na their way. 35 Likes 6 Shares |

lakhadimar: That was how they started with Lagos. I see the same pattern here. They already said in their press release that 'non-indigenes are more than indigenes in Ogun state'. I find that statement very provocative. What population census did they conduct or consult to arrive at that conclusion? This is just a prelude to the sort of crap they've become known for in Lasgidi. They will start circulating this sort of rubbish amongst themselves and gradually before you know it, it will gain traction, they will solely claim credit for 'developing' the state, and Ogun don become they latest 'nomansland' be dat. They can already see that the state is destined for greatness and have started appropriating it's success. When it comes to diplomacy, ibos will always score an F-9. 44 Likes 5 Shares |

lakhadimar: Leave them. No be their fault. Na oversophistcation of Yoruba people I blame. They are already telling us that non-indigenes are more than Yorubas in the SW. Without a doubt, the igbos are the ones promoting such narrative. #Fact. Coz most other ethnicities aren't as uncouth and stvpid as them. Their cup go soon full though. There are more than one way to skin a cat. 46 Likes 6 Shares |

BeautifulSE: Yes o. It is no longer industrialization and payee that are responsible for Ogun state's high IGR but taxes from their traders and gala hawkers. No wonder Onitsha and Aba markets are generating much higher IGR than Ogun with all those plentiful traders to tax. 103 Likes 8 Shares

BeautifulSE: Lol. When you start seeing them quoting and throwing around their spurious and fabricated percentages, know say dem dey up to no good. Na Amosun cause am, since he made one of them a permanent secretary in the state. He really fall my hand cause such precedent emboldens them to start making claims and asking for more. Over-sophistication no go kill our people. 93 Likes 7 Shares |

Again, the Non indigenes are never recognized despite the fact that they accounts for 40% and 60- 70% of the state's IGR when it comes to commerce. Yet these economic growers are not accorded the required recognition in form of reduction in number of taxes they are made to cough out. I no talk am?? I said it that it'll only be a matter of time before these people start claiming that they developed Ogun and account for its high IGR. Na wah oooo. 160 Likes 12 Shares |

MayorofLagos: Igbos are bluffmasters who have become synonymous with empty chestbeating. Their only saving grace is that Yorubas are generally liberals who aren't as emotional and sentimental as they are. Else they won't be able to contain the repercussions in the event that the generality of Yorubas assume a Yoruba vs. Igbo posture over this issue, considering that they are a tribe of nomads. They are just a bunch of whiny jokers. 36 Likes 4 Shares |
