PRESS RELEASE BY APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL:
DESPERATE PLANS BY PDP TO LAUNCH A SERIES OF CAREFULLY CHOREOGRAPHED FAKE NEWS EVERY SINGLE DAY TILL VOTING DAY.

In a move reminiscent of how the PDP hired Cambridge Analytica in 2015 to scare voters from voting for President Muhammadu Buhari, we understand the PDP is at it again a few days to the actual voting day. This time, sources within the heart of the operations of the PDP and security sources have informed us of plans already concluded by the PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s campaign team to roll out a series of fake news designed again to scare voters from voting for President Muhammadu Buhari. These fake news would consist of doctored videos and audio clips and fake news reports from fake news sites.
Two of such fake news in the series have already been released through their proxies and nameless individuals. The first is an audio clip of a supposed “nurse” of President Muhammadu Buhari telling voters that the President is sick and cannot govern for another four years. We understand that a Nigerian girl whose real name is Sandra and who used a fake British accent did the said recording somewhere in Maitama in a house belonging to a PDP chieftain. Security operatives are already on her trail.
The second fake news released is on the purported death of Leah Sharibu. This is a lie from the pit of hell as the Federal Government’s effort to set her free has reached an advanced stage.
The other fake news lined up for the next few days by the PDP and Atiku’s handlers would consist of similar doctored audios, videos and fake news with no link to credible news sites.
Our advice to the leadership of the PDP is that Nigeria must not burn because of their selfish ambition. Enough damage was done from these kinds of narratives they pushed out in 2015 from which we have not fully recovered till date.
The election will come and go and Nigeria will remain one united, indivisible entity. We are shocked that the panic mode of the PDP has gone into overdrive, prompting them to push out such reckless fake news.
We wish to advise the leadership of the PDP that in order to reduce this type of panic and desperation on their part in 2023 (that is, if they survive as a party), they must find something meaningful to do outside government patronage after they lose the 2019 election. This type of attitude is borne out of hanging around, idle and waiting endlessly for election cycles to try to get back to power to plunder our national resources. The bad news for them is that from feelers we are having on the ground, Nigerians are not yet prepared to forgive them for their 16 years of misrule, mismanagement and outright stealing of our national resources.
Nigerians should therefore be on the alert regarding these series of fake news in the next few days.
Thank you.
Festus Keyamo, SAN, FCIArb (UK)
Director, Strategic Communications,
APC Presidential Campaign Council[/quote]Festus Keyamo's ill gotten SAN will be withdrawn asap. Nigerian's have decided to reject your next level hardship.
If Leah is not death what stops your government from providing her. Your propaganda won't work, this is not 2015. Nigerian's are now better enlightened

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has called off the election boycott order he had issued his supporters in the South East.Mazi Kanu, in a statement by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said due to “our terms and conditions had been met by those wishing us to lift the ban on voting, it was unanimously agreed that the boycott should be lifted.”
Kanu had issued the boycott order, saying there would not be election in the south-east until the federal government conducted a referendum.
Kanu, who is wont of giving orders to his supporters during election and as well as declaring sit-at-home orders to IPOB members to underscore the group’s demand for a referendum, Friday, recanted on his earlier boycott order.
kanu had, last year, vanished from Nigeria after the military launched an exercise code-named Operation Python Dance (Egwu Eke) which saw the troops attacking the home of the Biafran leader.
The group had claimed that their leader, who went underground for over six months, was killed by the military only for him to surface in Israel, alive.
Since he issued the boycott order, condemnations had trailed his order, especially from the Igbo apex Socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, who had urged him to call off the order.
However, just few hours to the election day, th IPOB leader and his group called off the boycott order, saying some conditions it gave were met. The group said all the terms and conditions it gave those wishing it to call off the order had been met.
In the statement by the group’s spokesperson, it said in due course, it would made public the document of the agreement it signed with those who urged it to call of the boycott order.
The statement partly reads thus: “It’s important we notify the world at large and the indefatigable global IPOB family in particular that our supreme leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has called-off the election boycott in Biafraland.
“After a brief emergency session of the Directorate of State late last night, presided over by our leader, it was determined that all our terms and conditions had been met by those wishing us to lift the ban on voting, it was unanimously agreed that the boycott should be lifted.
“The signed document agreeing to IPOB terms and conditions are in our possession and will be made public in due course.
“We can, therefore, state with utmost sense of responsibility and pride that IPOB has accomplished what no other people or group has been able to do in the history of our people. Without prejudice, this will go down as the defining moment when the irreversibility of the restoration of Biafra was firmly entrenched in the subconscious of all and sundry. As a result of which we can state categorically that Biafra is a lot closer than we think as a result of this.”
