I would hope the whole Population of Arewa to be even less than 5 Million, will be better for quick rehabilitation and development of the community. What really matters is making things done in a peaceful way.

What I really meant is those two things should be added to the Nigerian Constitution because they are not there.

This Section does not provided much;

144. (1) The President or Vice-President shall cease to hold office, if -

(a) by a resolution passed by two-thirds majority of all the members of the executive council of the Federation it is declared that the President or Vice-President is incapable of discharging the functions of his office; and

(b) the declaration is verified, after such medical examination as may be necessary, by a medical panel established under subsection (4) of this section in its report to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

(2) Where the medical panel certifies in the report that in its opinion the President or Vice-President is suffering from such infirmity of body or mind as renders him permanently incapable of discharging the functions of his office, a notice thereof signed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall be published in the Official Gazette of the Government of the Federation.

(3) The President or Vice-President shall cease to hold office as from the date of publication of the notice of the medical report pursuant to subsection (2) of this section.

(4) the medical panel to which this section relates shall be appointed by the President of the Senate, and shall comprise five medical practitioners in Nigeria:-

(a) one of whom shall be the personal physician of the holder of the office concerned; and

(b) four other medical practitioners who have, in the opinion of the President of the Senate, attained a high degree of eminence in the field of medicine relative to the nature of the examination to be conducted in accordance with the foregoing provisions.

(5) In this section, the reference to "executive council of the Federation" is a reference to the body of Ministers of the Government of the Federation, howsoever called, established by the President and charged with such responsibilities for the functions of government as the President may direct.

Check the Constitution of Nigeria

1. The President must be Physically and Mentally Fit [Failed]
2. A Qualified Person can contest from anywhere in Nigeria without Geographical or Ethnic Variation [Failed]

Is Nigeria working on a good Constitution?

Danbatta is less populated, there are big farms and small community. It is a village in short.

The Census was a Political Tool, but I bet the Supreme Court is not even concerned with the relations between the Population and the Election results as facts.

ikeyman00:
what a united north this is
Is the News saying Kano is attacked by Kaduna or Jigawa attacks Kano, or Emir of Zazzau attacks Emir of Kano? No, this is what is happening all over the country, and not only Kano.

Regarding the Governor, he is the worst Governor we ever had, he have done nothing for the development of Kano, and in the History of Kano's existence, his administration received the largest amount of revenue both from the state and federal. He is using Islam as a tool to celebrate his ransomes, but people of Kano are now tired and they want to take action, even though the plot to assasinate him is just a baseless thing as they said. He is not even Hausa or Fulani he is Babur, a minor ethnic group in Borno.

yemmyse:
Should Nigeria be divided? Big question. But I think it is something all stakeholders need to sit and discuss.
Of course, the time when Nigeria was created, I bet they did not sit and discuss about the future of the country, maybe they taught all the ethnic groups can be united in few years just like the way Hausa and Fulani united in a very short time.

But one thing is obvious, the country, as it is currently constituted, is just not working. We need a change, a change for the better.
Yes, there must be a change in the country before anything can move forward, even if we see good things happening now, it has only 1/200 chance that it will stay in peace forever. Imagine asking all Yoruba Men to Marry Igbo Women, and Hausa Men to Marry Yoruba Women. Marriage is the only tool that can unite a nation in a very short time. Even with the marriage, it will take us 100 years or more before we equalize.

The change could be true federalism or dividing entirely, but we definitely need a change.
True Federalism? I bet it will not work since it didn't work since, Federalism is for an already united country where you can only classify people as first class citizens, second class citizens, etc. For example, when Arewa is created, all Yoruba people located in Arewa will be inherently called Bayaraben Arewa in Hausa.

The eyes of our leaders are closed, they are seeing Oil only, Oil only! None of them ever taught of the lasting solution to the People of this society, they are always thinking of the ways they can save huge amount of money, send their children abroad to study, build mansions, and enjoy life without any financial restrictions.

A campaign on this issue have already started, and formation of organization on this has already gone far. Meanwhile, we will create a strong movement not for regional government, true federalism, or rule of law, but for saving the dear people of Niger Area from a country called Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Super Nigeria Must Live"""" Skeptism Unaccepted! by auwal87(m): 2:04am On Sep 29, 2008
Enahoro have started to understand the mistakes of uniting Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, as one country, which is a very very very big mistake. Take for example, there are so many Hausa People in Ghana (About 1 Million), even though their Grand Grand Parents were born there, but they are still regarded as foreigners, they cannot contest elections, and hold higher government offices, but they enjoy all the country can offer to other citizens. The case is, if they are to be allowed to join Ghana's politics, then maybe one day in Ghana they will start looking for a shift in Presidency just like what is happening now in the Niger Area, and unity is no more there.

For ever country to enjoy Unity, the majority ethnic group are those supposed to lead their country, in the case of Niger Area, there are 3 majority groups, which each of them have the power and ability to rule its people without the other.

ikeyman00:
F**K that, i no agree again oo!! that man be member of nairaland
Why do you think he is member of Nairaland?

I think the only solution that we are all trying to run away from is the Division, and it is time, because the Unity was tried for many years now, but it is getting worse and worse and worse every day.

Land of Hope

There were you, once in a time
Midst of the Valleys, full of shades
Full of roasts, wired with roots
With molten trees, rot to death
While the spillage damaged your veins
You can't breath, even with jokes

There were you, once in a time
About to run, but the sky is dark
Darkness reign, no where to run
Hosts tempting you, hard with clout
But you always, answer with nerve
They lead you all, the way down
Down down, to a deadly end
You cry cry, and cry
But they cannot hear you cry

Those that hear can't even tempt
Unless you wake, the wonders on
You have blessed, the right with care
The left enjoy, your open gates
The center, you blessed with peace
Up the land, you spread your dream
You cry cry, and cry
But they can't hear you cry

Those that hear can't even tempt
Unless you wake, the wonders on
Now is time, for you to take your pride
Share your blessings, with the guarded hosts
Peace shall reign, and evil shall perish
The Light shall come, and stay forever with you

Who can guess the meanings of my Poem, it has a big message in it.

DRANOEL:
why turn this to a religious war?

christians are not better than muslims and muslims are not better than christians, personally as a christian i think islam is a bit more disciplined than christianity
You are a Honest Person Brother.

By the Way, I hate the way she Quote NORTHERN, I will not quote SOUTHERN as she did, but I will just quote the story here.

This Governor stole only few millions, but this one Stole over 12.5 Billion OMG!!!

The Accountant General (AG) of Ondo State, Folake Ogunnika was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), yesterday over moves by the State Government to pay N1 billion unsecured loan to political appointees in the state.

A source at the EFCC told Daily Trust, operatives of the commission were deployed to Ondo to arrest the AG.

“Some of our operatives have gone to pick her up from Ondo to Abuja where she will be detained and quizzed,” the source said.

Ogunnika’s arrest is connected to a petition forwarded to the EFCC hinting the anti-graft agency of plans by the Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Kokumo Agagu, to cart enormous money out of the state.

The EFCC Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Babafemi, confirmed the arrest of Ogunnika also in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday.

Babafemi said that huge amounts of money, running into billions of Naira, had been withdrawn from the state’s treasury through the office of the Accountant-General.

“This time around, Ogunnika has been arrested by the Commission. She is not on routine invitation.

“She is also being arrested by the Commission for various financial impropriety,” Babafemi said.

In his reaction, Mr Yemi Olowolabi, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Olusegun Agagu, said “there is no big deal in Ogunnika’s invitation by the EFCC because the commission is just doing its normal routine job’’.

According to him, when a petition is written against any public officer, the EFCC is obliged to invite such officer for questioning to know the veracity of the petitioner’s claims.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) also received a similar petition by one Oladele Yusuf, requesting the Commission to embark on a pro-active measure by restraining the State Governor from paying the unsecured loan.

Following the verdict of the elections petition tribunal in Ondo in July which nullified the elections, Agagu took the case to the Appeal Court.

The petitioner insinuated that the State Government was concluding plans to siphon money from the state treasury before the judgement.

Agagu and some members of his cabinet are already being investigated by the EFCC and ICPC over cases of conspiracy, abuse of office and diversion of public funds for personal use.

Severally, some commissioners and permanent secretaries have been quizzed by the EFCC and ICPC operatives over alleged diversion of N12.5 billion from the state’s treasury into secret accounts.

EFCC’s Spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the arrest of the Accountant General.

Hadejia can be covered with the same elevation that only some portion of Benin city can be covered. You need to understand what he means before arguing with him, but for Hadejia and Benin city, it is correct.
Here is my result.
