How do you think this Nigerian team would have done at the world cup? Three disgraceful losses and out, Congo at least have some discipline which we totally lack. Wish them well and move on, it's not like we deserved to beat them (going by what those that watched the match said, I only saw the penalties). |

Rikkely: The guy was right, I’m having trouble undertanding your reasoning, there's a reason every country has a capital and it's always more developed than every other part of the Country. I'm talking about third word country like Africa. Stop doubling down on an opinion if you don't have any valid point to counter back. Ire oo The capital of Nigeria was a small sliver of the Lagos Metropolis, that is the point I was trying to make. Lagos state o, Western Region ó, they used money allocated to them to develop Lagos as we know it. Lagos is more developed, not because of Federal government money to a small part of it, but because those governments I referenced were judicious in the use of money. I referenced those industrial estates along the Apapa Oworonshoki expressway as an example. A huge reason for the development of Lagos. |

Broveens42: Sorry to say this; I'm beginning to question your exposure in the states to think that the only thing you could use to justify tribalism was to use an election the owners of Lagos and Abuja lost out in those states.
Let me educate you properly: •Right from 1999 till date, The igbos are known for voting competency over anything you can imagine. •Consequently they are also very quick to condemn their own, when they do not deliver. Infact, this is why there's a misconception in the first place: that igbos are not united.
I can show you so many empirical evidences to suggest that no tribe in Nigeria beats the igbos when it comes to neutrality The problem with you Obidients is you read but don't comprehend. Read my first paragraph again, I will hint you, focus on the part I said "last elections" and "partly true". Also, who said anything about me being in the states, I am not even exposed sef. |

So Nigeria will win them hands down with Osimhen scoring hat trick through out of the qualifications to the world cup. nairalanda1: I disagree with you NIgerians are not even the majority of immigrants in the uk, plus anti-immigrant sentiment has been growing for years..it only just peaked with a lot of reports over the last 10-15 years with crimes commited by immigrants being widely reported, especially those in the uk illegally.
Then there is the rise of the New Far right, the rise of people like Farage, and the threat he poses to both tories and labour, and you get the picture.
Plus what the person you quoted said is right. Even now, many brits complain of large scale takeover of their neighbourhoods by immigrants who won't assimilate or learn english
Add the fact that the UK does need caregivers, and they aren't enough in the country, so they won't be angry with nigerians per se. Also, everyone immigranting to uk posts the same type of videos...how to get into the UK, etc.
It's not all Nigerian's fault. Denmark and Sweden are also shutting doors to immgration, and nigerians dont go there in their numbers. Have you heard of the BNP or NF? They used to be allowed to do Party political broadcasts in telly despite being outright racist, not just anti immigration as Farage is. Anti immigration feelings haven't just peaked in the last 10 years, they are nowhere as high as in the 70's. Go and check the stats released of those student Visas that have been issued by UK over the past few years, Nigerians are highest in the list. Brits have always complained of large scale takeover of neighbourhoods by immigrants and non-English speaking people, it isn't just today. That you are just aware doesn't mean it is just happening Caregivers can come from all around the world and do, Nigerians are not experts at doing so, don't delude yourself that Brits take us as special in some sort of way, we are all lumped into an Anti immigration basket with those Afghan's and Iraqi's that come in by boat. Nigerians post these videos on social media more than most, we also dupe each other and out each other to the authorities a lot too. All this tightening of Student visa and families stemmed directly from a BBC video made by a Nigerian where he let on to the BBC about what was happening. Denmark and Sweden is as a result of Anti Islam feelings, very different to the UK one where even Christian immigrants are seemingly "not welcome". Like I said, these openings that we took advantage of and broadcast in full stereo in social media, Indians and Pakistani's have been using it for ages. |

motymop: Japa to the UK didn’t go wrong because of content creators.
It went wrong the moment the natives started feeling sidelined, housing scarcity, rising crime rates, and a belief that the government was treating illegal immigrants better than its own citizens.
That sentiment created the perfect environment for frustration to grow, and eventually pushed more people toward supporting far-right groups that are strongly anti-immigration. I disagree with your second paragraph, a lot of the natives have felt that way since the 90's, they just never had it thrown in their faces so blatantly like Nigerians did. Every single stuff we did to take advantage of their system, Indians have been doing it for ages, loud mouthed Nigerians were the ones that put it out there in a way that the natives could see. Our own is too much. |

But you jumped over and was making some incoherent statements. What brought about plagiarism here? And tell me in the Nairaland main Front Page whether or not 90% of the news are not gotten from else where? but these news are credited to their original source(s)? Almost all the local and international news we read from Nairaland Front Page are gotten from her members from other main media houses, social media or blogs and they are not bad provided you will credit them to her original owners. Or is any Nairaland member having a media house that they get their news from the scene directly? What are you saying it seems you don't even know or understand what you are saying? And to nail the coffin even the biggest international news and media houses source their news from other notable news media eg BBC sourcing directly from Reuters, CNN from ALJERZEERA and vice versa and I mean word to word but give credit to their sources unless the media house flagg the news and said it should not be copied or reprinted without their knowledge get this and know peace. Broveens42: With all your exposure in the states, you couldn't tell the difference between self determination and tribalism?
"Tribalism and igbo" shouldn't be in same sentence as history and evidence show they are willing to live among any tribe and with all their resources.
How many tribes in Nigeria can take that risk? Per the bolded, this was totally true until the Presidential election results trickled in and we saw outlandish proportion of votes for Peter Obi. Now it is partly true. It is also one thing to live among any tribe, it is another to not cause rancour when you do so. Take as an example how extremist Muslims from Southeast Asia behave In western countries. I am not suggesting Ndigbo do this, just making a point. Self determination should start from voting and electing people in Abuja that campaign on such ideals, I look forward to Ndigbo treading that path. |

My response simply stated a legal fact that often gets overlooked, yet it was quickly deleted—while other strong opinions about MNK remain visible. Let me repeat the point clearly: The real issue is the judge who reopened a case after a competent court had already discharged and acquitted Nnamdi Kanu. The real issue is the politicians (including Tinubu and Buhari) who ensured he remained detained despite the court ruling that the government should pay him ₦2 billion in compensation. Nairaland can continue whatever way it chooses—removing posts that highlight these facts about Biafra or MNK and deleting comments that favours Biafra. DomPerignon: 90% of topics that make it to FP are copy pasta that were lifted and straight up plagiarized from external publishing sources.
The OP is lamenting that his own copy pasta never gets pushed or is quickly shut down in preference to another similar copy pasta thread with the exact content as his.
Why is the OP ranting ?
Because he would have preferred his IPOB/Obidient mob first page posters version of same topic be moved to FP so as to amplify their own narrative .
FP topics get a lot of traction per viewers and comments and even so, the first page of an FP thread is were one can amplify the narrative and get the maximum engagement.
If a BATist opens similar topic , the narrative will spin differently than if an IPOB/Obidient creates similar topic .
Also, Obidient are known to create a thread and tag their fellow obidients to spin a narrative and use the topic as an opposition talking point.
So have no pity for the OP who is not only threatening NL downfall because his copy pasta plagiarized thread never got to FP so as to use it to spin their daft opposition narrative. Well said. Why Obidients can't either buy the site or pay the owner of this site for training on how to start their own Obidientland is a mystery. During the elections, this site was glaringly pro-LP, neutrals like me didn't cry once, we just accepted we were tenants in the landlords building.
