The very last legal word on this country’s contentious April 2007 presidential election will be heard tomorrow when the Supreme Court of Nigeria delivers its verdict in the appeal brought before it by the candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and his Action Congress (AC) counterpart, former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Both men had contested last February’s judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal which upheld the victory of Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Umaru Musa Yar’adua as president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

How many Christian inventors have there been? Newton, Edison, Michaelangelo. . . .endless. I don't see Christians trying to immediately claim those achievements for Christianity as such, attempts to do so are simply a case of undue competition, so are the many Islamic attempts to justify natural laws or principles from vague Islamic passages that can be given multiple interpretation.

In as much as christianity is irrelevant,islam is crudely backward in practice.

Al-Khwarizmi (Mohammad ebne Mūsā Khwārazmī محمد بن موسی خوارزمی) was a mathematician, astronomer, astrologer and geographer of Persian heritage. He was born around 780 in Khwārizm, in contemporary Khiva, Uzbekistan, which was part of the Abbasid Empire, and died around 850. He worked most of his life as a scholar in the House of Wisdom in Baghdad.

His Algebra, written around 820, was the first book on the systematic solution of linear and quadratic equations. Consequently he is considered by many to be the father of algebra, a title some scholars assign to Diophantus. In the twelfth century, Latin translations of his Arithmetic, which explained Indian numerals, introduced decimal positional number system to the Western world. He was among the first to use zero as a place holder in positional base notation. The word algorithm derives from his name. He revised and updated Ptolemy's Geography as well as writing several works on astronomy and astrology.

His contributions not only made a great impact on mathematics, but on language as well. The word algebra is derived from al-jabr, one of the two operations used to solve quadratic equations, as described in his book.

The goal of Hamas is to totally destroy the State of Israel. Even if the Jews sat back and did nothing to the Palestinians, Hamas' stated aim is to destroy them whatever happens.

Sanctions? Pakistan receives massive amounts of financial aid from the West.

Again, Hezbollah is an organisation created to destroy the Jewish state. It is not a defensive group but an offensive one.

1. You must be confused because muslim tradition claim it was first built by Adam.
2. The kaaba had nothing to with jews or christians so who did they "rescue" if for?

If you've been a dilligent student of history u shld know that rather than "rescue" this historic sites, islam has done a lot to destroy them.
Egypt was purely African until the 6th century invasion of muslims
Iran's persian heritage is under serious attack from muslims
Syria was predominantly christian until the muslim invasion.

Here is the problem with warped "facts" as above . . . such "common links" ONLY occur in places were muslims are the minority. Why are there no such "common links" among jews and arabs in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, even Iraq?

while muslims can afford to go to Israel and the West to forge "common links", Jews are expressly forbidden to enter muslim countries like Iran or Jordan or Saudi Arabia.

Why are westerners with Jewish visas prevented from entering certain muslim nations?

If not for the Taleban granting Osama a safe haven in Afghanistan there would have been no war there

If Pakistani millitants simply allowed India and the rest of the world to have peace no one would kill them
If Hezbollah stopped using Lebanon as a launching pad to destroy Israel, the IDF would never have gone to war with them.
