This is a call to action to the Lagos State Waste and Refuse management (LAWMA) , for sometime now there has been heap of refuse dump that has been left unattended to. And this heap of refuse dump has been causing a huge menace to the community of Thomas Owode Ajegunle, Irawo Owode Ajegunle Lagos. and road commuters. Before now people go to allocated designation of refuse dump disposal to dump their waste and in the next 24hrs the authorities in charge of the refuse waste management (LAWMA) goes to clear the refuse. And today the refuse is piling up by the day, and the waste is gradually encroaching to federal Ikorodu road highway getting. I therefore request that the authorities in charge should come attend to this situation before it gets out of hand, it is really becoming embarrassing by the day.

The picture bellow is taken this morning by me and the location is at Thomas and Iraw o bus stop Owode Ajegunle Ikorodu road Lagos.

She is not a highway manager in anyway, i have been following this woman for over two years now. Do you see her on any highway uniform, highway mangers wear reflective uniforms to signify their offices and is this the kind of broom a highway manger would use to to clean a federal road? Anyone could actually confirm the legitimacy of this piece of information, she's always on that road most times.

I feel she should be appreciated as an elderly woman rendering a selfless service, those who are observant enough who ply the road would attest to the fact this woman is doing a great job.

The Owode Ajegunle Ikorodu road Highway is clean (especially the BRT lane) today thanks to this elderly woman, imagine how long the road is, this elderly woman does it all by herself. But sadly she's rendering the service without being paid or rewarded by the Government who owns the road or the Lagos BRT operators. Everyday while going to work i see this elderly woman cleaning the road, this makes me wonder if the government assigned any Lawma worker to clean the road at all or maybe the Lawma worker assigned to clean that very area is leaving all the work for the poor woman and at the end of the month get paid by government. The government should know of course the road won't clean itself by default, someone is doing a great job and it is this poor elderly woman. You will always find this elderly woman cleaning that everyday without being appreciated or motivated by anyone, as a young man it is a slap to my face. As an elderly woman, she is doing something beneficial to Lagos and Nigeria as a whole, but as a young man that I'm what I'm doing to Lagos and Nigeria?

This Senior citizen is rendering a selfless service for over two years now without being recognized or appreciated and i feel it's time for us to appreciate her and encourage others who are rendering selfless services somewhere out there to continue.

In the early hours of this morning Wednesday 05/04/2017 a truck loaded with grains fell on the Ikorodu road Thomas Ajegunle highway. Our eye witness explained that as the driver was about to drive into the other road lane the truck fell, fortunately there were no life casualty.

The police and some responsible citizens are trying to control traffic, so if you are driving that way this morning kindly slow down and obey the directive of the traffic controller on site. Check more pics after the cut.....

Information reaching me just this morning was about a new scamming means targeted at divorced, matured single ladies who are in dare need of a spouse.

In tears the victim who is a divorced lady narrated the whole deal.... According to her the fraudster uses an impersonated Facebook name Abayomi Fajemirokun but was later inquired from the fajemirokun family in Ile Oluji they reportedly said he is not a member of their family.

He dated the victim for almost four months, the fraudster reportedly claim to worked in chevron, their communication was mainly through the phone he even went as far as talking with all the victim family members one by one each time he called.

So one very day Later, he called one day that he was arrested for fraud in his office and remanded at Abe okuta prison in ibara prison. He asked the victim to come meet him at the prison, to bring materials he needed like clothes, under wear, toothbrush, food etc. She went from ONDO to Ogun state prison, on getting to the prison yard she reportedly filled the necessary visitors form right from the gate of the prison yard and she did all the normal process and protocols to see him. Which suggest that some of the prison officials are aware of the fraud scheme.

The fraudster later called the victim that the case has been taken to the court he hereby requested the some of 800,0000 Naira to be paid to his lawyer to facilitate his release. To cut the long story short the victim paid 1,000 000 naira to secure the release of his estranged boyfriend. After the full completion of the payment to the fraudster he cut all form of communication with the victim, blocking his Facebook handle and all other forms to reach him. The confused victim tried all means to reach him but she couldn't so she went back to the prison to see if she could get information about the fraudster but to her surprise the prison officials denied ever detaining such a person. Recently flood has been rampaging the riverine area of Lagos, vehicles, properties have been destroyed and many rendered homeless. Those that can't afford to evacuate the flooded areas as the Nigerian metrologies department has warned due to inability to secure a new and saver place to stay still live in their flooded homes. As it is the responsibility of the government to evacuate this citizens to a safer place until the flooding crisis is resolved.

Few years back when the same flood crisis arose, the government headed by Fashola evacuated some of the flood victims to a safe camp till the duration of the crisis. It was reported that the former president Goodluck Jonathan visited Owode Ajegunle Lagos area where the site where the flood was prevailing the most and he also stopped the Lagos government from not taking over the property of the poor flood victims as we learnt that the Lagos government was then interested in taking over that particular area. The flood victims hailed and praise the Ex President for protecting their land and property. The ex president also added he had once lived in a house surrounded by water which led to a loud cheer from the audience.

It was reported two days ago a young girl was electrocuted, a bare wire accidentally fell into the water where the little girl was and right away the poor child got electrocuted. It takes a proactive government to listen to the plight of the citizens and take the necessary action. The pictures bellow were flooded streets, and home and before now they were all dry lands.

An Indian man once said “If you walk in the street of Lagos you will pick Dollars on the floor”, the Indian man doesn’t literally mean you will pick physical cash on the floor of street of Lagos, he simply means opportunities are abound in Lagos. I want to introduce an elderly woman who makes her little money doing the work of the Lagos state Waste Management   (LAWMA), every morning you will find this woman sweeping the highway of Thomas Owode Ajegunle Ikorodu road high.

She sweeps the high ways , not minding her old age and the high risk the work entails she goes ahead to gather the fine sand collected from the Lagos high way and store them in bags to sell. Instead of subjecting herself to begging, this diligent old lady device a means of survival the hard way not minding how little she earns and at the same time she is indirectly serving the Lagos road commuters by making the road clean. If this old lady could be doing this to survive shame be upon any young able man begging or stealing for survival. If you only open your eyes to the overwhelming opportunities surrounding you, solve problems, make life easier and be smart enough to transform it into income like the poor old lady.
