I just wrote the GRE today after 1 week of preparation along side my preparation for IELTS, which is in 2 days time. The reason for this short duration of preparation is because I was given a short notice by the organization paying the fees. I however, struggled to score 150 in verbal and 155 in mathematics. Total 305

My questions are:
1) I have the GRE to take again in June (paid for already). Given the about 3 months duration from today, is it feasible to improve to a score of 325 and above? If yes, please I need suggestions on how to study. I used only ETS official verbal and quantitative in my preoaration.

2) In error, I didn't attempt the issue analytic writing but I attempted the argument case. I wrongly pressed the continue button and it took me to the argument case without me doing the issue case. How will this affect my score? Is there any thing I can do to save the situation?

Please I will appreciate answers from everyone knowledgeable on this.

Prepare the same way you did the first time.
GRE doesn’t depend on the length of time you spend on studying, neither does it depend on the number of books you read.
(1) Learn the concepts using the official guides, (2) practice essay writing using the pool of analytical writing essay topics on the ets site.
(3) If you have access to magoosh videos, you MAY watch.
(4) If you have time for the manhattan textbook to solve more problems, you MAY use it.
You might not do all these and still have 325. It depends on how fast you can learn the concepts.

Up till now, Affordable test has not resolved the outstanding balance on my ETS account. He has been giving excuses and now; no more response from him. I am getting frustrated because schools cannot access my GRE score report. So terrible!

Really? You mean you mailed the schools and they gave that reply?
I feel the schools you filled on exam day should have your scores already because the affordable tests’ person registered a friend of mine for the same exam and the scores got to the schools he filled on exam day, though he can’t send to other schools due to the outstanding payment on the account.
The ‘Affordable tests’ person really messed up.
Sincerely, if you feel your scores are good enough, I will advice that you pay the debt.

You can try North Carolina A and T for a PhD in Industrial engineering.
Their engineering programs are fully funded for PhD. With a first class, you don’t need Msc.
Though, you might want to consider top schools since NCAT is not highly ranked.

Please I didn't do GRE &TOEFL. TOEFL was waived for me because I sent them a message that I had all my education in English. Please I read on this thread that you won't get graduate assistant job and scholarship without these exams.

You will need to provide more information. Are there GTA positions in the program you are applying to? Is It a science program or an Engineering program?

Thanks bro. I will check up on Pen state Univ. One good thing about all the schools I listed in my first post is that they all don't require GRE for Biomedical/Biological sciences except ETSU.

Oh okay. Yes, many Biological science programs no longer require GRE. You will see more when you search.

You are welcome bro. You will be fine.
Since You have something for highly ranked schools, you can check penn state uni too. It is a little lower in ranking compared to those two, I think 59th or thereabout.
They no longer require GRE for the biomedical science program starting fall 2020, though admission is still competitive

I love your choice of schools but I will advise that you reconsider Vanderbilt and UV. They are highly ranked and it’s not really easy getting into their PhD programs even with high scores and a MS degree.
At least I am aware of the experience of a close relative who applied to the biological science program of UV. Mind you, I am not discouraging you from applying there.

ST means statement of result. It means u didn't upload ur original certificates. It's not a problem though. But I guess they will request for d certificates during registration, so all u need to do is to try n get d certificates before registration starts

d cut off mark for all depts in d test of English is 40%. U are eligible to write d dept test.
And for all those who haven't received messages, calls or mails, once you perceive ur colleagues in your departments receiving such invites, don't hesitate to attend as long as u scored 40 or above. Else, at d end of d day, d department would blame it on network and nothing will b done to compensate d applicant.
