Hmmmm. I also got a refusal mail after 9weeks with lots of discrepancies. The refusal mail made reference to the statement I uploaded which did not show I’m a salary earner as on my application form (ECO Bank SOA): I don’t have an ECO BANK acc, I uploaded a different bank acc. I applied to visit the UK for 6days, the refusal letter quoted that I applied for a 15days visit to the UK, I attached a Leave advice from my office, the ECO in the refusal mail said I ought to get a letter from my POW to confirm I ll be on vacation at the period.

My GWF NO: was not even quoted on the refusal mail. I guess the ECO was not sure of the one he/she was treating at the time so decided not to quote it.

My application was on 21st of June 2022 it is a standard uk visit visa and am traveling alone. I am thinking of sending a paid mail to them and also sending a letter written by my lawyer through DHL to the British embassy in Lagos. I will enclose my first passport in 2010 data page and the visa page and my recent application, my university in Nigeria certification that I graduated in 2009 .What do u think? What other option do u think I can employ. The lawyers I contacted in the uk are asking for huge some and I can’t afford it. Exploring local options please am open to suggestions

You dont need a UK lawyer... Sit down and write a self explanatory letter or look for a lawyer that can write good English , state all the errors the ECO made in your application which would show that your application was not carefully treated. send to complaint email and await response. check on here for the email ... very easy... dont panic.

Before I sold the land in feb I had bout 2.3 after selling the land I had about 22m which I bought a car for my wife and and did an investment for 6.5 which all receipts and certificate of investment where included in my application.

Finally I applied with a balance of 2.420 in June

You just used the land money to kill ur application, if the money stayed in ur account till when u wanted to apply , the ECO might think its savings . but u received large sum of money in ur account and you later bought car and investment of 6.5... You shot ur self on the Leg ni...There is no need to boost ur account when u already had 2.3 in the account. perfect ur account withing the next few months , pay urself 400k salary, spend 120-150 each month and worry less about boosting yout account ... with 1.5m you can get ut visa if ur account is perfectly done.

Yes, 7th week. I sent a paid mail yesterday and the feedback stated no decision made yet which is taking longer than expected. It's a Direct Airside Transit through UK and taking forever, can I withdraw my passport since I have other means.

Give it till next week and send another paid mail, if decision has been made then no wahala .

Got a refusal letter this morning, to me the is no reasonable reason for the refusal as all large deposit was stated in My cover letter with receipt of my land I sold mid February

So sorry R Ogundipe. U should know better that any form of payment made into ur account would raise eye brow...May i ask you how much you had before you sold your land and how much was your account balance when you applied? Lets start from there pls

I just received my passport with my visa approved. This is a renewal.

Biometrics at Ikeja - 29th June 2022
Application transferred and received by DMC - 6th July 2022.
sent a paid mail and received a response on the 26th of July. The response was decision has been made and i should await receipt of my passport within 10 working days.
Application transferred and received by VAC - 1st of August 2022
Passport picked up by DHL - 1st of August 2022
Passport delivered by DHL - 2nd August 2022.

Documents submitted
Letter of introduction from my office
offer letter from my employer
6 months' pay-slip
6 months bank statement (about 1m balance).
Also had joint bank statement for me and my husband (57m and $30k)
flight and hotel reservation
marriage certificate

Surprisingly, i applied together with my husband but no update at all on his. He also opted for keep my passport.
i sent a paid mail on his behalf and the response was that a decision has been taken. Not sure when they will request for his passport.
Has anyone experienced this before? We always apply together for our previous visas and received back on the same day. This renewal is quite different.

So far there's no refusal mail as regards his application... babu wahala... send paid mail that you are awaiting passport request. they will sure tell u what to do .

If i am the ECO... I wont give you the visa... you liquidated 3million and the balance in ur account as of when u applied was the 3million and another 280k+ in ur account.... You receive 400k monthly salary since 2020 but no savings. it wont fly... Keep your 3month in ur account for the next 6months... Try work and receive 400k for another 6 month and ensure no other funds into the account other than your salary, Then pick another location in Central London where theres much tourist centers and then reapply ... My opinion ooo.

Received a response on the paid mail i sent last night.
Biometric date was June 29.
The response - Decision has been made. wait 10 working days to get a response from the VAC to review your passport or have it delivered to you.

Has anyone had this kind of mail? How long did it take to receive one's passport? Will this exceed the 10 working days they have stated?

Any idea will be appreciated.

They replied , stating that a decision has been made . I should wait for 10 working days.

My question is this : Do they keep to thier words because I have an exam on the 11th of August.

Send paid mail to them requesting for a complete message, that the reasons for refusal was not sent ... if you had sent a paid mail before , reply by attaching the message sent to you and explain.

Biometrics on 24th of May, two paid mails, previous uK visa and yet decision had no been made.

Decision should have been made on May 24th Application since ur 7th week falls on 12th July... (Dont quote me ), when last did you send email... You dont need to keep sending paid email, just reply the last response you got from the first message thru your email. Seems someone mentioned he got a decision made message for May 23rd... i think its iretiogo1 or so. But dont panic.

next tomorrow which is 20th July... Just my own permutation ooo, Pls don't quote me ooo. If you dont get a refusal mail between 6th - 7th weeks excluding saturday n sunday... you may relax ur nerves and start looking for cheap tickets.... Dont waste funds by sending paid mail when ur application is just 4-5th weeks, wait till 7th week .

You should reapply but not asap. File for your company's annual returns,( I used my lawyer cos too many quacks).. It wont cost much. Tell tge person filling for you to kill them with emails until the status changes to ACTIVE...

After that, Print your companys account and your salary account to show the source of your salary... Then include a self explanatory letter. thats all you needed. Your salary is cool. your monthly expenses is cool if you are single but stylishly low if married and have kids, your budget is very good.

Hello all, can someone pls help me make sense of this.
Family of 3 did biometrics 16th of May
14th June, 1 passport delivered Visa granted.
After several complaints and paid mail, was told on the 5th of July that decision has been made on the remaining 2 applications l, that visa was issued on the 1st and 4th of July respectively.
13th of July collection mail for 1passport whose visa was issued on the 4th.
14th of July it was delivered and the visa was issued on the 4th.
I have not received any collection mail about the remaining passport, whose visa was issued on the 1st of July. Tracking still says at DMC.
It's puzzling and worrying at the same time cos one would expect I would receive the one that was issued on July 1st before the one of July 4th. Has this ever happened to anyone? Should I be worried? Or is this TLScontact logistic confusion?

So far you have not received a refusal email, You've got nothing to worry about... Ed-Hardy=No Fear.
