Hi Pals,

Just got denied a visit visa. The refusal reason was that I don't have enough fund. The real problem here is that they made a serious mistake. I submitted a bank account statement with a balance of 200,000+ USD (U.S. Dollars) but they stated in the rejection letter that I only have 200,000 NGN (Naira).

I also submitted a letter of explanation but it seems they didn't even read my letter. The bank statement clearly stated "United States Dollars" not Naira.

Please advise on how I can appeal the refusal.

U have a great chance to strike them and get ur visa... write a strong letter that's gonna hit them hard and if you can't, look for a lawyer to strike them with a strong letter, don't loose the opportunity...

Don't submit yet... how many days do you plan staying in UK that ur spending 720gbp, do everything to reduce the cost of ur trip . However, How much is ur monthly pay and may I know your account balance? Remember pounds in now 545/1GBP in the parallel market.

Since you have CAC certificate, then I want to believe you'd have a bank account in the name of your group and how much have u in the bank account?. Selfie doesn't mean anything or better still look for sponsors.

Overcacu dey worry u... how many days r u gonna be staying in the UK? Work inline with the schedule dates, both ur hotel and flight to avoid wahala for yourself@ POE.. You need the hotel address for just the POE, once you enter UK, if you have money stay in the hotel for one day if not, go flenjor with ur family friend. Shikenna

I'll be travelling to the UK for the 1st time in a couple of days. On my visa application form, I booked a hotel. But a family friend has asked me to stay with them so as to save me the cost of staying in a hotel. Will be this an issue at the POE when I fill in her address in my landing card?

It will be an issue, did u declare in ur visa application that you shall be staying with a family friend? If No and you have already cancelled the hotel booking, you had better make another hotel booking for that date of arrival so you won't have issues at the POE. Cos the info on ur landing card must not be different from what you wrote in ur visa application. Don't kobalize urself.

Hello Gurus in the house, I had a two years UK visa which has expired. I used this visa twice and on the last occassion, i mistakenly over stay for a period of 9months and at the point of exit, the officer told me that I will only be given a punishment of 1yrs ban but I have not apply since my return two years ago.

My question now is that If I apply now, is there possibility that I will be given the punishment now or it has already pass since I havent apply since two years ago. Also, if I apply, do I stand any chance of getting the visa again?

9 months is Damn much really, i'd advice you stay way for now until u have established ur self here.. better still, look for another country for now if you must travel. But you can give it a try but be ready to answer lots of questions.

Request for your statement from 01 July to first week December, 5months+ would still fly... but not encourging you or anyone.

Please I would like to know if a bank statement has to show 6 months salary payment or it should only be 6 months transaction history?

Reason is because the small company I'm working once paid my salary via cash deposit and right after that it had been paid via company bank transfer and I don't want the cash deposit to reflect when I'm printing out my bank statement when it's time to apply for a UK visa

I make an average of 250k to 300k Monthly after expenses.

Please don't kill them ooo, just as Oga Justwise have said that your monthly take home is too minute considering the cost to you personally asper UK visa, try increase the salary to like 120-130, let the salary come via transfer from your employer's account into your salary account which you wouldn't be using for many other transactions... you can open a separate account for sarewa transactions. Landed prop, investment cert, arrange payslips let it show tax deduction, and many other docs u can gather to show u have ties in Nigeria.

How much do u make monthly? 2000 is 3much kilode, ... look for cheaper hotel, do you pay tax? How long have you been running the business?

I don't really like seeing people fall in this kind of situation, if you had read this forum carefully, you'd realize that I clamour that if you claim to be a salary earner, make sure your salary comes from a verifiable source and not by hand. Can I ask you how much you have in ur account when you applied? Those people want easy job, they automatically know the company does exist if your salary is being paid from that company's account, you know why I said that, they knew banks would hve done various verification and would have gotten some document from customers to affirm that the company does exist before opening any company's account. Just take ur time to run ur account and use the same company, I just don't want you to waste money on reapplication. Take ur time to run ur account well. But let's hear what our oga have to say OK!.

Your company is less than a year... Nil will be written on it.

Japanboy, UK application looks hard to couple but very simple once you can provide what is required. You shot yourself in the leg by not providing the following-

1. Business registration CAC
2. Tax Clearance Certificate
3. An account that carries MAybach & co
4. No link inform of transfer from MAybach account to your personal to prove you have access, tht 1million u claimed you receive as ur monthly pay doesn't come from the MAybach account.
5. No letter from the bank which states you are the sole signatory to the accounts.
6. Receipts and invoices were not submitted.
7.Marriage certificate and child birth certificate

Submitting any fake document from the above listed might get you into serious trouble, Go with ur two statement of accounts to the FIRS office around you for tax evaluation... pay your company tax and personal tax.. it's gonna be expensive but try to pay accordingly, don't let anyone deceive you to pay less amount, they have experts in the embassy who knows how to calculate tax, Your tax must commensurate with your claimed income. Once you can get all these docs right, you can get any visa @ any embassy with your documents. Don't hesitate to ask more question on here. May God help you.

My question now is, the church program that im going For is on the 24th next month, can i apply again explaining the funds in my account with a cover letter, will it look to desperate if i reapply now again, or should i just leave it till further notice.
