KemoSabe: Compliments people. I'm thinking that's why it's always good to deal directly with world class companies like starlink than third parties. This dude had a problem with his router cable which starlink was supposed to replace. When they found out they had run out of V2 cables, they offered to upgrade him to an entire V3 kit for free. lol
Now that NCC has approved the increase in tariff for all telco companies, we should be looking towards January 1st for new starlink price.
easyyoke: This guy, you dey always amuse me with your comments🤣🤣🤣🤣 Will Prowse debunked as false… By who?😂 Your local government chairman?😂 Before you even knew anything called solar, Will Prowse has been cutting batteries in and out. Even though this your comment has been more than a month, I couldn’t help but laugh😂😂😂 He say na debunked as false. Even Tesla now advise their users whose cars come with LIFEPO4 battery to charge to 100% as Lithium Ion Phosphate chemistry is not the-same as NMC which is the one everyone is advised to charge to 80%. Also, you said “over-charging errors”. What do you think the BMS in your batteries do? This guy😂😂
I love how you quietly skipped the main point I spoke about about the charging and discharge curve, but rather focused on easy trivialities. Charging to full doesn't add any substantial extra minutes to your discharge in LFP tech. And by 100% I mean 3.65v, and not just your BMS or other device telling you 100%. My BMS is set to show 100% at 3.45v
That's not the issue... I've starlink. The issue, the more they delay not getting back to sales, the more we are likely going to get a message that they are leaving Nigerian market. Don't forget that they selling now coz government doesn't want them to increase price, making them to lose in Nigerian market.
The more this isn't resolved, even me and you with starlink may start crying, especially me that have no mobile network where I am and fully depend on starlink.
I want to see starlink return to selling kits and my mind will rest.
If I had known, I may not have gone for it, but the deed is already done. Looks can be deceiving. I think these guys should work more on weight and portability, as some are already doing in the industry.
Are there solar solutions and tech that reduce size of panels? Coz all the big watt panels around Europe I see are still all very big. They can weight 30kg.
mctfopt: Do you have problem running heavy load on the battery? If yes, then BMS failure may likely not be the issue here.
Connection failure may be an issue. Either a panel in series have failed, or PV connection have degraded hence only like half the solar panels you have is at work.
Also do you have grid connected? Does the battery charge with higher amperage than what you have when the sun is out? If you have grid charging much higher than your PV current used to be, then issue may either be breaker failure or PV wire connection issue.
Also before I go, the 13A is it what you see in the Felicity battery display or what you see on the inverter? I'm asking this because if the PV are connected in high voltage, current coming in from the panels will be smaller.
For instance,
P= IV , where I = current and V = voltage
P = 13A X 400V = 5200w
With low voltage you may see something like
P = 34.6A X 150V = 5200w
Same power, just different current and voltage.
Solar Charger watt output are not calculated with panel volts but with charging volts. On a 12v system, if it's charging with 13.5 it'll be 13.5v x amps to get the watts entering battery. Same for 24 and 48v. So 3300w on a 48v charging at 53.0v will have amps of 3300/53 = 62amps
Solar volts displayed are just what is coming from solar before conversion by MPPT
Fouani delivered my solar panel yesterday. Didn't know it was that big and a bit heavy. The kind stunt I pull on okada yesterday, I no fit do am again. I still blame the delivery guys though.
So, I ordered on November 29, and they delivered on December 7, which makes it 9 days.
Location is Osun State.

Lol, the 555kw is huge. I broke 2 panels just transporting them to my rural settlement. Imagine the 650w+
NinjaMetahuman: thanks for not making me waste money this morning
Yes, always read the terms and conditions for tempting offers. It can make you engage and can't come out again.
Temu is a great market though. It's good to have it together with aliexpress. When price favours in dollars you get from aliexpress. When it favours in naira you get from Temu. Temu will succeed in Nigeria
WhatsApp that in my encrypted chat with my friend I sent him pictures of my bad car brakes, and immediately I entered Facebook, Instagram and my broswer, I saw loads of adverts to buy car brakes exactly for my car brand.
Nothing is safe. They'll only tell you their own is safe so that they keep getting ur info and they demonise other messaging platforms coz they don't want them to get what they are secretly getting too.
odimbannamdi: In my case, I foresaw these logistics delays, plus delays in confirming my payment if I pay online, so I decided to go their office at Omole, paid there, and instructed them to deliver the panels to their office at Omole so that I can come pick up there.
Even with this seemingly simple arrangement, it still took a week for them to call me to come pickup.
In Abuja I paid for 10 and got it delivered to my home next day. If they delay for people then it's something to worry about.
Dam5reey1: Been using for over 2 months now, great device. Been recorded review no time to edit
I love that you integrated it to your battery. Cool.
But this device can't read the different cells voltage to know if they ok. I have my Bluetooth bms to show me that, but with coulometer I'll just get online monitor of basic overall battery data
shadeshadow: I downloaded the app yesterday, won 350k coupon in that their spin something, tried to pay and my bank supposedly rejected the payment (When it has never rejected any before) When I tried to pay for the items normally they said N30k minimum price lol.
I sharply uninstalled it. Most of my online purchases are small items. Temu is not it.
The 350k is only after you bought some items. I bought items of 30k to activate the 350k. They still won't give you 350k. It's like 20k discount for orders of 80k+, 50k discount for orders of 140k+, 100k discount for orders 300k+ etc..
fashrola: Temu where their things Dey cost X2 pass AliExpress…..
Oh boy... Today I just bought an obd2 scanner I know quite well is $200 and in Nigeria sold for 400-500k, in temu for it this morning for 158k on black Friday discount.
This is my first ever purchase. And they charged me in naira. I used my Gtb naira card and paid and it went. I'm surprised.
Waiting to see if or how they'll send to Nigeria and Abuja my place. They said it'll take 7-14 days. I bought 6 other items, all this morning from Temu. My first ever use of that app.
You can do anything with any other country but please never with France. We don't need them and they can't offer us anything. Those people are devils who suck on Africans.
Olamak1: Option 2 would probably lead to Speedaf. Option one would end up in Nipost, while option 3, 4 and 5 are "a no-go area"( this is because you could face customs charges)!
NB: Always select "AliExpress Standard shipping" if available.
Wow.. This is very educating. Thanks a lot man.
What if they only have free shipping? Where does their free shipping lead to?
Olamak1: USD card preferably or OPay naira card if you have one!
Home delivery to your Abuja address if the item is shipped by Speedaf logistics. Otherwise, you'd have to visit your nearby post office for a pick up.
In each of the scenarios above, you'd be contacted via phone calls or sms in respect of the item for delivery or a pick up.
This is what I see. Which of them is the speedaf pls? Or it's not all products that offer that option? Most I see is aliexpress standard shipping or free shipping but I don't know how they'll send the free shipping
Xanderone: How do I get the item delivered to my address if you pay for it? Does it mean I'll provide for you the login details of my AE account for you to pay?
Hi, first time Nigerian aliexpress user.
Do they really charge in naira and I can use my naira bank card? Or is it in dollars and I need dollar card?
I put my Abuja address. Will they call me and bring it to my home? Or how do they deliver in Nigeria.
Dam5reey1: Please stop saying this, I have cells I charged to 3.6V for almost a month now, it still ast 3.5V+ and it not producing any heat.
You are definitely not using the battery. Left unused LFP will stay at 3.6v for months if you charge it to that. Lithium doesn't leak voltage like lead batteries.
But if you have it on load (without charging), there's no way it'll stay in 3.6v for a long time. It'll quickly go to it's sitting voltage below 3.4v. That's just how they work.
Xanderone: So I got this Tuya DC meter to test out it's functions. I'd been angry with dem Chinese for not thinking out a way to make a DC meter that works on Tuya platform despite the numerous smart add-ons that they have on that platform. . I present to you, the Tuya Smart DC meter.
Second and fourth pictures are screenshots of some of the functions as it is on my mobile.
Even though with felicity hybrid I use, I can have some online monitoring capacity. But this Tuya meter appears to pack some punches.
I need one please.
Where do you connect it? In the inverter or just the battery negative/positive terminals?
Your LFP doesnt mind being charged to full. Li-ion may have that issue though cos I recall my Samsung phone has a battery protect setting to limit charging to 85%. With that, the charging will never reach 100% full, only stops at 85%. I know Li-ion is used in cell phones.
The man in that video has been debunked as false. If you knew the charging curve of LFP you won't say this. When charging from 3.39v sef to 3.65 is sharp upward line that could take only 3 minutes to attain. When discharging, LFP takes same quick time to move from 3.65 to 3.37 then begins an almost straight but long curve to 2.6 or below. Keeping charge at 3.65v you are not only producing heat but putting it at the high threshold and risking overcharging errors. It's good to keep it far from 3.65v to be save from charger errors, and for LFP, be it 3.4v or 3.65v, it won't take 5 minutes to return it's sitting voltage of 3.31-3.37
I have an extra solar assistant device for sale if interested. I am currently using the raspberry pi 5 version.
It has never been used/activated.
You can also visit their website to know if your device is compatible with it.
I got it for 180usd and that is not inclusive of shipping or tax. However, if you have a reasonable offer, just quote this message and I will respond to whomever gives a satisfactory bid.
