That's paper loss (unrealized loss). for your portfolio value to drop by 250k in a day, it means you are heavily invested in Zenith cos the % decline for today is less than 1%. It can easily make a gain of 2% tomorrow and you will recover fully and possibly. In the stock market, no gains or losses unless you sell. manage the Yakubu for today, Kanayo is on the way.

I don't think so. i only don't have an explanation for it. The only mistake was them not giving us positive returns when the ASI was bullish.

Looks like the updated twice. when i checked first, the return on GTEIF for 4/30 was +1.08%. When I did a daily check later, I saw that there was actually a return for 5/1 at +1.46%. I was surprised (pleasantly) because it was a public holiday. Anyways, "i will take it"

I took a look again and saw that the closing value for 4/30 was not the same as the opening value for 5/1. There was an increase

True definition of "past performance is not indicative of future results"

CSOF YTD is only reported on the Cardinalstone app. It is not open to the public and is targeted at those who are ready to initially invest at least 100m are able to hold for at least 1 year. Its current YTD is 100.08%. I don't know what it was in previous years

From the SEC sheet, these were the top 5 equity mutual fund performers as at December 24, 2025(1 week before the end of the year) :
1. GT 90.17%
2. Zrosk 74.07%
3. Stanbic Nigeria equity 65.07%
4. Paramount 64.43%
5. Anchoria 57.96%

Other funds that did above 50% were :
Stanbic aggressive 55.28%
Afrinvest 54.75%
Cardinalstone 53.45%

I deliberately omitted Halo which had 168% ytd return at that time

I believe YTD means year to date, which is interpreted as returns from the beginning of the calendar year to the specific date under reference. How can a fund have a YTD of over 100% in the first week of January?
I invest in ARM and the reported YTD in app is well below what's on SEC spreadsheet.

The NAV for ARM i believe is accurate, what you are seeing is not YTD but 1 yr return meaning it represents a full 1 Yr circle from the date you checked. See their NAV at over 100% in March April doesn't represents the YTD.

What is on the SEC NAV sheet is not accurate for some fund managers e.g ARM, Halo

I have observed this also.

Issue like this was once raised sometimes in the past on the thread, but led to an argument.

I did my calculations based of gains and losses on Zedcrest and other fund managers I subscribed with. I discovered that they don't always subtract the losses from their YTD. This is not good.

Among the fund manager I subscribed to, I find only Cardinalstone being truthful with their YTD. The fund managers YTD could be tracked and calculate week-on-week on sec.gov.ng.

If you are recommending fund managers to subscribe to, kindly put caveat.

Yes by tonight, the amount showing under mutual fund will change to reflect the gain or loss today and added to your total balance .

Determining actual gain on top up day can be confusing except you note old balance, new top up balance which is in transit now and new total balance which will be added tonight.

Essentially, you want to biforcate gain on old balance + gain on new top up.
