LagosNIV:Is it regardless of what is stated in the certificate that it's valid for 3 months? |
@ LagosNIV I have an immigrant visa interview (EB3) scheduled for 2nd February 2016 at the US consulate in Lagos. Do I need to get another police character certificate? The one I submitted to NVC was obtained in September 2016. |
@LagosNIV I have a pending immigrant visa application in the EB3 category. My priority date is current in the visa bulletin for December 2015 and my documents are currently being reviewed at NVC. I assume that if there are no issues in the process (in form of a retrogression or checklist), my exit interview will come up within the 1st quarter of 2016. While submitting my civil documents to NVC, I realized that the police character certificate I obtained has a 3-month validity and will expire in December. Will I be required to present another PCC at the time of my interview? Thanks |
winnie123:Yes, it's required. But you will only submit a photocopy of the data page |
VisaOfficer:Should the police certificate brought to the interview be the same as that submitted to NVC? Should the accompanying fingerprint card be sent to the NVC with the police character certificate? |
obailala:I still have mine and it's still working. The only thing I changed on the phone is the casing. I have never had cause to replace the battery or take it for repairs. I used this from April 2005 to August 2013

It is no longer news that Nairaland is back although, there are a few challenges currently being encountered. During the period that the site was down, what did you miss most about Nairaland? |
Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has lost one of his financial backers after he was banned for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini. Online gambling firm 888poker said it had "decided to terminate its relationship" with "immediate effect". The 27-year-old Liverpool player was handed a four-month ban by governing body Fifa after being found guilty of biting Chiellini in a World Cup match. Suarez cannot play for either club or country until the end of October. He misses the rest of the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil. Uruguay are due to play Colombia in the last 16 on Saturday after qualifying from Group D behind Costa Rica. Suarez learned of his ban on Thursday after Fifa decided to open disciplinary proceedings against the player. He was judged to have bitten Chiellini on the left shoulder towards the end of Tuesday's group game, which Uruguay won 1-0 to qualify for the next stage. Suarez denied the allegations, claiming Chiellini had bumped into him, but Fifa handed him the longest ban in World Cup history. As well as a four-month ban from any football-related activity, Suarez was also given a nine-match international suspension. Uruguay football officials say they plan to appeal against the suspension. The decision to ban Suarez for four months has split opinion. While the likes of former England captain Alan Shearer and ex-USA goalkeeper Brad Friedel have argued the ban is fair, reaction in Uruguay has largely been of anger. Huge crowds gathered at Montevideo airport on Thursday as expectations grew that Suarez would be flying there. Fans wait for Luis Suarez at Montevideo airport Uruguay's Sports Minister Liliam Kechichian said the punishment was a "disproportionate sanction" that "hurts us", while Uruguay Football Association president Wilmar Valdez claimed the ban was "excessive". He added: "It feels like Uruguay has been thrown out of the World Cup." Suarez's lawyer, Alejandro Balbi, said the player was "totally distraught", while his grandmother, Lila Piriz Da Rosa, said her grandson had been treated like "a dog". She added: "Everyone knows what they've done to Luis. They wanted him out of the World Cup. Perfect, they did it." http://m.bbc.com/sport/football/28053513 |
Nairalandaar:I believe Seun will bring it back with time. Have you also noticed that all posts, threads and accounts created after January 10 have been lost |
Nairaland is back |
I'm so happy that Nairaland is fully back. Thanks Seun for your efforts in getting it back. I can only imagine what you went through in the last few days. Do not be discouraged. What does not kill you will only make you stronger |
@Op...a basic instruction in human genetics would help you. The sex of a child is determined by the man. The sex chromosome in males is XY while that for females is XX. At fertilization, the male donates an X or Y chromosome while the woman donates an X chromosome. If you donate X, your child would be female since your woman donated X to make it XX and your child would be a male(XY) if you donate Y. The pattern of exchange is determined by God. However, if you are looking for someone to blame then it would be you because you donated the X chromosome that made your baby to be female. My advice is to go ahead and marry your woman if you love her and pray to God to grant you your heart desires or let His will be done (even if it means having only female children). |
I have a p5. The screen is not very responsive to touch. It often lags when I try to open applications. What could be wrong? I'm not a gamer |
babyosisi: @ auschris abeg forgive me,I thought you were female just by your professionNo wahala. We(male nurses) are used to the stereotyping. I guess I'll just wait and hope that the retrogression improves. Any plan that does not include my family is a 'no no' |
babyosisi: Back in the 90s there were very reputable agencies recruiting nurses, now there are a lot of scams so beware of agencies |
@OP, what are my options? I am an RN with a BSc in Nursing. I have passed the CGFNS exams. An agent(American) was assisting in processing an EB-3 visa for until the visa retrogression set in. |
