On your part, you will need your 6 months pay slip, 6 months bank statement, employment letter, introduction letter from company, leave letter, call to bar certificate and other documents to proof your ties to Nigeria, this may be property documents, shares documents, inheritance, marriage certificate, children birth certificate etc.

Thanks for you detailed response, I appreciate you. However i'll like to state that this issue goes beyond your suggestions or recommendations. With the aid of immigration solicitors we are discovering a huge cover up and gross misconduct at TLS contact VI. Pending the time we would get concrete evidence and verdict, i'll suggest that anyone applying for UK visa should do so via priority service. Don't mind the amount you'll pay just go through the priority service. I wouldn't want to make substantial allegations without sufficient proof so i'll just advice u to do the above. I'll inform the house as soon as the cover up is exposed and what really transpired. Good day to you all.

My Friend who got his visa Last week didn't pay for Priority service and he got his VISA. No Time to Waste Money.

Hello Justwise, frontpage, worry, iblaw and others, just want to keep you posted about my friends application that was submitted on Friday at the VFS centre in V.I. On Monday morning he got an email that sheffield received the application, Today my friends mother called to inform him that sheffield called her to ask her some questions like - If she's expecting anyone? His name, DOB, where he works, If he is married, any child, name of his grandchild, who is paying for the ticket, when she's expecting him, date, how many days he is gonna be staying and her address in london.

My friend went to submit his application today at the VFS centre in VI.... He said a lot of people were not smiling after opening their parcel.. that some people couldn't even sabi which way to take back home cos of the refusal. That lots of people were refused because of lodgements... A man said he remitted a total 1.2M in his account within 3 months and the ECO referred to the lodgements and was refused, Another lady said her uncle who works in a bank boosted the account for her and still got refused. In a nutshell... all these oyinbo ECO don wise, lodging some money into ur account few days, weeks or months prior submission ain't working anymore like before.

The only thing outstanding is evidence of tax payment as an employee and the listed document thats not necessary is the Consent Letter from Wife.

Unfortunately you didnt state how much you earn monthly and how much you intend to spent on this trip...keep your expenses low and reasonable as much as you can...all depends on how much you earn

Take a copy of all documents along and if not necessary, keep copies in a personal file for future reference purpose.

Thanks Iblaw... well asper the evidence of tax payments, Tax is being deducted from his monthly pay which shows on his payslips, He earns 120K and spends 140GBP on living expenses. Cost of trip is 800GBP, 590GBP for flight and 210GBP for other expenses.

How powerful is your cover letter?

Well, The consent letter from wife is just to confirm that his wife knows about his trip and all arrangement has been made towards the upkeep of his family while away.

The death and affidavit came with the mothers' documents so as to show and confirm that she remarried another person after my friends' father passed on. I am sure they BdHC does have them in their records. Let me know pls

My candid advice for you is to run your salary account perfectly for another 4-6months. You have been there before so no rushing, take your time pls. Avoid lodgements cos it will cause problem for you, The account verification department will pick out all lodgements in ur account statement so don't think they don't have time, I am saying these Becos your present situation could push you to doing that... a lot of people have been to the UK on. 6month visa but today it has become story, why? Becos they couldn't take their time to perfect their account statement for 2yrs renewal.

Don't give the ECO any slight opportunity to refuse ur application, 1- 7 days prior submission is better, pls avoid any form of lodgement, it's worked before but not anymore, Infact It's one of the mistakes made by applicants.

On the company's letter headed paper, it shows XYZ auto engineering company but in his salary bank statement it shows XYX engineering Company.... please advise if this might affect his application.
