Well, I think applying for both visas at entirely different times would have been better. Applying for Spouse Open Work Permit (SOWP) and visitors visa within thesame period of time may give the VO an impression that you wouldn't come back again. It shows some elements of desperation.

But however, I so much believe in the grace of God. Wait for a decision to be taken as regards your SOWP application, then and then you would know the further steps to take.

Kindly keep us informed on the outcome...it will end in your favor.

i applied for SOWP and study visa for my children second week in october. No response. I sent medicals in November and it was updated after a month and still nothing. please what can i do? anyone waiting to .

I just came here to offer encouragement to anyone that is feeling frustrated about waiting. It is not easy but it will be worth it, as usual I will remind every-one not to be over-patient! When your application has exceeded the time provided by IRCC do not sit down. God will make it easy for us all in Jesus name!

Pls be strong and hopeful, this is delay and not denial. Ensure you raise your GCM note today, it takes 30days to get it. The earlier you raise it, the faster.

Pls kindly clarify... when did you submit your application? And how long it took them to give this feedback?

Police Report is also not compulsory for Applicants from Nigeria.

Many has been approved without it.
I think it’s only needed if you have travel histories…

But it’s not a compulsory document.

Did u respond / attach any of the following documents below. I see you were asked to do so

1. LMIA/LMIA-exempt work permits: an updated copy of your letter of offer showing that your employer still intends to hire you.

2. Accompanying spouse of a student: evidence of your spouse’s enrollment at an eligible Designated Learning Institution (DLI), and their most recent transcripts.

3.Accompanying spouse of a skilled worker: evidence of your spouse’s employment (i.e., letter of offer and paystubs), and a copy of their complete job description.

4.Post Graduate Work Permit Applicants: updated final transcripts from an eligible DLI, and a copy of your degree (if not previously provided)

Hello , have you tried to apply using the new portal, if yes did you get a code ?
I have been unable to get code to proceed with the visa application.
I also know someone that has completed the application process but unable to make payments using the new portal, once it gets to payments stage it starts to show error

I also reapplied with the new platform four days before Christmas, and the application is still in progress. I am really hopeful it comes out before the 30 working days.

You cannot make payment with your nigerian debit card. you have a limit of $100. its either you make use of dollar card or form A or you look fir someone trustworthy that can pay in CAD.

However, I implore all PPR recipients, especially those who got theirs this year, to share their timelines and documents submitted. I noticed we are gradually eroding this tradition and it is not good. This is one of the cardinal essence for the existence of this thread. Once again, congratulations to all PPR residents. For those expectant, good news shall not elude us.
