Point out these things that Igbos are doing and juxtapose them side-by-side with those of Yorubas.

First of all he should ask himself if he has done half of what those who accuse him have done, and if he hasn't done anything to deserve the hate and repulsion, would sueing for unity and love shovel away the innate, unwarranted disgust from the hearts of those who accuse him?

You are not loved and it's not your fault in any way. I've been in various parts of Nigeria and have interacted sufficiently with many people of different ethnic extraction and I can tell you that the Igbo man is unjustly judged. I can say they are the most free-minded people you can meet in Nigeria, but that wouldn't cease the profiling of Igbos by people who can be deemed far worse than them in all reasonable ramifications.

This can almost be considered a tribalist post, but it isn't because you cannot find any hateful word here. Moreover, even the devil accuses sinners.

No one can successfully make a claim of Igbos as being hate-filled (which is the current narrative about them) and back it up with evidence, except for one group. The group which:

-Asked an Igbo man to leave his state, return his homestate and campaign there.

-A certain politician from it told Buhari, the president of ALL Nigeria, to not joke with the matters of "his" people. (Imagine an Igbo man saying such,he would have been torn apart by the pitbulls of neighbors he has).

-Their Oba threatened to drown all Igbos in the lagoon

-Accused Igbos, despite not having any concrete evidence, of destroying their property in a COSMOPOLITAN state.

-Their traditional ruler threatened to lead a regional agitation to actualize their 'nation' if their tribesman doesn't win.

-A political candidate belonging to it called Igbos 'okoro', a derogatory term. All on record.

-Religious leaders belonging to it boast in their worship places of never going to vote an Igbo person, but their tribesman.

Yet, Igbos are filled with hate. Such an irony.

Is it their fault that they are successful and are buying up all their ancestral lands and erecting edifices on them while the disgruntled group wallow in penury?

This is not to disparage anyone because EVERY ethnic group in Nigeria have their bad eggs. I am only pointing out the density of these bad egg per group.

Even among the group whose verifiable tribal attacks are all in print, there are good ones who aren't blinded by the normal sentiments of their people.

Any Igbo man's dream should be to continue making money, serving his God and watching his accusers come up with new narratives while he soars. Wasting his time on NL begging for peace would only betray his blood.

Asking for the reasons why you're hated is a counterproductive venture. Even our Lord Jesus Christ didn't force Himself on people.

About 50 years ago, if you ask a Yoruba and his co. (whoever you so desire to assume these 'co' to be is solely in your responsibility) why he doesn't like Igbos, he'd tell you that Igbos are domineering, untrustworthy and divisive, citing the war.

Take a step further to some 25 years after that, and the same Yoruba and his co., realizing that the points are stale would no longer mention the first reasons, but would now tell you that Igbos are tribalists who are as clannish as they come.

Further down, say 10 years ago, the above points would have been proven repulsive, wrong and at most counterintuitive. So the Yoruba man with his ever willing co., not wanting to appear dumb in the sight of rational minds (tribalists? but they voted OBJ against Ojukwu?) resort to the most ambiguous narrative which can score some good points:

Igbos are filled with hate.

We can all agree that this narrative is as juicy as they come while being effective, at least corollary, in tearing the sides apart for ephemeral gain.

Who would have known that these series of tweets were to be sequelled by a grand plot of hoisting the worst possible president in Nigeria's history on Nigerians.

While Jonathan was trying to combat insecurity, Shettima and his crew were sabotaging his government in order to murder him using the media. Tinubu would be the harbinger of the Great Evil.

Obi already has SE, SS and Lagos. Any rational human cannot deny this fact. He should make serious inroads in the core North so as to grab as many votes as possible to meet up with the constitutionally required percentage.

With Rivers vote, he'd be counterbalancing the Kano votes which as it stands belongs to no specific individual, be it Atiku, Kwankwaso or Tinubu.

This is going to be a tough game, but every indices favour Obi.

He's winning this election with a reasonable margin.

There is always a reason why people feel/believe/think Igbos are higher in intelligence than others: they, as the article rightly reveals, stand out in all that they do.

Take Peter Obi for instance. He is not in a known party; he has not served in a federal ministry; he is just a candidate in the league of candidates of unknown parties (Adewole Adebayo, Sowore and co.) but he has stood out more than even APC and PDP forbearers.

Why is this so? Any explanation?

Igbos are not ordinary people. They are fearless and enterprising and I am compelled to believe that they have some shared genealogy with Israelis.

Nobody would want to admit that this country would begin to work once an Igbo gets into the presidency.
