You won't compare it with making $15 which can lead to boredom after awhile but when your weekly earnings can take care of you comfortably for 3 months. There's no pressure. There's just limitless opportunities.

Will you be able to sit in front of your computer during your trading hours without any distractions? Also, with the sharp swings and noise happening on lower time frames these days, will you be able to stay calm when you see a trade go - 20 pips against you first before going your way again, especially on the huge lots required to make scalping worth it?

Anyways like you said, "knowing thyself" is what matters.

You don't always have to use large lots. I feel the success in scrapping/ scalping is in the number of trades made successfully.

I was 50% trading signals from realtimeforex.com, I was using 0.01-0.35 lot sizes (crazy on a leverage of 1:100), I did intraday trading, short term trades. Imagine doing 20-50lots per day and mostly trading m1-m15 time frames. made 70 - 120% per day (I made losses too on some days). traded 3-4days per week
I didnt know about candles and trailing stops but I drew charts on an a4 paper and read about market sentiments alot from different sites and major world news.
my biggest mistake then was refusing to close trades that went against me as I didnt believe the market could go from 1.1335 to 1.1445 in one day. I got a margin call at $50, it messed up my head, I began making bad trades and the rest of the money went in 2days.

They said you can never be profitable with $100 capital, that one needs to start with at least $1000. How true is this please, because $100 is all I can muster for startup. Can't I take very low lot positions like $0.01and make my little profits? Will leverage truly weigh me down? Did anyone here start low and is still surviving?

I know I have to demo trade first, I have been doing that now for over 2 months. So just leave the part where I should learn how to trade first

If u can keep the lots that size or that low till u have a good equity, yes u can, just dont try to take pips of .7 or 1 yet even in sure trades cus thats where the problem comes from

Don't stay too long on babypips school, it's for absolutely for beginners. So as to learn forex terms, candles, indicators et cetera.

When you know what; sell is , buy is, what indicator is, overbought , oversold , types of orders, limit/stop etc... When you learn all those , please don't over stay there.

Move on and learn trading by trading on demo, get a system/ a methodology, look for one that soothes you. For example, if you have a 9-5 job, you will need a system with that timing factor in.

No ooo, I'm scared of metals and commodities. I'm beginning to understand fx market small smal, lemme stick there. For e.g, I tried plotting a chart yesterday and later abandoned it, today the chart fulfilled (a drop to 1.126 Eur/usd zone) I was shocked cus i didnt even believe the graph yesterday so i didnt trade it as I'm being careful.

Avoid trading when you have any emotional upset or inbalance: heartbreak, loss of a loved one and so on.

Avoid trading when not at full body capacity: at sleep time, when sick or just too tired. There will always be other times to trade.

Avoid trading on inadequate resources: low power supply, poor performing laptop, bad internet network.

Avoid distractions: no 'visits' (you are at work), keep people away from your laptop as much as you can.

Had this friend who relocated to the USA, I also decided to relocate a year later, I needed to pay for a certain subscription that is restricted to North-Americans. I begged this friend to help with the payment ($35), I asked her for her details so I could send her $50 for her trouble. She refused saying we are too close for her to collect money for such a small thing. She said she'll do the payment by month end when she must have gotten her next salary. I waited till the next month, no show...
I offered her $70 thinking the hidden expenses are more than $15, she didn't help o. She eventually blocked me on whatsapp. An e-friend in Canada later helped me do the payment and I ensured I reimbursed the friend of course.
The friend visited Nigeria recently and was sharing scarf and body cream for her friends. Lol.....
The evil in some peoples heart though.
