This is just desperate, why would you need a letter from your company to explain that the payslip is genuine? The embassy deals with thousands of payslips and will know a dodgy one when they see it

Ok Boss.

He has to do that just to avoid stamping his pay slip?

What do you think is wrong with having your company's stamp or signature on your payslip?

After endorsing the payslips, he should also back it up with a letter

There is nothing wrong having stamps on on payslip, it's just funny sometimes when BdHC denies genuine applicants over silly issues but I am 85% sure once he corrects the mistakes and back it up with necessary letters, it will end in praises... but they can be funny at times, they might say the applicant's payslips were endorsed based on request.....

This got me confused. With my three years experience working in the public sector, they have never stamped or signed my pay slip.We just receive the pay slip.I intend to apply in 2weeks time, hope this won't be a problem?

That's incredible, I'd advice you to never sign nor stamp ur payslip, return it back to them like that and explain that you have been working with the company for over years and your payslip has never been signed nor stamped... all u need is meaningful explanation and include all the payslip you have with you, from when you have been working... if the ECO is indoubt, he or she should take his time to verify with ur employer... You can also get a letter from ur work place for clarification.

Hotel reservation for two for 13nights is 177k
Living cost for two 150k
Total is 667k

Would you advise I reduce the living cost? To about 100k or less?

Why not reduce the 13night to like 7night That will also reduce ur cost of trip and also will help ur application...

I have asked my company to make all salary payment via bank transfer.... but was told it will show the company's name like XYZ company August salary... If I have to wait for another 6month then it's gonna be February before I can reapply... but there should be a way to convince the ECO about salary being paid in cash abi wetin u think nah...

Bless you.

That a lot bro, I actually wanted to advice u not to change your date at all, finish up what u wanna do and fly back home as this is ur first trip, remember "first impression last longer" oyinbo people can be funny at times. Ur free to visit another time so no need of extension. U can get another ticket with that 160+ and stay for more than 10 days next time. Safe trip bro.

@askari01

How far?

Please don't feel dejected. I was issued after 6 Rejections. Just do as advised here and you'll be very fine. The ECOs are only doing their jobs and don't care how many rejections you've had. Until you get it right, no visa.

And for all those who think rejection stamp is a bad signal. You're very wrong. In my own opinion it gives you a better chance as long as you're consistent and realistic in your application.

God bless.

Thanks jare My brother, I dey feel u and Ogreen, we suppose dey rock JD together now but all glory to God. I am coupling my docs so I can apply in december... I have told my boss to pay my salary from the company's account... and I can apply next year Feb. Enjoy ur trip bro and greet Jose Mourinho for me... cheers

I got my 6 months visa today after being refused last month.
Thanks to everyone in this forum who have contributed one way or the other. I took my time and read from the first page of this thread to avoid asking unnecessary questions and it really paid off. I can actually pass for a visa agent with the wealth of knowledge I gained here. *wink*

Special Thanks to Justwise for taking your time to answer questions here patiently. May God bless you immeasurably. I really learnt a lot.
Thanks to Iblaw for responding to my enquiry.
Would also like to acknowledge 3sha4lyf for the wonderful format for cover letter to the ECO.

What was the reasons given by the ECO that lead to last month refusal and what did you do to get ur visa from them? Let us learn from ur experience.

30 working days is a long time oooo.

I don't knw how fast the fast-track service is. (anyone who has used dis service shud enlighten us).

For the first refusal point, by now you can address it properly. What about the second point, 1.8m deposit, wch you explained wt paper evidence but they still weren't convinced. Will ur second application shed more light on this deposit wt a stronger evidence? If not, you shudnt re-apply soon till months later wn it won't reflect. If you re sure you can, then re-apply.

Someone already suggested u shudnt use ur salary account for the car sales proceeds and others personal huge payments, this is key.

Thanks Ogreen, I won't apply now, would wait till December, cos I don't want to waste money again, that was just an eye opener.... would contact my HR that I want to split my leave periods to like 15 days and also take the rest without pay in Dec. What do u think?

Thanks man.

Rejection should motivate you to try again and do better. I will advise you build your salary account for another 6 Months. I know it is not in your power to decide how your employer should pay your salary, but it will do you a lot of good if you can liaise with your HR manager on this subject. 200k is fantastic and that sums up to N1.2M in another 6 Months.

Avoid using your salary account for other transactions, build it for the visa purpose alone. Same thing I am presently doing. I will avoid even a deposit of 100k until I get this visa. All deposit into my salary account must come directly from my company's account.

No wahala, No rushing, I will get the value for my money the next time I reapply. But it's just sad that I have started my leave already, I applied for the 30 working days leave Becos of this trip, i've gotten my leave allowee already... Infact right now I feel like going back to work asap. What do u advice?

The reasons given are fair grounds for refusal, or do you have any dispute about the ECO's decision?

But Not all the payment was made in CASH Deposit, Some were paid via bank to bank transfer, in , May, July and August..... The finance department pays via bank transfer if we are on Site , but when not on site, I get my cheque, cash in the bank and remit into my account to avoid delays.

My suggestion:
1. Ask your company Finance dept to write a letter stating why your salary is paid into your account as cash deposit
2. 6 months statement is required
3. You can get started with this link and follow this thread daily to learn more. https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome

Iblaw, Are you saying I should get a letter from the finance department too, Will it help my application if I reapply or I should try next time ? can someone do fast track in VI?

Your application leaves the ECO with little choice than to deny you a visa, cash payment with no paper evidence and 1.8M transferred into your account again without paper evidence to support the source.

So what should I do, I gave all the explanation and I submitted all the papers to back the funds up. What's ur advice justwise? Should I write a clarification letter and also get a letter from the finance department to clear these?

Missdodo:

Sorry about the decision of the ECO and I can see why you are upset, everything seemed perfect but sometimes, they try to harass first time applicants with their annoying refusal templates. I fear you will be refused again if you re-apply until that 1.8m goes away (as you didn't show evidence of the land purchased, or did I miss that part?) and if that can be explained, what about the non compliance with other immigration laws, i.e. lack of travel history? and then the salary payment? My 2 cents is that you visit another country, preferably a common wealth, North American country or scheghen. build a travel history, use the title documents for the land purchased as ties to home and get pay slip which shows all the deductions such as tax, pension, nhf e.t.c. paying taxes sort of establishes ties to the country.

Thank you miss dodo, where have u been all these while? Well ur welcome back, as per my application, I did what I could to explain the source of the 1.8million, I included the Deed of Sales of the land purchased, Infact I received the funds on the 10th and purchased the said land on the 13th, we started work on the land immediately so as to avart all these omo onile issue, so the 1.8 left my account in the Said Month. I believe the ECO didn't study the application properly, if he does, He would have seen that I have traveled in 2010 to SA N Ghana, I also have 3 SA visa that I didn't use because my former employer wouldn't approve my leave. I submitted my payslip which shows all u have mentioned.

I explained in the additional information section, I told them I bought 2 cars for my self and wife as a surprise but my wife adviced we sell them to purchase a landed property which we sold to someone who remmited the funds into my account and we bought a parcel of land. I gave the bill of lading, for the 2 cars and I also gave the sales of agreement for the vehicles with the application..."""""

but the 1.8million was paid out, to buy a land....this was explained with evidence. Wouldnt this suffice. Just wondering oooo
If poster explained his other source of income very well, that is the car business, the cars sale shudnt be an issue, even tho its a lot higher dan what he earns.

I tire ooo Ogreen... all these are just flimpsy excuses, I am just a worker in the company not a member of the board, if my company pays cheque, or cash, or bank transfer, who am I to tell them don't pay cash, the koko is that I get paid. Should I ask our finance department for a letter explaining all these?

My brother, I understand your plight, especially when you think you are over qualified and will definitely return back to your work and family after the visit.

I submitted 27th August, four days before you did and no response yet.

@Askari01, Truly I personally don’t feel comfortable with your company paying your salary in cash.

I have a company (Small Business Owner) and I can tell you even the peanut paid to the company’s reception is drawn directly from the company's account to her own personal account and is described as I.e. (January 2015 Salary)

You shot yourself in the leg in your case, because while the VO is evaluating/accessing your company, so many factors are considered. No serious company will pay Monthly salary of 200k in cash.

Though I am yet to get my visa, but I have learnt a lot from Nairaland Travel Section the major reason why applicants are refused visa which is based on finances, no doubt.

Lesson: If you are a first time applicant, or you’re yet to get positive result, please avoid using statement of account that has unexplainable deposit.

If you have a transfer of say 2M which cannot be explained, please wait until after 6 Months when it will not reflect in your statement of account because yon won't be there to defend those lump sum when the VO is accessing your application.

As a business owner, ensure your Monthly wages/Salary is paid at every month into your personal bank account drawn from the company’s account. You can instruct your bank to describe the transfer as I.e. (January 2015 Salary) This will reflect in your statement of account and be visible to the VO.

Chances are that you will be granted a UK visa without hassle if your statement of account is unquestionable and looks great

Thanks... I really understand you... but our company pays either via cheque or bank transfer, if we are not on site, they pay via cheque and we can cash at the bank and pay into out accounts, and if we are working on site, we receive our salary via bank transfer... atleast 3 salaries out of the Six months were paid via transfer and 3 were cheques cashed at the bank and I used my company's to pay in. The salary payments shows xyz Ltd march salary, both the cashed cheque payment N bank transfer.
