Lagos has been able to enjoy a level of success due to many factors bordering on high IGR and favourable geographical positioning.

Alaba market alone generates billions monthly which reveals that Igbos are seriously contributing to the state. PPP projects and other big businesses situated in Lagos all account for the fair development.

Supporters of the presidency of Mr. Peter Obi, known as Obidients, have thanked both the Lagos State and the Nigerian government for deploying security men at the historic Lekki Toll Gate ahead of their big rally tomorrow, Saturday October 1, 2022.

The walk themed "Obidient Forward Ever Movement" is the Lagos State version of a weekend-held walk which is to take place in the state.

Recall that the Lekki Toll Gate became a socially significant place in Nigeria after reports of the alleged military killing emerged in October 2020.

On October 20, 2020, some Endsars protesters were said to have been shot at and killed, while an extensive investigation and report carried out by Lagos State months later say otherwise. This has made the toll gate a place of interest, therefore it is understandable that the government would want to prevent any further incident at the place.

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), says he will dialogue with agitators if he becomes president.

Speaking on Wednesday when he was interviewed on Arise TV’s ‘Prime Time’, Obi said there is a need to restructure the country but added that constitutional restructuring will take time.
