Antichristus: Well said. The sad thing is 99.9% of Nigerians I've encountered are products of mendacious indoctrination, lacking the ability and creativity to think for themselves. 99.9%! You again! You're empty but you feel better when you say crap about Nigeria and Nigerians. |

Antichristus: No. S/he is not; it is you who should be weeping and gnashing your teeth for the miserable and woeful country of yours called Nigeria - the ANT and SHAME of Africa. Have you heard your idiotic and imbecilic president claiming before the POTUS and the whole world that Libyan rebels - not Fulani herdsmen - who are terrorising Nigerians (and I dare add, UNABATED!) Yet you have police and military apparatuses? Your country is a banana republic. Now, you're wailing too. |

HajimeSaito:

I'm sure all the attention seeking non-entities like DaddyBrainFreeze and all the dumb, stupid, reta-rded women who lack the intelligence and self esteem to build themselves up and become self made women like Chimamanda and Hillary Clinton will be dumbfounded by this development.
When Chimamanda initially made her observation, I was just watching the reaction of Nigerians with a mixture of amusement and pity. The kind of pity I only reserve for fools. Nigerians actually thought that their rantings induced by low self-esteem and ignorance would catch Chimamanda's attention. But like a mad dog locked in a cage, the louder they barked the more they were ignored.
If the first episode gave them running stomach, this latest development will bring on a full blown case of diarrhea. Their country is on fire and thousands of lives have been lost. But rather than focus their energies on the problems confronting them on the homefront, Nigerians were busy dancing one corner over Chimamanda's innocent observation on identity politics.
Stupid people governed by a stupid president who believes a woman's only place is in "za oza room." Nigerians deserve such a president. You're crying. |

Esseite: Rather than rabble beer parlour lines, it would have made more sense if you quote the periods it happened in those different administrations. . Abu Ibrahim (Katsina-APC), accused senators of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of conspiring to impeach Mr Buhari. He justified the president’s decision to make the withdrawal on precedence. “He took action based on national interest, that’s why he authorised this payment. As far as I’m concerened, this is the first time that money drawn from excess crude oil account is being brought to the National Assembly. Since they begin to operate this account, I have never seen any expenditure that was brought here for approval. “N17.7 billion was drawn by (ex-President) Obasanjo to pay the Paris Club without National Assembly approval. Obasanjo left N9.3 billion in excess crude account but former President Goodluck Jonathan …the money with no recourse to the National Assembly. The account was increased to over N20 billion in 2008 and decreased to less than N4 billion by Jonathan in 2010. It never came to National Assembly for approval. “N2 billion was used by the previous PDP administration to fight Boko Haram in 2014. Governor Godswill Akpabio was the one who moved the motion at the National Economic Council to get the money. N5 billion was taken for power generation, funding was also sourced for Niger Delta, the same process was not taken by (ex-President Yar’ adua). It was later taken to the National Assembly and it was approved". Goalposts shifting is allowed. |

Throwback: Jonathan was the boss who employed staff that eventually made him a lame duck president throughout his tenure.
I remember vividly how Steve Oronsanye who was a former HoS and then an NNPC board member, was challenging the Ribadu committee of which he was a member, at the presentation of their oil subsidy payment investigation report to President Jonathan.
Steve Oronsanye kept on shouting in the presence of the president and the media men "what if the president said we should submit the report? And so what? And so what? This report is not ready, and so what if the president gave us a deadline?"
Jonathan was just looking like a moro.n while the news men continued clicking away on the camera and video recorders.
Oh Jonathan! He presented himself as a Dundee, so his employees gratuitously treated him as a moro.n in his own presence.
Some mothers truly do have 'em. Jona is intellectually deficient. |

LordAdamX: Please, if you guys can't read, don't comment on this thread.
She was referring to a normal power play.
This is the summary:
1. She discovered a $6m/yr loophole 2. She and the Minister of Transport implored GEJ to close the loophole as part of port reforms 3. GEJ closed the loophole 4. A GEJ aide who represented the interests of those benefiting from the loophole asked her to tell GEJ to reverse the decision 5. NOI refused and the aide tried to frustrate her 6. The aide eventually stopped when others told him he'd be in soup if NOI reports to GEJ
As to the question of why say so now?
A: The book is titled "Fighting Corruption is Dangerous." It's meant to chronicle all the opposition she received for fighting corruption. Everyone faces issues in their place of work, this is a memoir of the ones she faced.
She's not campaigning for anyone.

Senate should start the proceedings!
I hope they are not promise and fail Check this from Saraki on the same issue: “I don’t think this exercise is worth it because we endorsed it to the U.S Congress. It was after we agreed in September that the U.S government now went back to give approval to the Executive to pay to their own government so they can go ahead and sell this equipment to Nigeria". DOA! He was even referring to the issue on whether it should be forwarded or not, to House Committee on Judiciary and Co for investigation. |

Power! If rumours has it that Buhari actually paid 400 out of 462 million dollars taken, it is giant leap for us in Nigeria. Legal luminary and elder statesman, Prof. Ben Nwabueze (SAN) has written to the leadership of the National Assembly, informing them that the legislature does not have the power to summon President Muhammadu Buhari for violating the Constitution when he paid $496,000,000 to the U.S. government for the purchase of military aircraft, without the authorisation of the National Assembly.
