babajero:Where are you from.. |
The Origin of Arochukwu, Ohofia, Abam, Ututu etc. - by Prof. J. Akuma-Kalu Njoku. Around 16 century, the southern part of Igboland was originately inhabited by Oru people before some Igbos in the Northern part migrated to join Oru due to population pressure and depletion of quality of farmland. *Note the Oru people who were the aborigines of The land stem from Igodomigodo.* In addition to southward migration, another group of migrants, the Mben - Owan group, migrated from Igodomigodo/Edo State eastward across the Niger River and passed through Oru moving further eastward until they came to a place they called Be Ndi (Bende) Igbo, meaning Igbo territory. Some of the names of these immigrants who migrated from Igodomigodo and populated Bende were; Alayi, Igbere, Nkalu Itu, Abam, Ohofia, Ututu and Arochukwu. These Igodomigodo immigrants aggressively displaced the original Anang and ibibio inhabitants of the area and claimed their forest and lands. The case of of Abam, Ohofia and Ututu was particularly poignant because of the brutal way they went about forest and land acquisitions. They faughtand virtually wiped out or displaced the aborigines. Thus, whereas the Igbo to Oru migration and settlement pattern were marked by pacts of mutual coexistence with the aborigines of Oru, the Mben - Owan trail to Bende was marked with incidences of displacement and subjugation. J. Akuma-Kalu is an Associate professor of Folklore and Ethnomusicology in the Department of Folklore Studies and Anthopology at Western Kentucky University. He should stop deceiving uneducated Igbos about Jewish ancestry. |
babajero:Weed |
Osagyefo98:Okay. They said he is the leader of IPOB |
kollinzgee:Where are you from in the East. You might be one of our children, just like Nnadi Kanu |
Osagyefo98:Yes, Ohafia where Nnadi Kanu comes from. He is descendant of Pa Idu |
Omoregiek:This thread is purely for the unification of Idu children worldwide |
You are all welcome If you have any question you ask Or if your ethnic nationality falls within those mentioned above you can comment. |
OmoOlofin:You have a sharp memory You are right I made mention of that before base on the information at my disposal. I have learn more of our history overtime, we have been able to identify the children of Ogiso Owodo. They left Ogiso palace because their mother Oakha was accused of committing adultary by another Ogiso Owodo wife Esagho. Assokpodudu is the first son and crown prince of Ogiso Owodo, Ekerladahan is the second son born by Lady Esagho. The third son is Ozorgbor and fourth son Oigi. Assokpodudu the crown prince established Uzea in Esanland. Ekerladahan founded Ughoton, Ughoton is the ancestral home of the Uhrobos in Igodomigodo. Ozorgbor founded Uromi in Esanland. Oigi founded Ekperi in Esako. |
ATTENTION EVERYBODY. This thread is for the Indigenous people of Idu lgodomigodo descendants. Pa Idu is the founder of Igodomigodo and the empire had existed for centuries before Ile-Ife people came through Prince Orominyan to Igodomigodo and forcefully took occupation of the present location they are living in Edo State known as Benin Kingdom. Benin Kingdom is an extension of the Oduduwa dynasty. Geographically, It is located in three local government in Edo South. Our ancestors who was the constudian head of Igodomigodo then Erebo entered a treaty with Orominyan dynasty Oba Ewedo in 1255A.D. Through the Treaty know as Ekiokpagha we leased a portion of our land to them and settled them at Ogbe, a former cementary ground in Ogisos days. Over the centuries many of our indigenous people of Igodomigodo fled to establish what is today known as: Igodomigodo North: Ora, Afema, Etsakos, Akoko-Edos, Ekperis, Igalas, Esan, Owan, Akoko-Edo, and Igede etc, etc. Igodomigodo East: Igbanke Umunede, Ogwashikwu, Iselukwu, Aboh Kingdom, Ukwani Asaba, Onitsha, and Idu Enugu Ezike, Arochukwu, Ohofia, Abam, Oguta, Oru, etc. Igodomigodo West: Ijaws, Urhobos, Isokos, Itshekiris etc. Igodomigodo South: Engennis, Ogbas, Ekpeyes, Ikwerres/Iwhurohnas, Nembes, Izon, Ogbia, Epie, Atissa, Abua, Degema, Ndoki, Andoni, Kalabari, Ndonni, Apie, Kula, Zarama, Degema, Tombia, Abonema, Etche, Rivers, Ukwa East, Obolo, Ikot Abasi, etc. Others Are: Some West African Countries and the Remaining Aborigine People of Igodomigodo scattered through the 7 Bini LGAs of Edo State”. So you are welcomed on board, let's rob mind. Feel free to contribute and ask questions. We are all of the same ancestral heritage. GREAT INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF IDU IGODOMIGODO WORLDWIDE.

Wtf77:I am not from Ogiemen family, though he is one of the aborigines in Igodomigodo opposing you fake propagandist trying to destroy our history and heritage. I am a direct descendant of Ogiso Owodo |
macof:I have heard an interview with Ugbo king, who is a descendant of Obatala. I dont want to argue your history with you. You know Oduduwa origin more than any one. The Benin people here were hired by Oba Ewuare to spread fake news and misinformation online. Ignore them, they are from Ille Ife. We the Ogisos greet Laiso Oba of Benin family greets Lamogun. This is the greetings we used to identify families in Benin. Oba of Benin dynasty is not Ogiso and can never be. He is Yoruba man
|
Wtf77:Yorubas are in a place to tell Oduduwa history not you Ille Ibinu. You are from Ille Ife and there is nothing you can do to erase your history. Ekerladahan live and died in Ughoton according to our historian Egharevba, and my family Ogiso. Your Oba is from Ille Ife, a descendant of Orominyan the grandchild son of Oduduwa who is an Arabian. Ogiso family great Laiso. Your Oba greet Lamogun You Oba is not from Ogiso family and can never be. He is tenant in our land Igodomigodo.
|
Etinosa1234:I have, the people of Igodomigodo speak Idu language. That is the language I speak not Ille Ibinu. |
Wtf77:Oduduwa didnt migrate from Igodomigodo, he is an Arabian.. you dont know Ife history more than them. Ekerladahan, your propose Oduduwa lived and died in Ughoton, the ancestral home of Urbobos. Ekerladahan is the second son of Owodo, born by Esagho. Oakha born the first and third son Asokpodudu Uzea, and Ozorgbo, Oigi. You people are liar. You want tell me Ogiso descendant my history and at the same time trying to tell Yoruba people.. your ancestral home their history. Does a son give birth to father. Egbareve already pen our history down.. no Ekerladahan turn Oduduwa there. |
Etinosa1234:The shrine is the where Ehimi Idu reside. They spirit of our ancestors Idu.. the progenitor of our race. Yes we speak Idu language I have proven already with a video that you are a descendant of Orominyan who is a native of Ife. You said you are a descendant of Eweka, if so ife is your home. |
macof:They know who they are, it Oba Ewuare who is paying them to be lying online |
Wtf77:Watch that video by Esogban and shut up |
macof:I just pasted a video from YouTube.. It is detail there how ille binu people migrated from ille ife by Esogban |
Wtf77:I don't want to wast my time proven what you already know to you. For the people that are here to learn.. watch this, the number 3 man in your kingdom talked about how you migrated from ille ife. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZQZl-yyNqE |
Wtf77:I am only telling the history of my land Igodomigodo and how people migrated there. History has been written already, it is too late to amend it to suit your agenda. You people will be resistance both in your ancestral home ife and your host nation Igodomigodo. |
Etinosa1234:I said Benin speak Idu language mixed with Ife dialet. Orominyan migrated to our land Igodomigodo in 12 century AD, almost 850 years now. Our Idu language spoken by the aborigines has mixed with your ife dialet due to living with us for centuries. Remember Eweka the first couldn't speak Idu language at first, hence he said Owomika.. my hands have caught it in Yoruba Those who migrated from Igodomigodo before ife immigrants came speak real Idu language. Uzea and Uromi are example. Oh you are a descendant of Evbobomwen, you should be ashamed of yourself. What will you gain denying your ancestry home ife. |
Etinosa1234:I have proven all my points to you.. Pa Idu is our ancestor and proginator of our race. When some one die in our culture we cave a wood as a representative of the person spirit and pray in the name our ancestors, that is the meaning of that shrine. It is called Ehimi Idu... spirit of Idu/ancestors. Know that also every history refered to the aborigines of that land Igodomigodo before now called Benin. Is a mark you Ife migrants are trying to erase which is not possible. Of cause Oba refered to his people as ille Ibinu, vexation in Yoruba. |
macof:Please disregard the Bini people lie here. They know their origin ife, they are purposely propagating misinformation to claim superiority. I am a direct descendant of Ogiso Owodo, Ekerladahan is not Oduduwa. Orominyan founded Ille Ibinu inside Igodomigodo. A portion of land we lease to them. |
Etinosa1234:Pa Idu is the progenitor of our race Igodomigodo We speak Idu language, not the Idu you pasted there in Idian or Egypt. Idu is our ancestors and we worship in his shrine. All Igodomigodo descendant speak Idu language which started evolving due to migration. There was no school to preserve language. Edo is a name of a slave who saved prince Ogun, Oba Ewuare from danger. He was a slave of Ogieva as am told. Oba Ewuare honor the boy and buy his body after his death. In honor he named Ogbe vicinity which is today Oredo local government area after his name ''Edo.'' Edo is not a language of race. It was in 1991 during the creation of states from former Bendel State. Edo State was created. There are many ethnic nationalities living there. I think you people are silly, you should stop trying to destroy our history Igodomigodo and respect your brothers Ife people because Yoruba is new modern word. Ife is where your ancestors Orominyan migrated from to our land. Before your ancestors came, our people have been living in Igodomigodo for thousands of years and were know as Idu people. Be warned.
|
Christistruth00:The only history we have with Ekiti is that Oba Ewuare once conquered that town in 14 century.. you have no idea what you are talking about. |
Dartilo:You don't have to debate, I don't know what you people want to gain by trying to destroy Igodomigodo history and your native home history Ife. There is nothing wrong admitting your history, the Queen of England has German ancestry, she is not fabricating stories here and there that the Englsih people gave birth to the Germans. The Fulanis are immigrants from Mali, and they are not shy of it. Though they are not aborigine in Hausaland. What is your end game and what will you gain by trying to destroy your father history Ife knowingly, by your Great Benin Descendant movement. Lastly, what will you gain, by trying to disrespect and destroy Igodomigodo history. People who gave your ancestors land to build palace, you are trying erase them out of history..why? |
Etinosa1234:Eye witnes..Lol.. you are a joke. You can't deny your root..ille ife. I wish you can but is too late. Your history has told and written down by our ancestors for us to read and learn from. Benin speak Idu language mixed with Ife dialect. Esan speak original Idu language. Urhobo, Isoko, Ika, speak Idu language. The Afema speak part of Idu language but due to their geographical location and colonization from Nupe Fulanis, and interaction with the Igalas, their language evolved. They still speak little Idu language. For food, every ethnic nationalities have their unique traditional food. But Egusi, Ogbonor, bitter leaf are general soup in southern part of Nigeria. As for dressing, the Binis have no traditional dress code, outside the gown the European gave them. That looks like Reveren father gown. The Esans on the other hand, have wool cloth dated back as far as 11 century. For bead, it was the Portugueses who gave us all bead, we were exchanging slaves to get bead from them.
|
Etinosa1234:Your ancestors in Benin Kingdom, Benin Traditional Council has already written your history down, you new generation can't change it. Is too late. Egharevba was a chief in Oba palace, short history of Benin 1934. I won't past documents here because it doesn't worth it. |
Dartilo:Thanks for being sincere. Then you are from Ille Ife not an aborigine of Igodomigodo. You have no right to talk about Ogiso or Igodomigodo history. Your ancestors Orominyan came to our land in 12 century AD. You have to respect your father land Ife. Respect your yoruba brothers as well and stop fabricating fake stories about our history. |
Wtf77:Orominyan founded Ille ibinu inside Igodomigodo and is 3 local government in Edo South, it is not fairytale. Benin became Empire in late 14 century due to contact with the Portugueses because you were supplying them slaves. In return they helped you expand your kingdom, if you are ille Ibinu in Edo State you can't deny your origin which is Ife. Ife was not an Empire, I agree but that is where Orominyan who founded Ille Ibinu came from and families who came along with him to Igodomigodo in 12 century AD. You don't know yourba history more than them. Again that your Ekerladahan story is fake. Our Ekerladahan lived and died in Ughoton according to Egharevba. Finally Ekerladahan is not the first son of Ogiso Owodo. |
