Starlink signed regulatory policies and if they can't keep up with it, they can pack and go. Price increase should be approved and whatever price they set is the least of my issue.

I don't care about the price. I know many individuals that pay more that that monthly. I can't use it because it's a CGNAT and I don't like their implementation because they use semi-static blocks of ports for connection. I was paying about 1k USD for ISP over 15 years ago and wouldn't have issue paying same today. You also don't have to tell lies to prove a point. The reason for the waitlist is clearly stated on their website, any other reason you're giving is your opinion.
Concentrate on your last mile connections which was what I did 20 years ago. People will appreciate you for that.

That I'm doing business with it is just the last point I made, and you ignore the first point which is that we live in a bush where there's no mobile mtn, glo, airtel, Etisalat or anything at all. There site literally says lite blue means there's capacity and dark blue means no capacity. 90% of Nigeria is on light blue but still says no capacity and that's simply because it's not about capacity. I'm sure you didn't know it's not only Nigeria. Benin Republic has no dark blue yet entire country is on no capacity until they introduced gen 3. Entire west Africa from Nigeria to Sierra Leone was like that with no capacity because they had yet to bring in gen 3 to West Africa. Today all of them have gen 3 and services restored, except Nigeria.

Again, November/December they literally sent an email to everyone saying their service will be interrupted in Nigeria till they settle with NCC. It's literally there. May be you didn't get the mail. So I won't blame you of lying as you blame me.

Unify enterprise level access points don't offer 4x4 mi-mimo on all frequencies. They do on 6ghz and 5ghz but hardly do on 2.4ghz which, truth be said, is what 90% of clients will use since only 2.4ghz travels far. Mine has 4x4 on all frequencies.

Also there enterprise level access point is boasting of just 140m square of coverage when my Grandstream offers 282,000m square. That's literally 2000 times better.

Unify, as a big name, are super costly when you can get Grandstream cheaper and does 2000 times better. Grandstream is an American company. Not Chinese incase you tempted to say Chinese make cheaper and less quality.

Thing is, I would be moving to a new apartment this weekend (about 7km from my current place) and I wanted to know if I could change my service address and retain my current residential plan. That business plan is not for "elite" people like me abeg.

I think you can as long as you are privileged to still be in residential.

Advice: the day you are about to move, set the address to the new place from your present location and see if it works. If it doesn't work, then you just take it to the new place like that. 7km could still keep you connected to your account.

You are getting it all wrong again. US has never been congested for starlink. Only parts of US are congested, not USA. Don't confuse part with whole.
If entire Nigeria is indicated as congested on their site it tells you the reason isn't about congestion but something else. So as not to speculate Starlink Nigeria literally confirmed they are pausing their service for conflict reasons with NCC. You don't need to cook up another reason apart from that which they confirmed.

In same message to Nigerian they said if it isn't resolved they could terminate their service in Nigeria (which I know isn't gonna happen though). But it's you who is also being selfish. Some of us live in forests without mobile network. We will do anything to pay for starlink to come online. If its 38k for all, we are happy, but if 75k is only way out to help me get Internet like everyone, then I'm ready to pay that too. I just don't want starlink getting pissed off and leaving Nigeria and I'm offline while you just simply switch to mtn coz you've options.
You are also being selfish for wanting someone's business to fail because you want cheap prices. He's not the one depreciating your naira. How can he run his business with $20 per client when in other places it's $43 or even $150 for Europe. unify anytime any day. But I like d flexibility. I have had some running for yrs # difft site covering guests up to 60 users.

One unify access point ran 60 clients concurrently and it was smooth? Would love to know which particular access point did that. Most unify and tp-link omada will start to slow down especially as they are only 2x2 mimo or max 3x3. They are not enterprise level access points. You can't use them in a large setting like a stadium of thousands of people.

My Grandstream is 4x4 mi-mimo. Can theoretically take 500+ clients at a go, though the highest I've seen mine take is 72 clients at a go with smooth experience for all.

Unify is great for hotels where many won't be connected at same time to one access point. But not for a public commercial use that could draw 100s of users to one access point.

Its not the big names like unify or omada, but this is an unpopular access point that is enterprise grade which I doubt any omada or unify is. I used it to replace my omada outdoor which was making my clients complain every time when only 20 people connect simultaneously.

If the NCC told them to stop accepting new subscribers that will be a good move, because the service is subpar compared to other countries so adding more subscribers will make it worse. The last time I checked you have to be on a waitlist which is common when they're out of capacity.

If I knew the native language you spoke I'll type in it and repeat that starlink didn't stop receiving new subscribers because of over capacity but because of NCC price regulations that doesn't favour them. Starlink charges all African countries $43 which is 75k today of which we are lucky coz outside Africa it's $130 montly. NCC forcing them to maintain 38k which is $22 or so isn't good for their business.

An entire country can't be over capacity. Only cities and particular areas based on the congestion of many users in that one spot.
Right now, even Sambisa forest can't sub for starlink and maybe there's only 1-3 starlinks there used by Boko haram. That usage can't put borno over capacity.

Its only about price regulations and that's all.

Good, I also experienced this as soon as I switched, here is what I did to solve the problem;

1. Tweet @AirtelNigeria on X or whatever their handle is laying your complaint about the poor network connection.

2. They'll send a dm, make sure u're following their handle, in the dm describe the nature of ur problem, if they ask u to send ur number so they can look from their end, tell them it's a general issue with ur area that u would like to fill out the form with full details of ur area e.t.c

3. If they give u the list, it's usually like 10 things to fill out, just provide the details and in 2 days u should be blasting at full speed. I only had to do this once and for like 3 months now no issues at all.

Mind you I have recommended 3 people to try this out too and fortunately it worked for them. I hope it works for you.

Many of us can't switch from enjoying 200-350mbps speed to airtel's 20mbps that's not guaranteed.

In my place, I sell 100mbps to neighbours and still have about 150mbps to myself. I make around 400k monthly selling that 100mbps to people. Wetin I go do with airtel slower speed.

What did the NCC do? Starlink is oversubscribed and it only makes sense to stop accepting new subscribers. They are actively working on their ground station & PoP. Unnecessary hype about the Gen3 kits, no significant difference in terms of speed. After the expansion, things will improve.

The problem is not about over sub.... They themselves confirmed it's because of NCC that are not letting in new subscribers

Even at 75k, starlink has no competition in terms of value of money and service.

Also, never you say starlink can't go. They themselves said it in their dezember message to everyone that if the NCC does not come up to a good compromise with them, they will leave the Nigerian market.

My starlink got spoilt after a heavy rainfall last month.I complained to them about a month ago and they said they would send a replacement. The replacement was supposed to be delivered today and now they have changed it to the end of April.
Is there anyway I can fast track the delivery?That will make it 2 months without the starlink internet.

Starlink has introduced Gen3 V4 kit to the Nigerian market, but yet to open up residential registration. Only those in areas where business plans are still available for registration can get it for now.

The NCC needs to come to a compromise with Starlink soon, this thing has dragged long enough.

Guys be very careful with all this shattered glass solar panels. They discard them for a reason. Some people may have been using them for years here, well, I don't joke with myself and properties.

The money saved in buying them is not worth the risk.

But I didn't buy them shattered. I bought them brand new, and while transporting to far location on bad road with ups and down, 2 panels shattered out of 10. I used the 8 clean one. The other 2 are still producing power. I don't want to waste them when I've extra inverter, extra controller I can throw the two shattered ones into to help me get the value of the money I spent on them. Can't throw 260k away like that. They can serve me for 5-8 yrs if I'm lucky.

Thanks.. They are actually both jinko 555w but but have shattered glass. One is producing 250w, don't know about the other yet. Both being shattered at different degrees I only thought they will now have different volts and current production. I want to join both together for a setup. I can still use them for some years.

I need advice here.

I've 2 jinko 555w panels that broke when I was transporting them to far location. Both have cracks or shattered glass, but still together.
For 6 months now I've been using one of the shattered jinko panel to power just one fridge of 160w. The panel produces 250w max since coz of the crack. I've never added the 2nd one. It's just laying somewhere.

I want to add the 2nd one to the first to see it i can get 500w combined from both.

What's the best way you suggest I connect them to get the wattage out of both panels? Series or parallel? Take note, due to cracking in various degrees, they won't produce equal voltage or current.

They'll be connected to 60a mppt felicity charger, two 12v 200a gel batteries (I've 12v 172ah lithium as alternative) and to this yeye inverter wey de mek fridge noise for night.

Any professional advice pls.
Pls don't tell me to go buy new panels.

Starlink now available in Niger and it's the Gen3 V4. The residential plan costs approximately 82k in Naira. Hopefully, by the time NCC approves their price review, it won't cost up to that.

We need this approved in Nigeria so badly. Imagine Niger and still they ban Nigerians from buying starlink coz we still using old starlink.
