Lovenorth:This is a very dumb argument! How can you compare the killings of the 15,16th century to a 21st? I mean, when was the last time you saw Christians or Anglo-Saxons Protestant killing in the name of their God? Democracy, human rights, women rights, liberalism has been embraced by the Church, why can't Islam toll that path? Islam has been doing the same thing since time immemorial, and there's no chance that the world would see a change in their belief system now or forever. Something is fundamentally wrong with their religious beliefs and I think every right thinking Muslim knows it. However, lowkey, they enjoy what their brothers are doing. That's the sad reality. Ask yourself, how many Muslims here on Nairaland have said something along this line..." I'm a Muslim, but what this guys are doing is totally wrong and not Islam-like..." |
Is the 2017 Air still available? Called your MTN line, said it's a wrong number |
Is the Macbook Air 2017 still available? BTW, kindly update with your phone number |
aliadi2:Hello, no, it didn't start with the Gumboro vaccine. It started two days earlier, and I gave them the vaccine on Saturday (the sixth day). I thought it's probably gon stop after the vaccine but it didn't. Reason I created the thread. Thankfully, the mortality rate is reduced drastically and I pray it stop completely (since I introduced the drugs I stated in one of the comments). Have also been getting different advice from people regarding what to use, but I guess I'll just stick with the current procedure as see how it plays out. I don't want to complicate the issue. Anyways, lesson learnt, and the next batch is obviously going to be better than this. All hope is not lost on this too, I already planned for loss. I'll make a thread on it when the time comes |
Olayinka777:I'm not sure. I also think they needed heat since they're day-old chicks(or what do you think?). But I've reduced the heat since I read about respiratory diseases for birds online. I'll completely stop heating their house when they're 2 weeks old. Thanks |
matex97:Thanks for the concern. So far, no death recorded after I started using the new drugs. |
funshint:Thank you |
matex97:Yes I did. In fact, I had the whole house clean again on Saturday. I just got Amoxy-col WSP and Tylo-Dox Extra WSP this morning. Hopefully it works. Thanks |
Good day everyone. Please, I need help on how to curtail the rate of death of my broiler birds. I bought the day old chicks last week Monday, and I noticed an increase i n mortality rate exactly Friday night. Between Friday and today, I've lost 40 birds, and I'm not sure how or when its going to stop. I've been following due process all along and giving them vitamins and antibiotics as required. I gave them Gomboro on Sunday(the seventh day), as stated by the vet, and I'm not sure it has curtail the spread either. Please, farmers in the house, what can I do? |
All of you forming woke, go to YouTube and see videos of Americans killing and cutting croc meat into pieces. They eat and even process the flesh. So why the noise? I wish I can get the skin. |
Omo! This ref no wan take shit from anybody ooo. Why he no come dash am red to show say na him b d boss. |
Shebi we talk am. Twitter just get played into a very complicated politics. A ban similar to that of FB would have sufficed. You don't play God in this kinda situation. Today's for Republican, tomorrow might be Democrat, you think they'd wait till such is melted on them? |
Etinosa1234:No, they are not medical practitioners. Plus they never said it was pastors that did the operation, doctors did. How you even have to drag pastors into a God or not God discussion still baffles me tho. For clarity sake, It's a two different calling and God can decide to work through any of those hands. |
Etinosa1234:No, he did it through their hands. |
spiralwedge:There are days your gf also you refuses sex, did you die? No |
Saintmary:Thanks, I appreciate |

Oga that thing ain't expensive! It's just somewhere around $3000, what's the fuss? Blame Naira for not having any value |

Island01:Graphic design is diff from web development, but it does complement each other. It's like a genre in the IT field and I don't really know much about graphic designers other than the one who do UI/UX(user interface/user design and mockups) for web developers. The other graphic designers you're talking about if I'm right are the ones who build business designs and logo, which I don't really know much about. I'm talking from the web development point of view here. Btw, you can manage what you have till you can afford better ones. Just keep junks and unnecessary files off your PC to avoid slagging and read content online, subscribe for newsletter and follow devs as well. Twitter is a good place to get em and you can even ask questions and there are people willing to answer you. Plus there a lot of opportunities on Twitter, like bootcamps and programs that you can easily do. I know some companies that gift laptops to devs from Nigeria as well. Just harness the SM platforms, you'll surely find your way. I know of some devs that are giving aspiring devs money for monthly subscription and all. Just keep on pushing and before you know it, you'll surely get your bearing and forge your path. What I tell people is don't stop, don't be stagnant just keep moving. Even if the results are not yet out, just keep pushing you'll surely find your path. |
Island01:I can only speak for what I know... If you're seeking for an IT skill to learn, programming is a good path. However, it entails a lot of commitment and hardwork. Nothing good comes easy so the question is are you ready to dedicate one year of your life to learning? People make mistake thinking it's so easy and that the money comes immediately you start. But if you want to earn well, you have to work and that means you will have to commit a year to learning the skills necessary. The reality is that it's not easy if you don't have anything to motivate you. You'd probably need a side hustle to keep body n soul together while you learn for the long-term. You'll need constant light plus reliable internet connection to get most of your time. You know how costly data can be and burning of fuel if there's no light. But if you're resilient, you'll surely laugh last. It's not going to be easy, there are times you will feel like quitting, quit, give up, be frustrated, mad at yourself etc. All these are part of the process, but if you faint not, you will reap your reward. Like I said answering a similar question here, understand whether you're going to self-learn or use a structured program (there are a bunch of it online). The basics for web programming is that you learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript. There are other programming languages but JavaScript is versatile and probably the most used (just like English) it's hard but that does not mean it's not learnable. There's also the design world in the IT field and I know people that are earning cool cash as designers. I mean UI/UX designers. The list is endless. Just know your strength and find/research the field you are comfortable with or you will be comfortable learning and then start. Personally, I suck at designs and colors etc so I try as much as possible to avoid some parts of front-end dev. Lastly, don't learn like an average Nigerian. Don't settle for mediocre and try to cut corners. Hardwork pays. Whatever it is that you wanna learn, start from the basics cos that's the foundation. Learn to be able to compete on an international standard and be the best so you can compete for jobs with Americans and Europeans. The reality is that if you're good, clients will hire you without stereotype (maybe in some cases, which is normal. Most times, they hire based on competence) For me, it was just about the long-term goal and having a job security in this world of uncertainty, which makes Tech bar. I've been a writer and earn being a writer but the money wasn't forthcoming as before and there are a lot of uncertainties working as a writer that's why I did the career shift. It wasn't easy but it's worth it in the end. The best thing is to earn in $ and work for clients outside this country. I don't like the Nigerian work environment and employers as well. They're like modern slaves, they won't pay well plus they think they're helping you. I wish you luck in your journey bro... |
Island01:Hello bro, I'm kinda busy atm, I'll update this once I'm free. Btw, what do you wanna know about web development? |
themaestro08:You don't really to spend up to 70hrs, but there are some days you might. Are you looking for self learning or a structured program? If you want to self-learn, it's good but the question is how committed are you? It's easier to loose motivation when the going gets tough, when you're faced with hard projects, which will happen most time. There are also structured programs online you can enrol for. Some, you have to psy before you use their resources et al, while there are some companies that run it like a school and you pay the tuition, which is like $16k on the average. However, the plus side is a whole lot of them allow you to pay $0 upfront and you'll then pay after you've completed your program. Some even help you to find jobs. But getting in is the problem cos you'll need basic level/ JavaScript and probably do live interviews/evaluation assessment before you're properly enrolled. There are other factors like good internet and light that plays a critical role in determining how far you can go. But in all sincerity, it's worth it in the end and there's no crime in giving it a shot. |
Anonime1105:I laugh when I see people arguing over peanuts ehn. You see some devs charging N30k for a project, I'm like wtf? Personally, I don't consider them as devs cos it's not easy to become one... It takes constant effort and hardwork. When I said hardwork, I mean dedicating like 50-70hrs of every week trying to learn. |
It's so saddening to see guys here watering down an average income for devs. If you're good at what you do, you should be raking in dollars not Naira. Entry-level/ junior devs earn between $65-120k per annum (divide that by 12 and multiply by 410). However, you have to be on world's best or international standard before you can earn that, which is where most problems lies for Nigerians cos we like to cut corners |
lefulefu:It's not about being born into wealth alone. Because she's born into wealth doesn't mean she can't covet his, it's all about her beliefs and values. Will she be able to hold the forth when her husband is not around, is she family oriented and will uphold strong family ties, and not turn into a narcissist over night? Will she be able to look him in the eye and tell him when he messes up or just someone who will agree with whatever he says just because she always wants to be on his good side. Lastly, will she give him peace of mind and not live the life for the gram while loosing touch with realities? All these are things I think the guy is critically considering before making that choice. Not everybody wants or desire to toll the divorce lane when the going gets rough. A good example is Tyson Fury's wife(judging from what I've read and watched about the family). The woman is one down to earth lady who complements him. |
Sincerely, It's hard to make that choice when you're famous. When you get rich n famous to a certain extent, you'll have to be critical of the choices you make. Now he's conscious of who to settle down with cos that decision can make or mar him. I like the fact that he's looking for someone that is down to earth and family oriented because when all this fame fades away, and the spotlight ain't on you anymore, then you'll know the true color of people. |
I love the skin color! I won't mind getting a shoe made of cobra skin. So so classy... |

ednut1:God needs your money! Because he won't come down from heaven to collect it doesn't mean we should give him what's duly His. There are a whole lot of things that goes into running a church or being a pastor. There are lots of missionary works and pastors these men people sponsor and contribute to. Because they don't get to talk about it often doesn't mean they are scam. Most pastors are on full time and they have families too. How do you expect them to feed their families, cater for the spiritual and sometimes physical well being of their members. However, I do know there are other churches whose pastors feed large at the expense of their members. And there are churches that the pastor in charge are not even aware of the money in the church's purse other than the monthly allowance given to him. In addition, most of them pay back tithe too. While some get all these things as gifts as well. For me, I know how my pastor is living and I've seen him going the extra mile because of his members. If he buys a jeep tomorrow, I don't think I have the right to question where he gets the money to buy. That's between him and God, not me. |
