3. Not a good leader economics wise. But handed over to democracy
4. At least handed over to democracy.
5. Part of the evil buhari dictatorship.
Nzeogwu did his bit during that coup, that other people let him down is a shame. He was known as very principled and disciplined and had socialist leanings. He is a hero to me, not perfect but who is, and to a lot on the left.
Idiagbon was all about a hatred for tardiness which had infiltrated all aspects of Nigerian life. All the BS to do with decree 4 and other nonsense oppressive aspects of the Buhari regime was nothing to do with him, I am reliably informed and believe.
Cocolatti: Here's my list. Some were popular but maybe for the wrong reasons
1. Major CHUKWUMA "KADUNA" NZEOGWU. A revolutionary and Mastermind of 1966 Military coup. 2. Major EMMANUEL IFEAJUNA. An athlete who won Nigeria's first Gold medal in high jump at the Commonwealth Games in 1956. 3. Major GIDEON ORKAR. The Arrowhead of the 1990 failed Military coup against the Babangida regime. If he had succeeded, most of the Northwest states would have been removed from Nigeria. 4. General YAKUBU "JACK" GOWON. The humble son of a Christian Missionary who became a Soldier and Nigeria's Head of State for 9years.
Good list but Ifeajuna blotted his copy book leaking the coup.
honesttalk21: Unless you are a lawyer go ask a lawyer for interpretation and implications. Get understanding why these LCDAS continue to exist without legal constitutional challenge for 20years +.
Did you not read some degree of compliance with the requirements for a referendum? Will the SIEC work without reference to federal INEC? The politics behind the national assembly's non compliance with judiciary instructions should be understood.
Thank you for this and your previous Uber knowledgeable posts on the topic. Quite enlightenening actually.
Bear in mind sha that the Obidient you are teaching sense to, I have had cause to come across him once or twice, isn't here to learn from more learned people.
OBA2503: Awon omo ale..... If we tell parents not to grow children in those climes, dem no dey hear.
It's not the growing, It's the not making time to nurture them that's the issue.
In that same UK, a lot of children of Nigerians excel too.
The stupid tithes and offering you are paying regularly to Adeboye's London branch, for example, wouldn't help your prayers if you don't make time to know your children and their educational deficiencies and needs.
A Deaconess I know did thanksgiving in a Redeemed church once (it could have been any church), guess why? Her teenage son had just been released from prison.
I thanked my relative that I was staying with, and who had invited me to the event, and found something else to do with my time.
SalamRushdie: As someone who grew up in a very military family and even served briefly I was thinking about how some officers became very popular in the country and I decided to make my list of the 6 most popular officers that have come out of the Nigerian military ...This is my list but your are free to add yours .
DeltaFire: NZUKO UMUNNA: WHAT WE DISCUSSED WITH NNAMDI KANU IN KUJE PRISON ON 28TH FEBRUARY 2017 Kesh Orsu TV channels., Facebook Copied author: Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia II 11 Nov 2025
3. We discussed why he should consider joining a political party or registering one, and have himself or his members run for elections to try to change or correct what he believed was not working well in the country through legitimate means. He disagreed with us on this point.
I wonder if he, and his followers, disagreed about going down a political route because, as has been proved by elections over the years, Ndigbo secession is a minority view amongst Ndigbo's.
As children, parents will be spending all their time working like crazy to build houses in Nigeria and ignoring the educational aspects of their lives as well as the friends they are keeping.
No one else can tell the children off apart from them, children then grow up to have zero intention in furthering their education or having any direction in life.
Meanwhile, those children that arrived from Nigeria with their dutiful parents are going into higher education and being useful to the society as their moral compass is still intact.
I remember saying this to one or two Nigerian children over there that were starting to go the wrong way, the soceity in abroad already have a prison cell waiting for you, it is up to you not to take up that spot they have reserved.
Hopefully they come out reformed and are able to help those younger ones with their stories, odds are against it though, shame.

PDP as a party is the proverbial house built on sand, only won elections as they were the only national party, full of charlatans and chances, going against regional ones. As soon as another national party came to the fore, the rats deserted the ship and they became toast.
Having said that, we do need a strong opposition in Nigerian politics. PDP have shown the paucity of the Nigerian political system without a genuine opposition.
Charles Soludo, Anambra state Governor said, “In the fullness of time, we will get the record out of how somebody deliberately and intentionally destroyed the public education system in Anambra state”
If you’re getting frustrated because someone is doing what you couldn’t even think about, just go home relax and get a life, because idleness and serial looses can get into someone mental health.”
Peter Obi better take his time, Prof is on a trajectory to be the President of Nigeria and unlike President Tinubu, he will put people in their place.
WelcomeToBiafra: Bandits kidnapped Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya, blindfolded and forcefully holding him hostage unlawfully, forcing him to pay ransoms unlawfully for five years now, yet some terrorist and bandits brothers and friends are here exposing their ignorance. The whole world is watching genocide against Biafran's Christians and Jews and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm
Prophet of where or Annointed of what is Ohamdike?
If he does join APC, and I can see that happening as it is Naija politics, he is behind both Bianca and Prof Soludo in any elective position reserved for the South East, a long way behind sef.
Kukutente23: I see now that the problem you have is that the reporting did not suit your bias. Therefore it must be wrong. Shall we go bring The Nation or PM news to make you sleep well? Unfortunately your bias is not a relevant factor in deciding how cases are prosecuted nor is enlightening your dim bulb one of the issues that preoccupy the minds of lawyers at that stage. So even if you're within your right to set up your own barometer for believability, you're not with the required means to make it a central theme in the course of the case. You have to learn to work with what you're given instead of rambling against the tools like a typical lazy man
One last one from me. The stuff you collated was craftily written, which is standard fayre for Nigerian journalists when they have been paid and don't want to commit themselves.
Till today, not one person has seen fit to publish a copy of the reported information from Peter Obi's lawyers to stir up some conversation.
Thankfully, or hopefully, gbugburu, kuli kuli et al sellers were allowed to use them after the court cases. The most useful the photocopy from IREV would have ever been.
Kukutente23: I understand that not all bulbs are bright but even a dull bulb should be bright enough to read and cure itself of glaring ignorance borne out of a wilful need to demonise one politician and idolise the other Will it not be shameful to find a dull bulb still not useful enough for reading?
You that your bulb is so bright that you have been blinded by BS carefully worded reporting and have totally ignored the judgement, congratulations to you.
Maybe you should at some point, if you can be so bold, show us the numbers that Peter Obi's legal team claimed they have that don't tally with INEC's own.
All he presented in court to support his spurious claims were based on two distinct things:
1) Disqualifying President Tinubu which I wouldn't even bother with.
2) Yakubu promising to use IREV and his team finding lots of blurred pictures on there. This was why his legal team produced reams and reams of paper in boxes. They were photocopies of what were on IREV.
He (laughingly) wanted elections in those polling units that had those blurred pictures on IREV redone again.
This was despite INEC having physical copies of those results which clearly showed Peter Obí came third overall when tallied. Physical copies that his team could have paid for according to standard INEC policy.
Not once did his team claim he had won any elections in court or brought proof of valid INEC results sheet that deferred from the one INEC had.
Even the one With Cynthia Okeke rigging shege banza in a polling unit for LP.
Peter Obi and his legal team needed long drawn out Tribunal and Supreme Court cases to milkas much as possible from Obidients.
Whilst I haven't physically stopped going, mentally and emotionally, I am not with them anymore.
I think my lack of interest happened ages ago, can't say exactly when, and it was when I suddenly had an epiphany about Black Pastors and their selfish need for tithes and offering to fund their lifestyles, some or most of which are degenerative ones.
I ain't leaving shishi because I will work hard to set them up nicely while I am alive so it is up to them to them to make the most of it.
My mum set me up in life and I asked her not to give me shishi in her will which she didn't thankfully. The ones that she gave to are beefing each other and her, even in her death, because it wasn't distributed evenly, ntorr!
I told her husband not to give me shishi either, that one did eye service and (claimed he) left a flat for me (tufiakwa) which others are collecting the rent from but dat wan no concern me anyway.
Shishi received from will, shishi giving in will, chikena.
chatinent: Is it that Asians take the drugs the most or these peeps don't just like their lives?
I don't know how far this place he was caught at is from Goa but I know a lot of "Nigerians" sell drugs in Goa which is a tourist hotspot beach location known for holidaying tourists who want to partake in that kind of thing.
