VISTIN:So because of the extra N700or N1,000 you would have paid, you decided to wait along the road to enter the vehicle of a stranger just to pay peanuts. Insead of you even burying your head deep in prayers not to fall victim of ritualist, you were busy doing tatafo and refereee. Most 419 victims and SOME ritualist victims happens due to mere greed and impatience. |

adeoladele:First and foremost, that country might lack those things you listed above but do they have the spending power to solve their needs. One thing is to see what they lack, another thing is for their economy to be viable enough to enable the government and citizens afford these opportunities when provided to them. Well, i.can be of help with the letter of invite to invest but will need to know one or two things to enable to get them more intrested to invest in that country. |

Open Letter To MTN Regarding Visafone's Take Over And Current Operations https://www.nairaland.com/3126560/open-letter-mtn-regarding-visafone |
giftadene:Comprehension is a BIG problem with today's generation. Who have a problem with MTN buying over Visafone. I have been using my MTN line since the very month they launched in Nigeria over a decade ago. My problem is the unprofessional way they plan to take over. When Mucrosoft took over Nokia, Facebook over Whatsapp, Google over Youtube and many others. Did you notice the change in operation of the new management? You can hardly even tell. We Africans are just too backwards. |
mightyfada:That's for the correction. Emeka Offor if i am not mistaken had a telco company that covered the south east then. Is O'net in Lagos as well? |
mightyfada:Is O,net not Emeka Offor's company? |
titi4fola:Whoever the consultant is that did the strategy for the take over did a very terrible job for MTN. Their trying to make subscribers migrate to the MTN network/brand is a very terrible mistake. Now imagine you and hundreds of thousands of other subscribers migrating to other wifi providers. Making their recharge card scarce was a poor decision. |
tulipsmadra:Sad thing is Visafone had the BEST and CHEAPEST network. Nothing like call drops all through the years i used the 3lines. MTN should thread softly. |
giftadene:I should now purchase a GSM phone isn't it? When in reality i had in mind i need a CDMA network. Who in this present day have extra funds for unreasonable demands that could have readily been avoided? Well na dem sabi. |
mightyfada:How many CDM will i use in my life time in Nigeria? I have used in the past Intercellular, Multilinks, Celtel, Starcomms and now Visafone. Realize that all company brochures and materials have already had on them on these numbers. |
4llerbuntu:Coming from an old nairaland menber i would have expected you to be more mature and intelligent to have contributed better. This is the problem of Nigeria and Nigerians. We think even as customers we have absolutely no say just because we aren't the owner of the business. MARK MY WORD TODAY, Visafone will not last 6months and MTN will REGRET their investment in that company because people like you on their management team will rather turn a deaf hear that take criticism. |
yomalex:I will rather throw away my three lines than migrate to MTN. |
Mods, i am still very surprise you haven't seen the need to put this below thread on the frontpage. You need to own a functional Visafone line especially for your business to have a feel of what subscribers are currently passing through. bizgenius1:What do yu mean by "any visafone for sale?" The line or the recharge card? I believe both have now gone extinct in Nigeria. |
hpk:Missing is an UNDERSTATEMENT. They had the BEST and CHEAPEST call rates in the Nigeria Telecoms Industry. I think poor marketing and target line was what cause Jim Ovia to sell it to MTN. |
Mynd44, please can you assist? millions of people are currently facing difficulties with the new Visafone operation. Nonavailability of the recharge cards amongst others. |
Please who can help push this to frontpage? |
Good day MTN Management, I will like to go straight to the point regarding your new operation of Visafone Nigeria after your taking over of the company sometime last year. As much as I commend your acquiring of the company and having the foresight to look into acquiring a reputable company like Visafone who was dominating the CDMA market in Nigeria after others went down the drain due to lack of vision, good management and putting customer’s needs into consideration there are concerns of mine I will like to state in the paragraphs below. When the news of your acquiring the company came into limelight to the general public late last year, I was hoping the MTN management wouldn’t fall into the mistake of previous telecoms providers especially those in the CDMA sector, but unfortunately, as it seems to play out each day MTN are likely to make the same mistake. Or how else will you explain making the Visafone recharge card absolutely scarce or should I say totally non-available? The Visafone recharge card seem to have totally gone extinct thereby making customers abandon their Visafone lines. Afterall, of what use is the phone and network if you can’t make calls to customer / clients / business associates on it. Again, I will like to bring to the knowledge of the MTN / Visafone management that MAJORITY of subscribers of the Visafone (general CDMA) are corporate entities / organizations who are in need of a “corporate number” i.e. the “01” (For Lagos) and “09” (Abuja) and for other states respectively. Being someone who has been in the business world for over a decade, I know that there’s a very clear difference in professionalism of having a corporate number i.e 01-1234567 as against 08031234567. Companies with official corporate cdma numbers are taken more seriously than those with the GSM numbers. So the need for allowing Visafone subscribers retain their “01” number is of extreme importance as any change to this will see a drastic drop in your subscriber base especially from corporate organizations and entrepreneurs alike. Should I also bring to your notice that doing away with table top phones in place of only mobile phones is a total mistake the MTN Management is about to embark on. Why should corporate businesses and serious entrepreneurs have to put their “official” phones into their handbags and suitcases? It is a corporate line and at such should be left in the office. With the competition in the GSM market amongst the 4 major telecommunications network, I sincerely hope MTN is not planning of introducing Visafone to bring products and services to compete with its other competitors because if this happens, it clearly spells doom for the company. Visafone if well planned should concentrate on SOLELY the CDMA network and target on grabbing at least 80% of the CDMA market share in Nigeria which from all indications is very possible. I will confidently tell you that this is possible as I have clearly thought of this and have mapped out feasibility studies to achieve this. Now, as it appears, Visafone has been known to have the cheapest call tariff in the entire telecoms industry. What is MTN’s plan of maintaining such or are they planning to restructure the Visafone tariff to meet the GSM industry? These are things that should be clearly and urgently looked into to avoid any major corporate setback or mistake. This letter is coming in from a concerned subscriber who has 3 Visafone lines for my businesses and have introduced well over 10 clients to the CDMA service thereby seeing them purchase several Visafone lines for their businesses. I sincerely hope this issues are critically looked into and tackled where need be so that the heavy amount used in acquiring the Visafone company doesn’t go down the drain. Concerned Visafone User |
I have no regret saying I have tossed several hundreds if not thousands of CVs into the trash can because of this same act. If you want to reduce the number of applicants applying for a vancant job. Just insist it should be sent alongside a cover letter (hand written or typed) and you just have to sit, relax and watch graduates goof away. Once someone starts a chat, text or email using short text, I discard them immediately. SOME SHORT TEXT THAT CAN MAKE SOMEONE THROW UP: Jux - Just Yels - yes Tho - Though Tof - Tough Con3- country amongst many other silly ones. |

marvis5:No matter where you are located in Nigeria, I will advice you divide the money into 3 and spend it accordingly: buy a land (either direct from the genuine land owners or a trusted property company). Buy Stocks (shares). Register with a genuine stock broker and buy trusted shares like (Zenith, First Bank, Cadbury and others. SAVE THE REST. NEVER EVER SPEND FOR THE IMMEDIATE AND EVENTUALLY SUFFER LATER. DON'T ALLOW PEER PRESSURE AND SOCIETAL MOCKERY ABOUT YOUR FINANTIAL STATUS PUT YOU ON UNNECESSARY PRESSURE. YOU ARE STILL VERY YOUNG AND NEED TO START PLANNING YOUR FUTURE. |
I have gotten to realize that even though buying directly from omo onile might have its own disadvantage as one will be extorted while developing the property, it seems to be a better option than buying from most of these real estate development companies. Imagine paying over a million for a property only to discover the allocation of plots won't be done earlier than 10months from now and development on that estate won't equally start in the next 24months. The only reason why people still patronize these companies is just to avoid omo onile stress. I am equally looking for plots around that region direct from family owners (omo onile). I have sent out my request to an agent. Anyone with a Genuine and Good offer should get in touch. |
Does anyone have this car? |
baaliyah:Yes! Preventing people like you from posting numbers when you readily know you don't have such product only to demand for mobilization fee to sort for it. |
