masseratti:
At no point did APC "officially "said GMB was in London granting interview, although I would have expected them to refute the claim immediately so that people like Fayose would not have any cause to run their mouth,i see no reason why they should apologise,Guardian made the error no APC,btw Ameachi and his team has to double up,they are sleeping.

Considering the evil acts perpetrated by Fayose against GMB, could you not have considered that perhaps Fayose was in concert with guardian newspaper to use that picture so that he can come out to raise alarm that APC was lying just so to further tarnish the image of the general?

Fayose orchestrated that piece!

Barcanista intelligent? Cunning - yes! But intelligent? Has the Oxford dictionary been replaced? That word must have a different meaning.

No wonder the lad has been on a vainglorious pursuit to show FFK that he is worthy of pay. The more threads he opens; the more responses he gets; the more he convinces his paymaster of his abstract influence.

Carry on, keep massaging his ego and let him continue to make money off your praises.

NO!! With the FOI in place we shall continue to know what's going on in the government. Gej signed it.
Gej never gave himself life Pension as Bayelsa Governor like APC Chiefs did. And APC has been shouting change without change in substance. If we need change it will be for the better and not for the worse. By the way, the hawks that sent Nigeria to gallows between 1999 and 2010 and majorly found in APC and some are leading APC Presidential train. We can change within the Jonathan PDP

You are trying to be clever by half and pulling the same stunt as FFK pulled on channels tv.

In your earlier post, you admitted that GEJ is by no measure a saint and also indicted APC. You agreed that neither was better so I asked you a direct question which I perhaps need to rephrase here as you appear not to have comprehended my very simple construction of that sentence so here I go trying to break it down:

You say GEJ is no saint and APC did not sign FOI bill, right? So as neither parties are worthy, are you advocating that voters look to other parties? Yes or no?

Try answering that in the most direct manner without going off on a tangent please.

Nice one! The truth shall set you free. Anyone that says TINUBU is not corrupt is not sincere. It is unfortunate that Buhari cant see this or has decided to look the other way for selfish reasons.

If a man who is yet to be elected is allegedly looking away from criminal activities of his close allies, what then do you say about one whom you have elected to ensure that such criminal do not go unpunished rather this same man with so much power refuses to try these so called criminals?

Shouldn't you hold the one with the responsibility accountable? Shouldn't you hold him accountable for not trying Farouk who was found guilty of corruption?

I have been a critic of the President before now. No one is saying Jonathan is a saint, what we are saying is that whoever is to come to equity should come with clean hands. How do we know how much was stolen by APC governors and their cover-ups without implementing the FOi? Why do they keep blocking FOI requests? Why are indicted officials leading their change train with GMB taking back seat? Why are they intolerant? What are they changing when they haven't changed and are worse themselves?
.

If by your admission Jonathan is no saint and neither is Buhari then you must be advocating that we vote neither? Am I right?

100% in agreement!

Bravo!!!

mrmetoo1:
What's funny about this whole thing is, no one has decided on their running mate but it has become the hottest topic of the moment.

What this means is, this poses a threat to the opposition. Everyone is assuming that Buhari will clinch the APC ticket and a lot of people are assuming/hoping he'll pick Fashola as his running mate. If that combination wasn't a good combination, no one will pay attention to it.

Saying that, if Buhari picks any other muslim as a running mate, he'll surely lose. So this is really not a Muslim/Muslim thing, the opposition is just trying to make as much noise as possible so that the Buhari/Fashola combination won't happen.

I know GEJ/PDP supporters won't agree but Fashola is arguably more christian than muslim or at the very least 50-50, his mother is a christian, his wife is a christian, some of his kids are christians, he has christian siblings, this man does a huge carol in the govt house inviting gospel singers from everywhere. In fact the first sunday of the year, its bishops and pastors that he invites to pray for the year, so whats the real issue here??

Ismalizing the country, whatever that means, is him betraying all the people closest to him. Again we have a national assembly, they'll have to write this islamization into law so I don't get it.

If this ticket was looking like a Buhari/Aregbeshola, no one will be talking about it. As a matter of fact, the opposition will be praying for it because they know Buhari will lose but a Buhari/Fashola ticket is giving them a lot of worry. This is because we have an anti-corruption crusader on one hand and a well known performer on the other hand

If the APC is as smart as I think they are, they'll really jettison this ludicrous idea of muslim-muslim ticket to context 2015 election.

Any ardent observer will know that Nigeria is not ready for that kind of political play. Nigeria is much too divided along religious and tribal lines....

A muslim-muslim ticket will make CAN scream about the hidden agenda of muslims to islamatize Nigeria. It doesn't even matter whether the muslim fielded to context with Buhari should he get the APC ticket is from the south.

I can just imagine Machine Gun Oritsejafor screaming his lungs out and his blings dangling from his chest!.

Any right thinking person will not regard an arms dealing militant pastor.

My particular focus is on the SW as this is the battleground for elections 2015. The SW is the deciding region and if the Yoruba Christians are as clever as I know them to be, They will listen to the devil before Oritsejafor.

Fashola is the only Yoruba politician that appeals to all irrespective of religion. That is the man we need to put forward. If the Yoruba people are not fussed over religion, then it will be a home run for Buhari/Fashola. Forget the other southerners, they have sold their souls to Jonathan.
Politics / Re: Muslim-muslim, Christian-christian Ticket Dangerous -obasanjo by Asoozy: 4:52am On Oct 27, 2014
Listen to Obasanjo at your own peril. Isn't this the same evil man that brought us to the position we are in now? Isn't this the evil genius that planted Jonathan in Aso Rock to succeed YaraDua?

For me, it is Buhari/Fashola all the way! Obasanjo is still a PDP man at heart and he clearly does not want Buhari to beat his record of two time head if state. He does not want Buhari to win.

We shall not be shaken; we shall not be moved. Buhari is our man and Fashola is his best pair!

Sai Buhari/Fashola!!!
Politics / Re: Why Do You Think Lagos Is Called Lasgidi? by Asoozy: 6:43am On Oct 26, 2014
The 'gidi' part going by pronounciation does not mean real in Yoruba. I think it means strong, tenacity, firm, boldness, braveness etc.

While Gidi does mean real in Yoruba, in a different Yoruba intonation, it could also mean all or more of those adjectives I listed above.

I think that until that bridge collapses, the government will not take your lives seriously.

What are your senators doing? Your kinsmen virtually run this government yet you have to beg still for a bridge tgat should have been built over two decades ago?

If you guys don't get that bridge under Jonathan you might just not get it until poor innocent lives are lost. Clearly this is a disaster waiting to happen and you are just buying time.

Now I understand why you were so pained in my thread about my prophesy of the outcomes if GEJ is voted out in 2015. I have to sincerely tell you that your type of mindset and line of thought is retrogressive to national progress. Not only will it not give you progress as a Nigerian, it will potentially lead you to unnecessary confrontations, both online and physically. I just hope you understand that to hold someone down, you have to be down too.

Very well said.

Anyway, just to clear the air and not send wrong signals to certain heads that I hate Fashola. I have got nothing but all the love and respect in the world for the guy.

However, the excessive pseudo-privatisation drive in the country (which Fashola is also guilty of), and some of his anti-people's policies especially in relation to the indigenes have to be questioned. It is obvious the average Nigerian doesn't understand what privatisation drive should be about. And in capitalist countries that thrive on private investments - they create a balance with social welfare to keep the people happy. And to bridge the gap. But with Nigeria, it is all about selling all the country's assets and making life unbearable for the disadvantaged folks, without giving them anything back in return. Evidently, you just have to question the purpose of having a government and what the sovereign national wealth of the country, from crude oil and other foreign exchange goods/exports go. Are they just looting everything? So, Fashola has to show he doesn't belong in the same pathetic pilfering school of thought as these clueless folks. Something I'm yet to see.

Also, Boris Johnson is the last guy you want to be compared with. This guy hates the poor, and he is brazen about it. This is the same guy that's bringing back some policies of 19th century London, where class divides thrived - something Charles Dickens wrote extensively about. There are new buildings in London today, with one entrance for the poor, and a next one for the rich. Heck, Boris failed IQ test on radio. He needs to distance himself from Boris.

And if at all he wants to be compared to anyone - Tony Blair before the Iraq war is a good one.

This country never seizes to amaze me. Here we are with some states finding it hard to pay civil servants salaries, teachers salaries and meet financial /contractual obligations because the FG has unilaterally decided to cut down statutory remittances to all States of the federation.

Anyone who doesn't understand the rationale behind this Greek gift need enlightenment on political exigencies. The FG realizing the daunting tasks the Re-election of Self-destroying GEJ is gonna be has decided to use a Greek gift to the Main electoral foot soldiers to help it in its plot of rigging the 2015 election knowing the role Youth Corpers will play.

This has nothing to do with any humanitarian gesture but a clear cut design to get the main foot soldiers used by INEC to be stylishly compromised by a desperate and gullible administration who still think Nigerians will allow a rigging of next year's poll. Let it be sounded from the north pole to the south pole that the way Osun electorates stood their grounds to ensure their votes count, all patriotic Nigerians will do same across the geographic sphere of this country.

The voodoo electoral figure produced in 2011 for PDP in the South south and south east with the aid of corpers who provided unused ballot papers to PDP agents to thump print as many times as possible will not and can never happen in 2015.

We are vigilant and we are watching.

It's amazing to see that a lot of you didn't bother to click on the Op's link to realise that what is housed there is not a link to the video or the story but just a picture of the abducted girls. Had you clicked on the link, you would have wondered what the op's true intention were and questioned if the original report had not been doctored to skew the real truth.

Anyway here is the link to the channel 4 video. Hear hear that Stephen Davies who was said to be in Abuja at the time of the interview re-iterating that Alimodu Sherif is the politician sponsoring boko haram and not the APC like this disingenuous person and sunnewsonline are trying to make us believe.

Furthermore, that the government knows the location of these girls but dragging its feet.
